Have to admit that's interesting, put the whole thing in the metaphysical realm and it solves just about every problem I have with it. Not sure if it actually works through an entire watching.

This looks so bad

I can’t wait to see it.

Happy to be wrong. This was not bad at all. I think I still liked the feel of the first one a little bit better, it did have Bill Paxton after all, but this was a worthy successor, and an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. Then we left the theatre and I had to listen to my 11 year old daughter and wife talking about how they were glad they didn’t kill off the Glen Powell character…..

I saw "the Bikeriders” in theaters last Saturday and really liked it. Without giving anything away, it’s like a more realistic version of Sons of Anarchy. I think it’s a true story. Tom Hardy stole the show. He was incredible.

Watching this right now (on Peacock) . It's entertaining. I like that era. The Classic cars, the style. The main actress is British doing an American accent. The lead actor (not Tom Hardy) was good too. Kinda like Goodfellas meets Sons of Anarchy.

Or The Wild Bunch, an old Marlon Brando motorcycle gang movie.

Everything Everywhere All At Once.

I don't understand how this movie won so many Oscars. It started out decent, then got really weird and absurd. I get that there was meaning behind the artistic choices, but some of them were either way out there or B movie inappropriate. Some of the crazy things they did were on the level of Deadpool crude humor. Hollywood probably loved the directors and the fact that it was a mostly Asian cast. The movie stole from The Matrix, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Some of the elements were like a bad 90s B movie. Some elements were really well done, and the acting performances were good. But it was overhyped.

I fell asleep watching at home *at least 50-67% of the way through) and never had interest in trying to finish

It's an A24 movie. The more A24 movies I've watched, the more I realise they try and outdo each other with completely random absurd crap that makes 0 sense for the sake of being 'different'. A couple of quick examples

Love Lies Bleeding

Spoiler

One of the character turns into a literal giant to kill the dad of Twilight

Beau is Afraid

Spoiler

His dad is a giant dick locked in the attic. And I mean an actual dick that if I posted it in this thread I'd be banned

Zola was a movie based on an entire Twitter thread.

There are a bunch of others that I'm probably forgetting

Watched Jackpot today.  The new movie on Prime with John Cena and Awkwafina.  It’s not a good movie. There are a few funny things that I laughed at, but overall, not a good movie.

Well, it has Awkwafina so that was your first clue.

She’d say a line that was supposed to be funny, but to me it wasn’t.  Then Cena would say a line that was actually funny.  It happens quite a bit in the movie.

Let me guess, she uses a "blaccent," is loud, dresses quirky and is the sassy friend/sidekick.

She’s supposed to be the main character.  He’s not really in the movie for the first 15-20 minutes.

At least Cena can be funny.

That’s probably the ideal way to watch it.

New Crow movie sound track revealed.  Guess I’m too old.  Don’t know any of artists.  I have CD of original Crow movie and think it’s so much better.

I don't know all of the artists on the new one, but Joy Division and Gary Numan have been around forever.  Same with Enya.  I've heard of Foals too - I'd say without looking they're probably around 10 years old or so

Enya must have ran out of Pure Moods money
