I’d love for someone to even attempt this plot today. -High school jock is unhappy with his smoke high school gf because she likes to party. -Proceeds to throw a rager where she blacks out. -Hands her off to a horny nerd and gives nerd his father’s expensive car to do with her what you will. -Nerd brings her to nerd friends house to show her off blacked out in the back seat. -Nerd also blacks out and nerd bangs her out in church parking lot. -High school smoke wakes up, has no clue where she is, falls in love with nerd, and nobody goes to jail. Hallmark couldn’t have written it any better. How old was Caroline supposed to be in that movie? Would one be guilty of a child pr0n charge for tugging it to her in the shower? Asking for Arthur Jackson.
June 29, 20241 yr I saw "the Bikeriders” in theaters last Saturday and really liked it. Without giving anything away, it’s like a more realistic version of Sons of Anarchy. I think it’s a true story. Tom Hardy stole the show. He was incredible.

July 14, 20241 yr Rewatching Starship Troopers. I always knew it's completely unhinged. Seen it a few times. But I forgot they had a football game scene. They jump twice as high as humanly possible and do ridiculousflips. Then they have a prom. I only remembered the war stuff. Denise Richards was a disloyal tease, Johhny should've just gone for Dina. She wanted him, would cut a b***ch for him, was the QB on the football team, the real prize. At least he finally F's her.

The football scene 🤣

Every minute detail about the logistics of his day, and maybe a mention of the movie. No traffic, so took the usual 20 minutes. I brought 3 air heads and a 1 regular size Butterfinger. I have a refillable popcorn bucket, so I paid the $5.49 for that and added a large fountain soda. I had a $5 off in my AMC Rewards balance, so the total was maybe around $7-8. I typically choose the aisle seat on the left-side of the auditorium -- as a right-hander it allows me to set the popcorn in the seat to my right as well as store any misc. things I may have brought with me. The movie was "fine". I gave it a 3/5 on letterboxd. That 6/10-equivalent is my version of "movie was good, its something I would watch again, but I'm never going to go out of my way to watch it again". For comparison, any film that is a 4.5-stah! or better on LB means I will end up re-watching it in the theaters, and if its at least a 4-stah! film I will recommend it to people if they are looking for something to go see or are curious about it. 3.5 is on the cusp of "go see" and "wait for streaming" depending on the person and how regularly they go to the movies (or based on what alternatives are showing that they haven't seen yet).

The football scene 🤣 It's a shlocky sci-fi B movie, but it's also smart and creative satire, it's bloody and gory but also funny, it's got co-ed naked showers, soap opera romance, an arena league football game, a teen prom right before shipping off to war, it's a little bit of everything.

The only ranking one ever needs is the simple EMB stahs 1-5.
