Eagles could look to place Taylor on IR as well not sure what’s going on with his injury but frees up an extra spot.
Jackson should be headed to IR that is at least 1 free spot.

Also have the #6 waiver claim so definitely will be claiming people. Roster definitely far from set

Howie Roseman emphasized that Eagles don’t view it as who they can keep on the 53-man roster — it’s who they can keep on the 70-man roster (53 + 16 practice squad + Matt Leo as an international player). So a big part of the roster math is about those factors.

Toth over Opeta….does that signal a presumed Dillard move?

This does make a ton of sense especially since the PS restriction are gone right and they still have the two player call up???

The goal should be to find a way to keep as many players as possible you like and some guys are unlikely to be taken ie Rodgers and Howard

I think Opeta just lost out to the depth of our interior…. I mean starters are Semulo, Kelce, Brooks

Backups you have Dickerson/Herbig both can play all 3 spots plus Driscoll who can play T/G

Toth would seem to just add more versatility as a T/G as well. But Dilllard could still be moved as well

They finally officially named Hurts the starter lol

My opinion was Toth sucks and Opeta was looking to grow into a serviceable backup G.

JJ sound like he got the edge over Fulgham and Hightower due to his STs play

Keeping Toth I’d presume means he’s the best backup option at LT if Dillardis moved….making him more important.

I’d prefer both to have gotten cut Opeta just to much depth and Toth is meh not a fan of keeping 10 OL

I was thinking the similarly

More not shocking news Siri says that Minshew is QB 3 for now.

Still wouldn’t be shocked if we are looking for a trade partner for Flacco(not saying we can make it happen just wouldn’t shock me)

Mailata was named the starting LT again nothing shocking but is official now

Head coach Nick Sirianni names Jordan Mailata the starter at LT, says that both Mailata and Andre Dillard had "great" summers and that Dillard was "phenomenal" in the preseason finale and in the joint practices with the Jets.

Cannot say I like the final cuts. I don't like the idea of the fewer RB's and WR's. I think it' s a mistake they will regret

Good chance some guys come back plus waiver pickups… We should have at least 1 roster spot for sure freeing up with Jackson going to IR.

As Howie Roseman noted in his presser, the #Eagles can't put anyone on IR with the possibility of a return until 4 p.m. tomorrow. The NFL makes waiver claims at noon, so that means the Eagles will need to cut players who aren't injured to swap out waiver wire additions.
For some of bottom-of-roster decisions, Eagles likely weighed the risk of exposing rookies (there are 9 rookies, 8 draft picks) to the waiver wire vs. cutting vested veterans who they can potentially re-sign. J. Howard, R. Rodgers, A. Adams, L. Clark, H. Ridgeway are examples.

Well I hope they sign AGG

Besides some roster move likely to happen with waivers and stuff tomorrow also have a 16 man PS roster to fill out.

I DON'T like only having 3 RB's dressing for game day.If 2 get hurt the same game thats a fairly automatic loss and I thought this staff was smarter than that. Same BS was in Indy when they had to rely on Himes to carry the load.I don;t like it and I will state that now

WTF do we need with so many "average" LB's?

Think Taylor might go IR leaving us with 6 guys also freeing up another spot for different player.

PS rules so in theory the Eagles could bring Howard to PS(or another RB) and call them up on game days. Same for other positions.

Goal is to get the best 70 players possible

Except you can't call them up when you are in the game. I just don't like this exposure/risk we're taking saying there is no way 2 RB's get hurt the same game, because it CAN happen. Same with the shorter WR list

You can call up two players a game. So again we could go into game days calling PS RB up on active roster so we still have 4 guys for game days just an option.

Plus this is jus the initial 53 this roster will change by the end of tomorrow after waivers and IRs go through

Only dressing three anyway. Two guys getting hurt at one position is always a blow. Just have to hope if that’s the case it’s far enough into the game that our third guy can carry the load.

yes but you must do it 90 minutes BEFORE the game starts. SO say Sanders and Scott both get hurt. That leaves you ONE RB the remainder of that game and now that becomes a tougher game to win
