I’m the one that said we were missing players and talent particularly at position groups as a whole. But any quality coach should have had this group in a position where Bucs aren’t blowing us out. That wasn’t a talent level thing. We had enough quality players. But dumb coaching lost us several key players in a pointless week 18 game. Hurts fractured finger. Two S lost. A.J. hurt. All while the team didn’t even show up to play in the first place. No way do I buy this roster was so devoid of talent we couldn’t be competitive against the lowly Bucs.

Let's blow it up.... give the QB no excuses.  I'm on board. Let's go Jeff... new coach.    Let the QB interview the coaching candidates.

QB is competitive and just wants to win. Wouldn’t be bad. Better than having a  GM more focused on retaining all power.

Mahomes wouldn't have thrived in this offense.     Agreed.   But my question.  Would the offense be designed the same if Mahomes was the QB.

This is something that conveniently gets skipped.    A QB has weaknesses that can limit an offense.  It absolutely effects scheme.

A QB should be able to change plays... Wentz did it all the time.   Didn't have anywhere near the weapons we have now.

We shall see how this develops for Hurts, but hopefully he can learn and make some changes in his leadership.

What design? What scheme? What even identity? Predictable but talented.

If the O was designed properly around a QB then it would thrive. Not what happened. Skill players and QB were not happy about this O. 10–1 yet frustrations were evident and obvious. Only one loss yet leaked complaints from our players

Our players knew better and before anybody else. Fans had to chant run the ball over and over.

Don’t think I ever seen a case where coaching was so glaringly bad. It was just that incredibly obvious.

No motion. Abandon the run. Bad playcalls for situations. Even a bad playcaller should get lucky and call something that gets a guy wide open. Rarely any crossing patterns. Rarely quick timing passing. Nothing in the playbook intermediate passing. It was WR screen or downfield. Even take away the RB with empty sets. RBs were supposed to be key weapons in passing game this year. But leave the QB with no adjustment for blitz pickup. Or dump off option. But taking the RB playmaker option away for what? Wasn’t any other WR or TE to turn to. Swift had to be accounted for. Instead of Stohl or OZ. Just dumb stuff. But elementary basic stuff. There is more ways to beat a blitz than a WR screen.

I don’t stop at coaching. GM hired and set it all up. The GM is what limits us.

Agree...GM has been doing awful these last few years

Been very limited compared to other teams since 2016.... agree...great assessment

On top of those struggles, Jalen Hurts' desired direction for the offense has not materialized, which has been a source of disappointment for the franchise quarterback, according to a source with direct knowledge of Hurts' thinking. A disconnect between the visions of Sirianni, Hurts and offensive coordinator Brian Johnson has affected the offense's ability to land on an identity, the source said."

I thought the owners hired GM's to give them the power to form a winning team and draft the needed staff and players. Someone has to have the power, and the owners are too busy at cocktail parties, and splitting "the power" only causes more rifts down the line. I'm sure most GM's talk to their respective coaches about staffing and player needs

It is interesting to see the interest that Johnson has been garnering even with our lack luster finish. He is one of the coaches im Interested to see how he changes when he isn’t here

How? Why? I want him fired immediately. You do this for a living! This non-imaginative, bland playbook has to go. Hell, hire Dan Orlovsky. As an analyst, he scrutinizes all offenses and scoffs at the Eagles lack of creativity.

The analyst job is easy. It's all Monday morning QB and doesn't take into consideration real issues that change things.    Didn't the draft analyst become a GM for the Raiders and mess things up?

Much harder in real life.

The head job is also much different.. some excel at that without being a great coordinator.  Look at our coaches outside if Chip....Andy, Doug and Siri... all made the SB ... not sure any were considered a top HC choice or a great coordinator?

They said Gannon was going to be a better head coach than a coordinator.  Maybe same for Johnson....plus I want the 3rd round pick..lol

Honestly Steichen is why I’m interested to see what Johnson does elsewhere.

O here under Steichen we were bottom of the league in pre snap motion he goes to Indy and they go near the top…

So how much of the offense is Johnson v Siri???

Fun fact, the Green Bay Packers have more playoff wins at AT&T than the Cowboys 🤣

Siri is the one who isn't big on motion as he stated in a few interviews.

I'd be more curious to see about the read option part or how often the QB goes under center.

Of course then the question becomes is that part more about the QB?

Well he cancelled out his strong points of roster moves by firing the coaching staff that would have finished the job. So not good enough…at all.

Yeah he got his job back and won the SB….then in record time went downhill from there.

Yep….but it still was Siri’s O. Siri was part of gameplanning and was overriding playcalls. Can’t just blame Johnson here. Siri has much bigger fault.

Motion being the piece of the O that gives ‘tells’ to the QB on reads.

Rosie needs to work with Siri and lock down some very top coordinator interviews. Everything is starting fresh anyway. No way they get by without moving the needle very significantly and sell it to these players.

Rosie hired Desai. Brought in Patricia. Fired Desai. Promoted Patricia. All moves that 100 percent ring of Rosie decisions.

What about the OC from Clemson Garrett Riley? Lincoln’s brother.
