I get the hold him till he end but if we don’t get what we want and won’t trade him because of that why then would we just flat out release him... Trading him for a 7th frees up that money and you got something in return is still better then just flat out cutting him

Because according to OTC we need that money off the books to sign our draft picks

Didn’t we just free up some 4-5m with Alshon and Malik coming off the books and had some like 4m already in space??? 

Our draft picks have "agreed to terms", but I don't believe the money is there yet

And Kerryon Johnson reworked a deal to give us more space... We are what just shy of 9-10m

IDK just checked OTC they are pretty up to date and it shows we are at 6 mil and change,but the rooks have not been signed according to the roster sheet

BG... yes hold out until last minute for the 7th. This is what I'm saying. 

But if you don't get the 7th.  Now the Eagles have to decide if it's worth the cap hit to keep him.  That's cap space you don't get back.   That's a roster space that can go to someone else.

Lmao but we have those offers what are you not understand if reports are to be true Eagles have had offers for Ertz but it isn’t what we want and refuse to trade him for nothing...

So again if we are refusing to trade Ertz for these lesser offers that we don’t think are worth it then why would we then just cut Ertz for nothing????

I believe we are cleared to where the draft picks can sign.  It's why I think they can hold on to Ertz until they need to let him go.   Idk why it's hard to comprehend.   If the cap savings are the same... and you have 3 months, why not hold out for a trade?  We experienced Sam Bradford to Minnesota.  You never know.

Idk but I'm pretty sure they led the league in 2017, the only year they actually got the only trophy that counts.

Yeah but those offers could be like "Here is our offer a week before the season opens" so they may be just collecting offers for now and seeing if anyone ups the ante as time passes

Idk, but I don't see any good for Ertz to play here as a backup this year.  Not going to up any trade value that way, and getting comp pick value to me ... not worth having to avoid signing free agents to get it.   Is it worth $8 million or whatever for pick # 140 in 2023?  

Rolling cap, you lose that cap space forever.  I don't see it.  Ertz is done here.
