I was asking only because I was reading the CB analyses on IgglesBlitz prepared by Tommy Lawlor.  He seems to have some concerns over Surtain.

Yup, Surtain lacks deep speed, which somewhat caps his ceiling. He's not going to be a shutdown corner that you leave on an island. But in a cover two scheme, he's pretty much the ideal corner. He tackles exceptionally well, keeps receivers from getting a clean release and has the length to disrupt passing lanes.

If you are going to run a single high defense, Horn would be a better choice. But he doesn't have great physicality at the LOS and a lot of people think he wouldn't be great in zone, despite having all the physical tools.

So if Dallas takes Surtain as I suspect and Horn is still there when our pick rolls around, do you take him or do you either take another player or try to trade back a bit?

on a side note, Some of you may remember Brizer from the old EMB years ago (AKA- Gatekeeper) I wanted to let you all know that his son passed away recently. 33 years old I believe.

My son is back in the middle east. Something I worry about every day.

I take him. He fills an obvious need and he is clearly super talented. I like Surtain more for our system, but Horn is certainly not someone I would take off my board. I like Newsome as well, but Horn is better, and has a real chance to be special. So I wouldn't hesitate in drafting him.

I did a mock with taking no LB but picking up a nice one with upside(MIKE) as a UDFA. I took 3 WR's and although this sounds excessive, if any 2 stick we are in good shape next year. So LMK what you think of this mock ( you know the numbers lol) 1 Smith-WR   2-Onwuzrike-DL  3-Kelvin Joseph-CB  3-Payton Turner-edge  4-Anthony Schwartz-WR(runs a 4.25/40)  5-Kendrick Green-IOL  6-Yeboah-TE  6-Patterson-RB  6-Grimes-WR  7 Johnson-DL  7 Ball -OT. Adding 3 WR's we should have zero problem finding 6 to keep(aka check that box off)

UDFA-KJ Britt-LB(Mike)-Auburn  Zac Thomas-QB- App St.

SO? feedback this pls. If you like a LB this draft, then remove yeboah and put 1 in,there should be 2 decent ones there

My dad(and BFF) passed before my grandmother. She left the decision to me, to pull the plug. Not fun. He was 68. 33 is too young to die

Dallas moving up to 4 with Atlanta would be great for us. If Dallas doesn't take Pitts, they would almost definitely take Surtain if he was there at 10. But Atlanta may decide to take Paye at 10 because their pass rush is so bad. Carolina is also a possibility for corner, but they could also go oline, especially if the draft goes Pitts, Chase, Waddle, Smith from 4 to 7. Sewell goes 8th, QB goes 9th, Paye goes 10th and then the Giants grab Slater and we get Surtain.

Good chance the Eagles draft DL

Smith, Schwartz,Grimes(draftees),Reagor, Fulgham, Ward, Hightower, Quez. Jjaw goes away. Roster 6,1 on the PS,one other one goes away. If you can't find 6 out of this, you really suck

I'm looking for 2.   Be nice if at the end of the year we feel we have 2 adequate starting WRs.

Smith, Fulgham and Reagor should be. Ward may be ok in the slot, expect competition there especially. But like I said,I felt Grimes was the BPA in a round 6 that may not matter alot,so I took 3,but as I also said you could easily drop a LB pick there. I have never been a Jjaw fan,but he can compete. If he wins the job I will shut up and give him a chance. It's year 3 for him, now or never

I can see that. If we re going to court a QB in FA next year or grab a top one in the draft, having a heisman winning WR on your team seems appealing,so I got my DL in round 2. Could be reversed for sure

I wouldn't be shocked or disappointed by a DL or OL pick. We have nine top 100 picks the next two years, and two of those picks have to be used in the trenches, so it doesn't matter if it's now or later. The important thing is not missing, and Paye or Slater would be fine to me. The strategy of drafting premium positions early is a good one.

Britt may get drafted, so I would take him instead of Grimes in the sixth. Maybe another corner late as there are some intriguing names out there, but it seems like this is a pretty solid draft. One note is that the Giants apparently want Smith, so we probably won't get him.

I like Farley. He has a massive ceiling. Potential to become the best corner. You listen to him talk....and you don’t just think is he the best in the class....will he become the best league wide?
