I’m guessing next year harris, thybulle and other assets are gonna be used to bring in pieces that fit better if Harris isn’t clicking with harden and embiid. Curious to see how Harris plays alongside embiid and harden. If he does well that’s awesome if not I’m guessing another move at the deadline next year or the following offseason.

He will stand in the corner and shoot 3s

If they get Dragic and Robin Lopez on the buyout market...Morey should demand apologies from everyone.

Nah not until they at least get to the Eastern conference finals. This trade was meant to get them over the top.

[Levin] i'm not saying he will, but the CBA clearly states that Daryl is allowed to dip his balls on the foreheads of everyone who said he should trade Ben for Buddy Hield

Funny, but it wasn’t Hield that would have been the big piece from the Kings, it’s Haliburton.

harden is ridiculous at drive & dish....and drive & lob. i could see b-ball working well as a lob guy. he's kind of a spaz though.

Schroder to the Rockets supposedly may get bought out.

I wouldnt hate it on a buyout deal for the bench.

I really hope Simmons doesn’t **** out of playing in Philly March 10th. Going to be crazy if he plays. Imagine if Embiid dunks in Ben’s face in front of the Philly crowd. The building may actually explode.

No way the Nets let him play that game, IMO. If they are crazy enough to do that, it's going to be real bad. Like fans yelling and cursing, throwing objects (beer, popcorn, shoes, batteries etc.) at him and some crazy nuts may rush the court and try and fight him. That's how bad it will be, if he plays.

Same. Wouldn’t have given anything in a trade but as a buyout he’s a solid bench piece.

I’m guessing he’ll be dealt in the offseason or next deadline then cause that’s not what he’s good at.

while we're all high on harden, celts acquired derrick white & brought theis back.

Well would they rather have it be a regular season game or potentially a playoff game? Either way it’s going to happen.

Unless we win a championship this year or next, I'd have to say the Nets got the better end of the deal given Simmons young age and Curry's ability to score from the outside. Harden better show up and give 100% because in the games I saw him, he looked, slow, lazy and disinterested. He better be the triple double threat he can be or Philly fans will be upset.

You're right that this move is meant to win a trophy in a year or two.  But Curry's contract is up soon. And then who knows what goes through the minds of Durant and Irving as far as longterm plans in Brooklyn.

So yeah, Simmons might be a long term player for them. But whether that's as a superstar or a role player entirely rests on the fortitude and competitive fire of Ben Simmons. So that's their long game...relying on Ben Simmons to honestly look at himself in the mirror and improve.

And if that's the case, I'd put my money on us winning a championship or two before Ben caring about basketball.

Shelbourne already reporting that Simmons likely won't play until after the All-Star break. Needs time.

If the Nets had fans, they'd be furious.

No takesies backsies!

He needs a mental break

curry is old & due for a new contract soon...durant is old & loves to jump ship...kyrie is a f'n nutjob....but yeah...they can build around simmons.

Joystick tendinitis.

I am not as excited for this trade as I would have been at the beginning of the season. I also don't like we had to give up Seth Curry. Seth would have be nice coming off the bench.

enes kanter freedom was just waived, so............

Pacers said Jalen Smith is available

Seth is too hot and cold. Ridiculously good shooter when he’s on, but when he’s off it’s brutal. If his shot isn’t on during the playoffs he just becomes a liability. Far from a dealbreaker to include him.

I also don't like that this is the best possible landing spot for Simmons. He won't have to put up much offense and the way he plays he will probably have a bunch of easy triple doubles to make it look like he's worth it

Can we actually say Vin Fosh got one right!?

Durant is still the best basketball player in the world.

I think the trade works out for both teams and both teams got better.

It's a 3 team race with Bucks, Sixers, Nets

Doesn't mean deals aren't announced. Happened last year.

That'll work. Lopez too when he gets bought out.
