So MINSHEW is coming in as QB 3 which makes sense to start.

Though my guess would be he becomes the starter over Flacco if Hurts were to get seriously hurt or just flops.

Either way the Eagles are in a pretty good spot to figure out qB this year and for future. Absolute worst case scenario I see is we have to low end starters(high end backups) on rookie deals. That could help us get a QB along with our picks in 2022 if needed.

Minshew 2020 stats

Not bad in 9 games on the worst team in football

I really don’t see any downside on the Minshew trade….

Even if he never starts for over the next two years a 6th rounder for a guy with starting exp. for under a mil each year.

The ONLY way this is a bad deal is if he is worse than Mullens 🤣. This move gives us boatload of options

Just looking at Minshew over the last two years he seems to be at worst a low end starter

Jack of all trades, master of none

To even mention master in the same sentence as him is too complimentary of Pryor... 😃

Mullens was trash. He was worse than Suds(if that's possible). I'm glad we are making coherent moves that make sense. Howie must be on vacation

Jack Shite lol

Now,call Novacare and tell them I said to pick-up Samuel. It's a free draft pick with upside

Wis announced his retirement

Well…..I was finally able to watch the game. I will say again, WHY does the NFL even bother with preseason. Awful football.

Observations: Learned nothing. Players that will ACTUALLY PLAY when it matters were in street clothes. Players that played will not be on the team.

I don’t mean to offend anyone here, but……

* Why all the hubbub about THIRD AND FOURTH AND FIFTH string guys? Huntley, Holyfield…who cares. They are camp bodies.

* Why the excitement about Minshew? AND the idiot GM gave up a 6th rounder for him. I keep my draft pick vs trading for a THIRD stringer. The Eagles are BAD! They are going to need draft picks WAY more than guys that won’t even play.

* How does a talented WR go from starter to disappeared? Fulgham seems to be at the bottom of the depth chart and he has proven he can play on Sundays. I don’t get it.

* An Orthega whiteside sighting in the game. Stop the press!

* I don’t trade Dillard for anything less than a 2nd rounder. He played well….against backups, but he has potential.

* 2nd and 3rd string Eagles’ defensive players SUCK! I mean, they really SUCK!

* Embarrassing ending to the game. Sigh!

* Good news - I wont have any expectations as I think this is a bad football team. Develop some core guys and find a QB next year.

What happened to Joemas? Did you guys run him off? I actually enjoy reading his insight and happen to agree with a lot of what he says. He has a good understanding of the game. He can be a bit abrasive sometimes, but many here have been offensive or sharp with their words. We all freaking LOVE the Eagles. We need to all remember that…..and that we all have opinions, but we all have butts too. Just saying. 😳

They are camp bodies until your top line guys get hurt................then you have to play them. That should be obvious with what happened to our receivers and O line before. If you don't have those guys you are playing the gatorade crew and cheerleaders. They are also trade pieces that can be used to trade for other trade pieces lol. Remember when we had to play Ward and run out and sign Fulgham? And we had to press Mailiata into service?

Logically a good move. Flacco's last year probably,so we can move on from him next year and Minshew becomes the 2(or 3 depending).Or he(Minshew) can be traded away for something else. With all the draft picks we have coming you aren't going to get a decent fill in QB with a 6 pick(and don't start with the Brady thing, that was a fluke and everyone knows it). Now we have Hurts and Minshew and that opens up a variety of options. 1)We can go for a top QB next draft, that makes Hurts the 2 and Minshew the 3. 2)We could trade Minshew for another pick for a team that needs a BU QB. 3) We can do nothing and keep Hurts as the 1(if he kills it this year) and Minshew the 2 and we can either draft or locate another QB3(not tough to do really) 4) We can trade Hurts for THE top(see franchise) QB like we did for Wentz. The rook is the 1, Minshew is the 2 and we find a 3rd again. Doing this just opens up all these options and we can use any of them WE choose.Since you aren't concerned about 3rd 4th 5th string guys, why are you freaking out on losing a round 6 pick because In round 6 those are your 3rd 4th 5th striingers.

Agree on this one, he should remain as a BU because he has proven he can do it,unless his style no longer fits with the new staff.

I'm looking for 6 wins,7 would be nice, but a stretch. I suppose it's possible. At least now we have some damn WR's in here

Well we shall see about the WRs bud.

6th rounder for a guy who appeared in 23 games, starting in 20 of them. Minshew threw for 5,530 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. cost you under a mil for two years.

Let’s be honest your likely not finding a player better then a Minshew in round 6 it was a good trade for a guy that can start and play at a good level if needed.

My guess is his work ethic and practice habits which have come into question since last year. He also started to disappear when teams keyed in on him after his few breakout games.

Fulgham could just be a bad practice player lots of guys like that and will show up on game day never know.

LOL welp, they have the talent, just lack the experience and why i wanted them to play the last game

The cuts have started: #Eagles have cut TE Cary Angeline, DE JaQuan Bailey, RB Elijah Holyfield, WR Marken Michel, and LB Rashad Smith

"The Eagles came into Sunday with 80 players on their roster, so they’re now down to 75. (They technically have 76 play but Matt Leo has an international exemption; they’ll need to release him too.)”

Soooo 23 player to go until we have are 53(counting Leo)
