He’s started and made it through to finish 32 out of his last 54 games.....and now he’s 38 years old.

We could spell him some and why once again I bring up the "right side" running game.We could rest him on those plays. We hot him as a G because we felt it would extend his career and he could get through the year there. Now we are back to the same prob we had.The Dillard pick now looks like a bad move(MS2 anyone?)

I think this would be a great problem to have. But one thing I would note is that since the team has oline issues, a receiver that can get open quickly like Alshon has a lot of value. He was pretty key for us when we had Vaitai at left tackle.

We also need to remember Alshon was playing hurt before he went out totally.Even at 80% he was better than Jjaw and since we are paying Alshon,I'd like to get some value out of him. These young guys are just gonna have to wait their turn(cept for Reagor).I would like to have the option of losing Alshon next year.Killins is also working on WR skills. We could see alot of shuffling around, which is fine for me,make the D's adjust,or if yoiu find a combo that works that particular game, then you so there

Congrads on my brand new torn ACL! Spinal fusion 4 yrs ago, 18 mos plantar fasciitis, then arch reconstruction I'm still recouping from, now this ****!

Going for "a drink" ;)

First,I seriously doubt Jjaw is gonna suddenly "light it up".He has a LONG way to go to be as good as Alshon. But if he happens to be,then we know we have Alshons spot covered next year. And Jjaw can get a few snaps in.I will also doubt any team would pay enough money to warrant us moving on

Here we go again with injuries.it's getting ridiculous

Your to focused on just JJaw I’m not I’m looking more at the unit and if the unit as a whole is dominant why mess it up to bring in Alshon. On top of that if the youngster are producing why stop the growth to a player we likely are Not keeping.

To me it is a no rush situation....We have time to let are youngster play see what they can do Alshon isn’t going to be ready to start the year. If they at producing then yes I’m moving alshon for really whatever. If they struggle then when Alshon is back we hang on to him.

That would be my course of action with him at least

Because you spent Millions on Alshon? And he was performing fine, even through injury? How the hell do you know who is "the dominant unit" in training camp? 🤣  It's PRACTICE and I don't care who wins August

Maybe you can move Alshon for a box of Twinkies, but noones going to invest heavily(we already have),so keep dreaming that "we will get something for him" As I recall Jjaw was also a "star" last year in camp, but he got schooled when the real games came,so he may HAVE to start the year, but unless he totally blows everyone away with his new found skills that were apparently all missing last season,Alshon starts

BTW,Hightower could even displace Jjaw as our "block out WR" This skill was why we drafted Jjaw,he didn;t show that skill,so we picked up Hightower.Who IMO is raw like Jjaw was last year, but it's entirely possible he boots Jjaw off the roster

I'll stick with my outlook on the current state of the game, which isn't about RB, TE or WR, but rather weapons at different levels. The only diff is pay at the position. I don't care who catches or runs the ball, but where the weapons are best. Sure, we need the field stretchers to spread the D. RIght now I'm looking at the OL. Down field usually means a longer protection time. Wentz has supposedly gotten better at taking what the D gives him. That's nice on paper, but given an iffy OL he'll have to be quicker recognizing what the D is doin and getting the ball out fast, meaning short/med yd weapons have to be sharp.

Didn’t say they were going to invest heavily for Alshon said we could move alshon.... Also im not focused on camp studs as I said Alshon isn’t going to start the year we have time to see if guys can produce.

And again your still to focused on JUST JJAW he is only 1 of the other young WRs we have Hightower could step up, Watkins, Reagor any of them could step up.... And I’m not even saying it will happen but it could. Hence my wait and see approach to the situation. If the youngster are producing and growing together im not ruining it just to put Alshon back in the line up I’ll trade him for a 5th

Liked a drill I saw w/ the "weapon" stutter stepping down the line, go around a pilon and the ball was there almost immediately. Takes quick reaction and for the most part looked we were pretty good.

Lmao you don’t even make sense with this comment when did i ever say anything about dominating in practice???? Never said it.... I said if they are producing(that means regular season) your hilarious picking up whatever you want from my comments to fit your argument that I never said.

In total what I've seen of Alshon is promise. Yes he's had his good games/plays, but in total nothing amazing, not worth the salary. Hope he doesn't go down as someone we paid for his performance on past teams. He'll have to earn his stay in the 2nd half of the season. I hope to see enough guys step up to where either Alshon steps up or we just move on. We shouldn't pay for what could be or what was yrs ago. Don'e get me wrong, I like Alshon, don't feel we've gotten the bang for the bucks. Not that he doesn't give his best, his body hasn't.

Why I’m saying we don’t have to rush anything we have time. We can see what the youngsters can do in actual games. If they are not getting it done we still have alshon... If they are doing well we can move alshon save around 10m.

No rush, but I do include Alshon in my trade bait - you never know.

Deb needs the laptop, mine's fubar

If he just made that catch we'd think.

Of course it makes sense, the fact it may not to you doesn't bother me. OK,so at what point does someone produce(or as you put it "DOMINATE") enough that you keep your million dollar investment riding pine????? You must have a figure in mind and he would have to be so convincing in the 2-3 weeks we wait for Alshon's return, that we just tell Alshon "well you're not playing this year".This would be similar to say sitting Djax, because you know he didn't play last year and Ward looked ok. Please.Maybe we can get something for Djax too.Great idea to pay millions for a WR and trade him for a 5th 🤣

Well we already made the comittment.I do agree to date we have not gotten the value we wanted.I don't see us keeping him after this season, but the money is invested,so you play the guy.maybe he gets hurt.nothing wrong with getting guys ready to step in(thats we drafted them).but as long as Alshon has a pulse,I'm gonna milk him because as you stated "he owes us".Last year he played hurt,so the hope is he returns to his '17 form.In either case I'm playing the guy I am paying until he can't play.We know he won't start the season, but when he's ready he's is playing if I am the coach. Reagor pretty much HAS to start. So far,he looks good enough to do it opposite Djax. So,the question is who goes slot when Alshon returns? I would like to see various formations moving all the WR's(sans Djax) in and out to keep defenses dancing/off balance depending who we play

Off topic - just got done watching the 7th ( 6th ) rd tko of Sonny Liston by Ali. How the hell did Ali survive not just Liston's salted gloves but the mob? Was a bigger mob telling the locals to lay down?

He isn’t riding pine for me I’m trading him READ!!!!!! My comments

And saving 10m in the process

And no not similar at all to your Djax comparison.... Again making things up to fit your argument... What would work is if Djax isn’t producing but Reagor is would you keep Djax our there paying him 10m just because he is the million $ investment or put the producing player on the field??? And in that situation yup I’d try and trade Djax

First, you are assuming he "doesn't have it" anymore.Secondly, you are assuming some rook(or Ward explodes into a #1 WR.Thirdly you assume there is a team willing to take an aging WR off our hands, who can't make our starting team for 10 mil. GL with that lol. Too funny

Not assuming anything again making things up for your argument lmao
