Think Wentz was terrible last year but so every the entire supporting cast around him.

I think trust matters with WRs and OL and think Wentz completely lost it in his guys. Early in the season just so many missed plays that Wentz made I can think of like at least 3 plays to Hightower that are likely Tds if he makes the catch but missed

This doesn’t extend just to Wentz either as Ham loves to indicate Hurts had a huge dropped play by Geodart that’s likely a TD.

And this was consistent on the year how many of these missed opportunities by our playmakers would have altered the season how different would our QB play have looked…

I can't understand why Wentz's mechanics went to hell. YOu can blame the supporting cast and that has some merit but you don't forget how to play QB in one off season.

If he was gun shy you'd think he'd release the ball too quickly, not hold it too long.

Does anyone other than ASG and myself miss GBNC?

I don't think anyone is saying Wentz was the only reason the team was bad. But Watson had a crap situation in Houston and put up elite numbers. Stafford has never had a good team around him. Wentz isn't the first qb to have a bad situation. I think a lot of people on here are somewhat oblivious to the fact that other teams miss on draft picks and free agents and have injuries as well. It's not like the Eagles are some outlier. There's a reason Wilson wants out of Seattle, Watson out of Houston and Rodgers out of Green Bay. The difference is that they have overcome bad situations, while Wentz didn't. That's why the league wasn't beating our doors down to trade for Wentz. The tape doesn't lie, he was really bad last year, to the point where he looked worse than a rookie second rounder.

Agree about the teams ....  but those guys had offensive pieces.   Teams mean defense too.    Which one can you compare just the offense and say it was as bad as the 2020 Eagles.... just the offense. Not just talent,  the constant changing not only from week to week, but during games...due to injuries.  All 11 spots on the offense had a player take their first career snap last year.  I've never seen anything close to it.    It's also the biggest pass that Hurts gets from me.   The Eagles QB can easily be considered the worst job to have in the NFL the last 2 years.

I don’t agree with this. We should have beat Seattle to win a playoff game two seasons ago. Hardly the worst  job to be a part of that.

Signed a new QB 3 Nick Mullens

Looking at our DL after this year.

Be huge if Milton and Marlon can fill there roles at DT our interior could be in a good place again. Milton is the guys that to me really needs to flash but if Marlon can become that Beau Allen type guy would make for a decent #2 DT or really god 3rd guy. Would allow us to look at options for Hargrove and Cox if needed.

DE- my thoughts are it’s going to be between Barnett and Sweat guessing only one sticks around. My guess would be Sweat.

Why didn't we beat Seattle?  Because our best player got hurt.

If you look around the league.  I'm terms of the talent, the experience, the injuries,  the constant changing of the lineup, the lack of a running game,, and offensive coordinator by committee.

Idk if you could find a worse job in the league.  But I'm sure you will spin it some how.

I can only think of the Jets lol with Adam Gase

12 out of 50 he put on Wentz…. I mean that is to many by Wentz but that still 38 sacks given up by the OL that still isn’t good inn12 games.

Team was a mess all around

How many hurries were Wentz?   I would have thought the Superbowl made a lot of things clear to fans... after seeing Mahomes go through all that.   I think he was only sacked 3 times.   The hurries and getting hit were out issues.    For both QBs.     Do we really think the problem was only 50 plays ?     Or 12 ??   whichever # you want to use.

I look at the bigger issue... you guys worry about the details.  Doug and Wentz wanted out.    That's the big problem.   That's the organizational problem.

" It's great for both parties.... is BS.... the Eagles need to show it now, that it was good for them.    Andy leaving was great for Andy right... look at his success the last 8 years in KC vs the last 8 years in Philly.   Night and day.

" but he's learned to do this ... and the QB is learning to work on mechanics ... Bull$XXT  ... the organization needs to learn something at some point.   Curious to see if Doug goes somewhere and has more success.... what will it be that he learned.     But it was good for both parties.  LOL     Well... lets see how good it will be for the only party that matters... the Eagles.

Lmao Joe just because we are talking one aspect of the game doesn’t me we are excluded the other we were talking sacks. Hurries is another area we all know the OL was bad last year. But as I know the OL was bad I also realize Wentz had faults of his own as well.
Doesn’t have to be and or both things can be equally true

Might be old news but Eagles signed QB Nick Mullins

If you look at the hit Wentz took from Clowney it is almost the same as the cheap shot that ended  Trent Greens career

Our best player?   Hahaha...nope. Wentz got injured. But if McCown doesn’t also get injured....or get old ...in one game at the end we could’ve won still.

We’re going to have to see how long it takes these rooks to take a big step up. Marlon I see as a goaline package, shirt yardage... nose tackle type. Just not sure how long it will take for him to get there. build up the man strength to play that massive rock inside role. So he brings a certain skill set. I probably am more thinking of him as a fourth DT....if I’d try that kind of label.

A very potentially underrated move we made was picking up Ross Piersbacher off the Football Team’s PS at the end of last season. Hurts former teammate at Bama could really be a fit at C.

Have the future Oline potentially look like Dillard, Seumalo, Piersbacher, Dickerson, Mailata

How 'bout them Sixer's? BOO-YAH! Hope they keep it going.

Who was the best offensive player for the Eagles in 2019?   Even with your complete bias and theoretical posts from left field , I think this one was obvious.  McCown is who he is, like Foles, you hope the luck is there and it's a good day for a backup.  Hard to put any blame on him.

I have no more to say about Wentz. He is gone. We all have our opinions and some disagree with mine. I frankly do not care anymore. I hope he plays enough so we get next year's first round pick, After that his performance does not matter to me unless I have him in FF.

Hurts is another matter. Here is one fan hoping he steps up his game enough for all to see promise. What I hope does not happen is his play is middle of the road. Then we have to at least give him more time to see what he can do. Yes we need to give him a fair shot. I get that. But if he plain stinks up the joint, I feel we will have enough film to know he won't make it, even if we give him 2 more years..... 16-20 games can be enough for evaluation should he hit either end of the spectrum on his play. It is when he is in between they have to give him more time. That is when I get concerned we might lose our window to grab an elite talent at the QB position....

Just how I feel. I know some are not concerned. There are many ways to look at it.

To me you can’t not get a guy on a maybe for Hurts if he doesn’t show this season he is the guy 100% and we are in position for a top QB you have to take it. Just how I look at it.

This is Hurts window to prove he is the guy he either does enough to shut everyone up and show he is or we go into 2022 looking to replace… Don’t feel like we should have any middle ground as an organization

I would love the Eagles to address the defense next draft. Based by What I see, there are allot of CB's ranked in the top 32. So I can see them drafting a CB, S and DE in the 1st round and taking a LB in the 2nd. Talk about revamping a Defense......

I’m looking for around the 3000 mark passing for Hurts this year 25 tds under 12 ints…. Not elite numbers but respectable and realistic expectations for a starter in his first year.

Add another 500ish yards rushing 3-5 tds and get the fumbling under control.

Think this would be a strong season by Hurts and prove he can be the guy

We do have some WR's for him to toss the ball to, assuming they do not get hurt. We also have a decent O-Line to protect him. So he does have enough fire power to show he can do it. I am rooting for him. He seems to have the intellect, which is a big part of the equation.
