I don’t even know how we can remotely say this he has done nothing to note in the nfl yet…He had and I’ll be generous extremely up and down 4 games last year. Hurts still has to prove he can be a starter and not just a high end backup which is what his play looked like last year.

Embiid gave us A 2nd half that was very much like Hurts.  Overall stats looked good though

Just soooo many variables. The biggest being The Slim Reaper. How quickly does he hit the ground running?

Wentz had 4000 with no WR having 500 yards in a season…. Sorry if I’m not giving Hurts the excuse of WR play for why he can’t at least manage around 3000 yards

Jojo finally looked human near bothering him when you like to see your other stars carry some of the slack.

Eagles have the youngest WR unit in the nfl and we went out and got a coach that specializes with WR as our HC… No excuses for that group this year we invested lot of value into that group.

Two 1st rounders a 2nd rounder two late rounders and two gems from the PS.

Not expecting them all to be successful but we need at least 3 guys to step up and show they are NFL worthy starters.

How much will things change for 2022 depending on this coming season…

Geodart get a new deal shows he can be a top TE

Smith shows he can be a #1 WR other guys show they can be good compliant pieces.

OL we find our LT be it Mailata or Dillard(or better yet both are studs and we got new young bookends). Dickerson sees the field shows he is worth the pick could see an entirely new revamped OL that’s way younger.

Hurts then good then the offense could be set if he is bad could the say QB is the missing piece for the offense.

Forgot to add RB to me this group is more about how the committee more so then one guy.

If the guys can fill their roles the group as a whole should be successful. Sanders will give you good yards and break big plays, Hopefully Kerryon can be that blocking back on 3rd down he also has good hands… Add the change up guys in Scott/Gains could be a dangerous group that can give lots of different looks.

BG93- I really want them to get a stud RB in the next draft. Someone that can handle all 3 downs if needed. Sanders just not seem durable enough for me.....

If Hurts works out, then we may be able to draft a RB round 2 next year.... Of course we will have so many options should this happen.... Will be nice to finally start getting younger and not have to redo so many contracts to stay under the cap....

I don’t think this will happen the 3 down RB is a dying breed…And Siri coming from Indy which leaned heavily on the the committee as well.

Miles Sanders has only missed 4 games in two years and they were all last year with the hamstring. Not sure we can say he is or not durable enough yet.

Colts RBs

Taylor had 268 touches

Hines had 152 touches

Marlon Mack got hurt game 1 but they resigned him cheap.

Don’t think Hurts play effects our decision on RB good or bad but with a 2nd round investment in Sanders and a 5th rounder this year in Gains… along with how we value the position and the ground game as an organization Not sure we see us draft a RB high.

I really think I’m hearing and seeing enough to knowHurts is a legit level starter. I don’t really even question that. How far is his ceiling? That part is the mystery.

We know nothing until he proves it on the field. There are times where a Player has all the promise in the world but flops on the field. What was that QB in Detroit. Mark Fidritch (spelling?) That dude was a sure thing. What about that QB drafted by Oakland in the first round and lasted 2 years? Nope, do not want to appoint Hurts any sort of starting job for the next 10 years until he proves he can handle it.

I doubt using a 5th round pick can be considered any sort of investment at that position. As to how much we value the position, you already said you think Siri will pound the ball more, coming from Indy. I would think that would indicate we need to invest a bit more in the position....

I think of Tim Tebow intangibles off the roof with Tebow player smiled him good leader but play didn’t matchup with it… Now Hurts is a better QB then Tebow ever was but point being all the intangible stuff means nothing when you don’t follow it up with your play on the field

Wouldn’t it be how he performs to indicate that ???? And he came from Indy that used multiple RBs lot of which were late rounders.

Taylor 2nd rounder- Sanders 2nd rounder

Hines 4th rounder- Boston Scott UDFA but has shown to be a worthy backup change of pace guy

Marlon Mack-4th rounder- Gains 5th rounder.

Then can add Kerryon/Howard which ever one makes the team.(want to say Kerryon is a former 2nd rounder and Howard is a 5th rounder)

Lot of people wanted to take gains in the 3rd round from what I recall as well so getting him in the 5th could be a steal.

Jordan Matthews is looking to covert to TE not sure how that will work for him hey seems to be a trend for players QB and WR that can’t cut it let’s covert to TE

I am not sold on Scott and Howard has shown nothing recently. Johnson has 283 career rushes. After that it is conjecture as the rest have no history yet...

Maybe Gains and someone else shows something. I don't know, but I want 2 studs at RB. I don't want Sanders and a solid trio of back ups....

Why are you not sold on Scott as a backup… I don’t think he is a lead horse but as a backup dude is fine

80 carries 374 4.7 per rush can’t ask much more from a backup guy extra 25 catches for 212 receiving.

Leonard Fournette In comparison had 97 carries 367 for 3.8 yards per carry.

Hines colts backup 89 carries 380 4.3YPC he was way more of a receiving threat though.

Pollard 101 carries 435 4.3YPC

Idk to me Scott seems like he is right on par with most nfl backup RBs. We can go with preferences I like bigger RB personally but I’m not letting that sway the production of Scott.

Howard hasn’t really played since 2017 he could be finished who knows and Kerryon has 283 carries at a 4.3 clip and graded out as the 2nd  best pass blocking RB behind Jordan Howard over the last like 3 years. He also paired that with 61 catches.

I don’t see any of these guys as Zeke or Henry not going to try and confused that but if they can fill a role in a committee which is what we seem to be trending toward I take it.

Think you asking for quite a bit how many teams truly have two studs at RB…Give me the stud and the guys that can fill there role.

In other sports news looking like the 76ers might choke away the series another tough L down the stretch….

Cleveland HAS Chubb/Hunt, Raiders have Jacobs/Drake, Ravens have Dobbins/Edwards, GB has Jones/ Williams and a rookie also that is a stud. SF has some stud RB's

Point is, there are teams out there that can pound the ball and not lose a beat with their top 2 RB's. Maybe we have that now... I guess time will tell

I am bad luck, Every Game I turned on this series and Washington series the 76er's lost. Last night before I went to bed I decided to check in and see who was winning. The 76ers were up by 14, then Atlanta started their come back. I turned it off before Atlanta went ahead but the damage was done as soon as I turned it on lol...
