Good to see that Hurts  to Goedert connection already forming. I expect that will keep picking up. Of coarse Goedert didn’t play in Tankgame.

Goedert did drop those TDs in the Cards game. Dallas got injured in the.. ugh ...Dallas game. Try to play through it but couldn’t. I think they had a miss connection or two after the injury. I’m not killing either of them for that. He had to leave the game because of it.

I would rather we had the O line an RBs to RUN THE BALL and while its great to have receiving RB's I would rather they do their damage on the ground as intended

I don’t know all about the as entended part. Really kind of feel like much of it is an extension of the running game. I mean if you throw to him for one yard with blocking out front. It’s a long pitch basically. But yeah....I like the idea of the RB going out for a pattern more than having to stay in and block. Defense has to cover that. There should be room stretched by the WR and TE for the RB to have space. Usually getting matched up against a LB. I like our RBs matching up against LBs. Create a one on one opportunity there and I’ll take that all day!

You think a little pie in the face about Wentz having a career saving season is going to stop them two? 2010 plenty of this has been going on. Wasn’t just starting in 2020.

Not a season... the career.  I'm looking down the road.  This is a 3 to 5 year window for me.  Nothing is going to happen overnight.   But a few seasons of another guy who " had to leave Philly to have success"  if the AFC title games over the next 3 to 5 years constantly have KC and or Indy in the mix and a SB win or two from both... with the Eagles failing to win a playoff game, ... yeah,  I that's enough pie in the face.   If Doug gets another job and succeeds.. that should add to it.

You got rid of "coach for life"  ... the only coach to win you a SB, who you let go in the shortest amount of time ever after winning one,  took the record dead money hit giving away a QB who would have a successful career...  yeah, these things are not the normal mistakes franchises make. It's not Nate Gerry or Shariff Miller.

I can see it easily set up this way.  Indy has a solid team, KC ain't going anywhere,  and I know it's not popular here, but I see the division getting much better since midway through last year.  The pies are all on the table waiting to get thrown.

So Rosie put the eggs in the draft basket. Load up on picks and suck. Then he’ll show how successful they’ve been in that area. Talk about how the future is bright now turning the oldest team into a team of the future.  Look at all these shiny picks I’ve had over the last three years(considering next year’s draft as well). Point to some workings with undrafted even. Grimes and Stoll look on their way in.

But that’s after next season. Probably have to bring the ax down on Siri to take the fall. Five year window....no idea.

He got Sanders and Goedert. Both on their way to being quality starters. He gets two of his draft picks at receiver going....he can check that box. Feels like Dillard or Mailata will win a job. Just picked up the high pick Oline in Dickerson. Driscoll looks good. Herbig looks good.

That’s just the offense. Not considering Hurts. Because that could be many different variables in itself. What if Wentz doesn’t look near the MVP level QB again? He was going to be making Franchise money.” He got us out of that” he’ll say. What if Hurts looks to be a serviceable starting QB? Or even better.

Wentz sucks or gets injured then Reich could get fired himself. Feels like that team has to contend. Like you said they have to be in the AFC Championship game...at least. Their GM is doing a good job. One or both of their top pass rushers in the draft hit...that defense is very dangerous.

Is today moving day for Ertz?

Right.... in sports and in life it's all about contending.   It's why you give up that time away from your family and friends, put your body through all the diet and training,  and go play a physical sport.    The championship should be the idea.   It's why I think your idea with Foles and legacy is absurd.   Not trying again because of fear of failure is a loser mentality,  I don't see that from a guy like Foles.  Those type of guys live for the opportunity to compete,  compete for something.   The only reason for Foles not to want to come to Philly is that he doesn't like the situation here.

Like I said and you have confirmed in your last posts.     At this point now it's all the front office  ... the results will reflect 100% on their choices.  They chose this path.   Let's see what happens.

Foles has made over 74 million dollars. He gets four million this year and four million next year(even after he’s released). I’m thinking he’s ready to retire. But why walk away from that money? He just has to keep himself in shape. Not likely to be on the field to take a toll on his body. He’s 32. Can retire next season once they release him. I don’t think he has a loser mentality. Just know he’s been through plenty in his career. Mostly negative. Don’t think he left many fans in any of these cities. He was an overpriced bust for everybody but us. But here....he had some magical moments in both stints. I think Foles has come to grips with his plight. What could he accomplish and do to enhance his legacy in Philly? But the potential damage. Is it worth it? I think he’s takes his over 80 mil and rides into the sunset. He’s not a "loser.” He’s a great guy and a smart guy.....oh yeah...a wealthy guy.

I AM NOT SOLD on this. Not sure who the writer is but never heard of him before. Besides, who is Foles to decide where he can and cannot go? That comment does not make any sense, unless you take the Trade for Foles when Chicago was trying to get Wentz and Chicago was insistant on Foles going also. Foles probably was thinking Eagles did not want him anyway so who cares?

Ham, the football career is short.  If there is an opportunity for you to play and go into a situation you are comfortable,  then you go take it.    Only an idiot would think about legacy and that it could be ruined for Foles now.   How could it be ruined for Foles.  There are no expectations for this team.   The only QB that can fail for the Eagles is Hurts.  That's it.  Flacco , Foles or any other QB don't matter at this point.

I mean, if a team trades for you... they probably want you..right?

Right, But the Eagles did not want Foles in the deal because of cap space. Foles may have taken that the Eagles did not want him, so said he did not want to go to the Eagles to save face.

Just conjecture. not even sure he said that or if the reporter took it out of context as they often do.

Foles threw for27 TDs with only two interceptions with a passer rating of 119.0 his first stint. Tied the record throwing seven TDs against Da Raiders. Having a perfect passer rating in that game having thrown more TDs than inconpleteions. Went to the Pro Bowl that year. Was MVP of the Pro Bowl.

His second stint here he saved the team and won the Super Bowl being SB MVP. Credited with the idea to call one of the biggest plays of the game...Philly Philly. Was called on again with the team in a terrible position the next season. Got them into the playoffs miraculously. Won a playoff game. Then was leading the team down with a trip to the NFC Championship on the line.
Just figured I’d type all this out so you can understand his actual legacy here.

Wow, you were in the discussions at Novacare and have been holding out on us all thus time?

I understand this part.   I'm asking, please explain to me how it could get ruined at this particular time?    Right now with this team?  Explain?

I stink and have bad luck everywhere else but one place... nah, why would I want to go back there.   Incase I mess up, then people there will hate me too.

I mean, if I mess up with this Eagles team that has such high expectations... they will kill me there...lol.

I don't see any negative energy directed towards anyone's failure but Hurts.  There is zero Foles can do to ruin any legacy in Philly.  Other than steal the trophy, commit some crimes etc.  Buy nothing on a football field would do it.

I guess you did not read the numerous articles about the proposed trade? It was mentioned that Chicago wanted to package Foles as part of the deal to get Wentz. This is not new..... The writers all said the Eagles did not have the Cap space to accommodate that.

So Foles didn't want to come here due to cap space?     Why does he care about cap space, that isn't his issue.  If the team wants him, that is their issue.  If it was an issue, then the Eagles wouldn't have been interested in the first place.

No, I read the Eagles did not want Foles included with the deal for Wentz. Not sure if it was Cap space or if they wanted to go younger and thought Foles would be a distraction... Maybe both. Anyway, maybe Foles read that and thought the Eagles did not want him back for some reason.... So maybe he said something to the effect he wasn't interested and taken out of context by the reporter. Again, I am not sure he said anything. Anyway, does it really matter now? He is not coming here and I doubt anyone is gonna sign him unless they can do so for allot less then he is making now....

Idk, the article said the Bears couldn't find a trade partner, except for the Eagles.  Foles didn't want to come.   You could assume this was possibly included in a potential Wentz trade.  I don't.   I think the Eagles wanted picks for Wentz.  I think this could have been after the Bears signed Daulton, this is what the article(s) are alluding to, that the Bears wanted to unload Foles but only Philly was interested.

And the reason I think this was more than a potential Wentz trade, at that point it was before Daulton, Foles was only QB on the roster.  I don't think they look to unload him to other teams and leave themselves nothing at QB.
