**Official Philadelphia 76ers Thread 2022/2023 Regular Season*

Seth is too hot and cold. Ridiculously good shooter when he’s on, but when he’s off it’s brutal. If his shot isn’t on during the playoffs he just becomes a liability. Far from a dealbreaker to include him.

The biggest issue with keeping him was that you can’t play him and harden together in the playoffs and expect to stop anybody from scoring. Watching curry get bullied in the playoffs against the hawks was absolutely painful and that was when his other starting guard was arguably the best in the league. I always thought he had a high probability of being included in any simmons deal (especially to a contender) because of that - he’s worth way more w Simmons than without.

It begins...

ESPN radio is slobbing the Nets knob for winning this trade. Simmons will appear to make them better going through the end of the regular season. But then the playoffs will begin, and his same weaknesses will be exposed again, and it will cost them.

the crazy lopez or the one who shoots threes?

They both are Disney freaks but the non shooter.

Brook is hurt for Bucks

But he doesn't need to shoot for them. They got 3 shooters now and no big man to clog the paint. I don't know how he will be mentally but the Nets are a great fit for him.

It's so stupid. We traded a guy who would never play for us, Seth Curry and Drummond for James Harden. We got infinitely better, and the Nets...we'll see.

The national media overrates Ben massively.

A real pro would have been putting the work in all along, and be close to ready to hit the ground running.

We traded Harden for Curry and Drummond. I'm not sure how they think the Sixers lost the trade. Simmons was never playing for the Sixers again.

Those same idiots killed Morey all year for not just trading Ben for anything, pennies on the dollar. Now he gets Harden and it was a mistake?

Most of the guys are former players who are ticked that Morey didn't cave to Ben right away and made him suffer.

Everyone will be able to either send him to the line, or cheat off of him and double team others. Same as they did to us.

This. In the playoffs, it is 4 on 5. Just hack Ben if he touches that ball. We've seen that movie before.

He can't be on the court in the last 5-7 minutes of a close playoff game.

Perkins keeping it real by saying "Am I the only one who saw a guy in the playoffs who won't take open shots, open layups, and open dunks, and is afraid to go to the free throw line".

The counter is that the light will go on for Ben because he will be more mentally taken care of in Brooklyn  I'm not making that up, that's what they said.

They try the Draymond comparison, but beyond the difference in mental toughness...Draymond will actually shoot the damn ball.

One of Ben's complaints was getting drafted to a team with title aspirations almost immediately and never having time to grow and play without pressure. He got traded to a team with title aspirations who everyone now is talking like should be favorites with Ben. The pressure on the team has grown because of his presence. I wonder how he likes that.

ben will do great with durant yelling at him and under the guidance of kyrie.

He will be the pick man and roll to the basket and play in the dunkers role. I will bet he doesn't play on the perimeter in this offense.

I saw it. But maybe he doesn’t have the fearful shot blocker of trey young in that playoff series lol

I mean even Thybulle who is a horrific shooter will throw it up when the other team dares him to, and he occasionally will make a few of those. The ability to double Durant because you don't have to account for Ben on offense is going to be a huge story come playoff time, and all the "experts" are ignoring it now.

Ben + KD + Irving

2 mentally soft cupcakes and a nutjob

The Bucks are the favorite in the East, then us.

I'm sure he will love that lol!

Draymond is a low 30% career 3 point shooter, but he'll take them if you just ignore him. Ben won't.

Oh and if Ben's rolling to the basket at the end of the game...send him to the line.
