They are getting their message out to Fletch for him to make sure he’s dedicated and in shape. That he has to ramp things up a notch if he wants to continue to dominate into his thirties.

Read up on how Fletch gave up junk food and changed his diet going into 2018.  Wanting to repeat.

They are setting the bait for fans like yourself, to push blame away from them.... the constant recycle of the money all the time, getting the mind off of winning games and on winning the salary cap.

The defense was built to play with a lead.... the ultimate " we think are fans are stupid saying"   plenty were in on that idea.    This is the latest planting of the seed.

To be honest, for the long term, they are probably better off trading him before the deadline this year, he is their biggest asset, could help them build the foundation that could possibly go onj the next playoff run.   I'm ok with that, just don't try to sell me on this BS.

Well he hasn’t shown up though yet, right? So wondering about his conditioning is a legit concern.

I read my first article comparing Hurts to Mcnabb been waiting for it… Will say there are a ton of similarities in there first years

Looks like Hurts had better rookie season than McNabb. Be nice if he ends up better than McNabb.

I’d saying the difference in eras they were about the same… But Mcnabb had a huge jump in year 2 question is will Hurts

Could also argue Mcnabb having less to work with as well

I’d obviously argue about the negative impact Tankgame had on Hurts stats. Just came off games throwing for 338 and 342 yards. Then threw for 72 and an interception in Tankgame.

Is it about stats or helping your team win?

The article was specifically comparing stats.

Hurts came off good stats vs Dallas... how many points did we score that game?

But on that front is exactly why I give Hurts a pass on that interception against the Cowboys. 3rd and 12 down a bunch of points at the twenty. I do think he HAD to throw that ball. Gotta take a chance in the endzone on that play. Ended up a bad interception. But I’m perfectly fine with that. Go for the win. Or at least a chance at it even if it’s remote.

One man can’t do everything. He had decent stats against the top D in New Orleans...came out with the victory. I think he did about everything he could in that Cards game to win. Threw the ball. Ran the ball. We had a blocked punt that gave them a TD and 16-0  lead early. Hurts really rallied the troops. Came back and tied it at 26-26. Would have given us the lead if Ertz doesn’t flail on the hold. Had to go for two point conversions after that pretty much. Forget field goals. Then on their own thirty late the Cards did a successful fake punt on fourth down. Hurts can’t do all the ST also. Just too much to ask. Even still at the end he hit Goedert in the endzone but he dropped it. No doubt we would have gone for two and the win. So I’d say Hurts was on track to lead us to victory vs the Cards. Couldn’t overcome the rest of the team’s fowl ups. Not on him though. Two of his three starts he showed up as a winner and pretty darn clutch. The Cowboys game wasn’t real pretty. Not sure if all the people clamoring for Mailata remember guys game? He was getting owned. It was ugly. That game sticks out to me with Mailata. Just not sure about his pass blocking skills....especially when you look back at that game. Bad complete whiffs. You can get all excited about him pancaking a guy....but I’m looking for more consistent pass blocking. He had some moments in that area I’m just not sure he can fix. Basically makes him a RT. He still has to improve even further to do that.

Goedert’s drop in the end zone at the end of the Cards game was on 3rd and 21. I’m putting that in the clutch category for Hurts.

Davion Taylor is supposedly much more advanced coming into this season than last. Of coarse that bar can’t get much lower.

True! What, in the beginning McNabb's best receivers were Pinkston and Thrash?

Torrance Small, Na Brown and Charles Johnson

That's right Ham. Thanks! Wasn't many targets. That '99 season was brutal.

DeVonta Smith really represents something we just haven’t done. Desean Jackson way back in 2008 we drafted that was a big time receiver. That was a long time ago. DJax was more of a weapon as a threat than his stats showed. Really effected defenses even without catching the pass. But I still didn’t consider him on that Uber elite level. DeVonta really has an opportunity to show us something we haven’t seen. We might have actually drafted a bad a22 receiver! No stopping the hype train at this point. Really excited to see what he can do.

This is going to be Hurts sixth OC in six straight seasons since his Freshman year being the first freshman to start.

What does that say about his football smarts? Pretty good I imagine?

Cunningham, what is the man crush on Hurts about? Not harping on you. Its just a real question I want to understand better

Also, take Cox away from this defense and it is BAD; not below average but BAD! Cox is a hall of famer and the best player on this entire team.....and it is not even close.
