IMHO Ward has earned his spot.

I agree for now at least, but his position is in the slot.  When they run 12 personnel, he definitely won't be on the field.  I am hoping they run this even more than last year if Reagor is the real deal and Desean can stay healthy.  With those 2 pulling safeties deep, Ertz and/or Goedert will be wide open underneath every time.

Wow Dillard apparently done for the season???? So JP is back at LT

So Pryor back at RG....OL depth looking thin hope some of these youngster are ready to step up

LT-JP LG-Semaulo C-Kelce RG-Pryor RT- Lane

backup T- Driscoll/Malaita

Backup G- Herbig????

For those that wanted Mailata to put up or get gone should get that chance think it will tell a ton of what we think of him depending what we do at T moving forward.

My guess is that Mailata will backup both tackle spots. He was playing both today in practice.

Driscoll was really talked up early, but has cooled off as of late. The fact that Pryor was taking reps at RT in front of him isn't a great sign.

We will see Saturday when they go back to practice. My guess is that, if Lane is still out, then Mailata will be at RT.

I only listed Driscoll because I think he will make the roster so will be here but agree that Mailata is as of now the top backup T

I don’t see Pryor getting the reps over Driscoll as a bad sign really I think we wanted Pryor to be our top backup OL similar to how Big V was.

I think if Driscoll had played better, he would have been the top backup at RT, since I don't think Pryor is a very good option at T. But my guess is that they don't feel he is ready. Both he and Tega haven't really moved up the depth chart, which I think would have happened had they shown more.

As far as Mailata, if he can play at the same level as he did during preseason last year, he will give us the same level of pass protection as Big V (which, admittedly, wasn't great) with the advantage of being a much better run blocker. So I am not really worried about the possibility of him playing. He has struggled to stay healthy, which isn't ideal. But I do think he will vastly benefit from playing in empty stadiums if he has to enter a game, as the lack of crowd noise should make it easier for him, and somewhat ratchet down the pressure.

My thought is different to me our backup spots are so much he is top backup for this spot and this guy here we do our backup OL as who is the best and play most positions..... Look at the last view years with Big V he was our top backup essentially he came and regardless of who got hurt play T and G for us.

I seen Pryor as that 6th man regardless he was going to be the top backup first man to come in. Now he will start. Mailata should be the top T backup no clue what we do at G Herbig/Opeta I guess

He's more than earned his spot. But I am not sure how much playing time he will get unless JJAW or Reagor struggles. Wentz loves throwing to him and he catches everything, so he's clearly not going to hurt the team. But the other guys have a higher ceiling.

If Wentz likes Ward, then let him play. Jjaw will now have to EARN his spot.I'm playing the guys Wentz likes best

It would hurt us more then another team they don’t end up picking up the full 15.4 mil... if I’m reading the over the cap numbers right since it is post June 1st dead money would only be around 5.5m if we traded him and save us nearly 10mil.

So not a cap expert or anything but believe that means whatever team trades for him would get him for only 10m

Alshon starts over Jjaw. Please(when he returns).First Jjaw is cheap on a rook contract.2nd,he hasn't shown me he is better than Alshon(or ward for that matter) I don't see Alshon going anywhere this season

Gonna SUCK with no fans.No real pressure/emotions or anything. No pressure, means you need pressure, so you know to learn how to deal/cope with it.So that experience is pitifully gone for the newbies.I hope no cardboard fights break out in the stands(maybe a fire or 2 lol)

Down two starting Oline already. Alshon expected to miss a bunch of games still rehabbing. Perkins out for the year.Barnett’s start to the season in question. Hargrave too. Not sure I can hardly include Sidney in all this. Rough offseason.

My thoughts are they try and rotate and get good looks at roster bubble types. So I think you put the guy in that position and see how he can handle it. So I’m not basing but so much on that a certain player is getting some first team reps today.

Might have to consider Pryor at T and Driscoll at G. Dillard going down has me thinking Opeta is next man up to make the roster. I believe Herbig to be just ahead of him as already making the team.

More Oline thoughts: Peters isn’t going to make it through this season. So do you move Lane to LT with better hopes of replacing a RT with what he have? Just noway of knowing if Mailata can play Left or Right. Driscoll and Prince are the same. Just impossible for us to know what they can do yet. But Pryor I think we have a better idea about. I don’t see him at LT. RT would be his side. Probably could play both G spots. And the obvious situation of if Lane got injured.

Peters played 13 of 17 games last season.

How many younger tackles played fewer?

He’s started and made it through to finish 32 out of his last 54 games.....and now he’s 38 years old.

And still a top 10 NFL tackle.

Right now bringing him in looks like a genius move.

So if If JJaw Ward Reagor DJax etc are out there lighting it up you would want to ruin that to put Alshon back in the line up???? Idk I just wouldnt do it.... It’s a huge IF but still possible don’t have to worry bout it for awhile so we good

I think this would be a great problem to have. But one thing I would note is that since the team has oline issues, a receiver that can get open quickly like Alshon has a lot of value. He was pretty key for us when we had Vaitai at left tackle.

Was reading a bit about biceps tears, shoulder injuries being making one more susceptible to them. Wonder if he tried to come back too soon or the med staff was inept again? Either way it's a 6 mo recovery. Would like to see Howie come up w/ a trade w/o hurting the team - we have some bait.

Could definitely move a guy for an OL someone like Jones or Douglas...Alshon or another WR could be a chip

First,I seriously doubt Jjaw is gonna suddenly "light it up".He has a LONG way to go to be as good as Alshon. But if he happens to be,then we know we have Alshons spot covered next year. And Jjaw can get a few snaps in.I will also doubt any team would pay enough money to warrant us moving on

Here we go again with injuries.it's getting ridiculous
