I think you have to waive him injured. If nobody claims him off waivers we can keep him.

I don't know that they have to waive him injured but he has to be on the 53. On September 1 he can be placed on IR. That's my understanding, I could be off base.

If this is about Tyree I read something similar. If we try and put him on IR now he has to pass through waivers first. If we wait and he is on the 53 we can IR him and designate him to return if we wanted.

Option two sounds like the better course of action can keep a young talented player and a guy like Rodgers should still be available if we cut him on final cut day.

If I have it right, there is no longer a designated to return tag, anyone can return from IR. Some things changed around last year due to COVID, IR being one of them.

I don’t think you have to designate it anymore but do believe there is still a limit to the number of guys who can come off IR want to say it’s still 2. Could be wrong though. Rules change to much on this stuff to keep track lol

Seems like a pretty fair and accurate breakdown of Hurts so far through camp/1 preseason game:

Well, this is my take on Hurts: He will be a great FF QB, but not so sure if he will be a great QB for the Eagles. If he can stay healthy and get more accuracy this may change....

He does seem coachable, so that helps....

Hurts the developing as a passer is key to it all. As exciting as the running QBs are they don’t tend to win chips and that is the ultimate goal.

I believe you're right

Unless the rules have changed.

Saying Smith will play tonight not sure how long not even sure it’s the best idea….

Reports saying teams are connecting the Eagles about Dillard… Think we need to seriously considering pulling a trade getting whatever we can for Dillard at this point.

Was hoping he would really push for the starting job but didn’t seem to happen get what we can in return for him.

I'm down, was never a fan anyway. Even if we traded him for a pick, voila, there is your roster space for jackson(if we need it)

Then we have that mysterious "covid" list HAHAHAHA

I do he needs to be in a real NFL game at real NFL speed, something Reagor has apparently not mastered yet. He needs to take snaps to gauge what work he needs to put in where. He has NEVER played against a starting NFL CB,so let's get him some experience

????? Who do you CUT Ward, Fulgham or Jjaw seeing that the first 2 haven't played. I think Jjaw is being played as a "last call"/make or break. At least that's what i am getting from it and franky if Jjaw gets cut,it wouldn't bother me at all(also not,nor ever was a fan of him either)

BTW,IMO Reagor looks like a round 3 /4 pick not a 1. He better turn up the heat in his jock pretty fast(still dreaming of Quez,Smith and JJ lol)

The sad part for me is even if Reagor stays where he is and gets no better,Howie will keep him around just to cover the fact he was wrong lol

FWIW my boy Olave is ranked first, and the other OSU WR is second in the 2022 draft. We could save Reagor/Quez for the slot, but if we don't take a QB next draft I would put Olave on my team all day long. Smith, Olave ,Reagor, Quez is a pretty nice starting line-up going forward

Won’t matter if he plays and gets hurt again not sure how long it takes for a sprained MCL to heal no doctor. But a set back in a meaningless preseason game doesn’t seem worth it…. I’d say I’d trust the Eagles med staff but we have seen how that goes for us in recent years.

He had look the part of first rounder all through camp but not overly excited for anyone until they produce in the regular season.

I read where he had training during the off season. Specifics for route running, blocking and what not...?

Exactly! One more year developing at that level before being officially ready wouldn’t be bad for him.

Fractured back shouldn’t be messed with. Probably best to just let it heal up real nice and solid. Give the guy a chance at a future.

Don’t think he will get what he needs from this anymore Jackson can always hone some more but sounds like he would benefit much more if he can actually practice with the team being the 3rd or even 4th TE.

Getting actual reps against nfl caliber players learning from experienced TEs. But that just my take on it.

I thought it was a radial process bone like Wentz has a few years ago

So if he has no experience at all, then he would be more able to get injured when the season started,so catch 22

JJ produced from day 1. I'm tired of excuses,DO YOUR JOB

SO why is this ok for TE's but not for WR's like Smith?
