Jimmy K most likely mockingly saying Sweat has 14 sacks on the day(estimating) not confirming that number but seen multiple reporters now saying he has had numerous sacks on both Ts today(most coming up against Pryor at LT)

Sometimes I just don't get this team. There is nothing about Pryor that would suggest he's a legit option at LT. It's like when they put Douglas on fast receivers, and then are surprised when he gets beat deep over and over again.

If Sweat can beat Pryor off the edge on one snap, chance are he's going to be able to do it on every snap.

Makes perfect sense to try Pryor at LT it’s not working so next practice your give the next guy a look. What practice is for. If none of these guys show anything then we likely cave to JP and give him his pay increase

But in all fairness Sweat seems like he is destroying everyone who he has lined up on that just unfortunately has been mostly Pryor

It is a positive sign that Sweat has been playing well. He was the top HS player in the country before he got hurt, and was misused at FSU, so it's not like he doesn't have talent. But Pryor is just too slow to be a left tackle. I would have much rather seen Mailata and Driscoll getting reps there, as both those guys are more athletic.

The one good thing is that it is pretty easy to help out a tackle who gets beat consistently by speed, but it also limits the offense. Having a big WR like JJAW and two tight ends, plus bigger RBs, makes it easy to help out. So I am not too concerned. But this would all be solved by moving Peters, which I guess has to be in the conversation now.

On a side note, this guy was one of the four UDFAs I really like, along with Riley, Williams and Togiai.

The Peters issue is now money related... I’m sure that was all the coaches first thought but JP said no if you want me to play T you have to pay me starting T money...Gets murky now on what we do

And Mailata has question on technique and core strength can he handle the bull rush??? And Driscoll has short arms which tends to be a real concern for Ts.... All the guys had some serious ??? About playing the LT position. Best move for the Eagles right now is to take a look at all 3

Hopefully they will find some common ground. Peters may want to play longer than this year, which at this point may not be a bad idea considering all our tackles have struggled. So the more money demand may be a smokescreen for an additional year or two on his contract.

To the credit of Pryor the only guy I heard feasting on him today was Sweat who apparently again was feasting on our entire OL today.

I’d pass can’t trust JP at this stage we could cave pay him his starting LT money which what 10+m a year probably... With his injury issues and missing games then what???? We end up in the same situation with less cap space

We will see how things shake out. Apparently from what I have read Mailata only had one really bad rep today (that could be wrong, but the beat writers tend to report his every misstep, and I could find only one play that was highlighted) and he was mostly on the right side, which is his weaker one. So maybe he can hold things down at left tackle.

It is tough to judge the offense because they were playing with backups at both tackle spots, TE, RB and QB, and WR after Reagor got hurt. But Sudfeld and Hurts both had really good days, so it wasn't a complete disaster. We will be somewhat in the dark for the next two weeks, so hopefully they will get things ironed out. My gut feeling is that, one way or another, JP ends up at tackle, Pryor at guard and Mailata at swing tackle.

Some other thoughts from the last practice we will hear about until the season opener.

Hightower is looking like a steal. I have a feeling he gets on the field week 1 with Reagor out.

Craig James and Rasul Douglas seem to have earned CB spots. We will see what happens with them. Maddox didn't have a great day, but his job is probably safe.

There seem to be no issues at LB for now.

Toohill is consistently making plays. He is a Conor Barwin clone, so I think he will make the roster. It will be interesting to see if he or Ostman gets more playing time. From what the beat writers have said, Shareef Miller hasn't been bad, but he's been badly outplayed.

Killins was the KR with Reagor out. I can't see them giving a roster spot to a guy just to return kicks, but who knows.

Hurts had an up and down day but is certainly looking worth the pick. Sudfeld has played really well and it seems like he will at least net the team a decent comp pick. He also might get traded this year if a team struggles at QB.

Reagor’s hurt shoulder is expected to keep him out a month

Still two weeks before the season...Not sure I’d call any side Mailata weak or strong side most of his reps that I can recall have been on the right side over last 2 years.

Im all for giving Mailata his chance to try and lock down the LT spot just like i would give Driscoll a look also may the best man win

So our Ts did terrible today Pryor seemed to have been the worst but from my readings none were great.

Sweat had a monster day feasting on our entire OL

Reagor got injured likely to miss 3-4 weeks

Hightower is looking like a stud and could find a niche in this O very early in the season(not paying to much camp hype though has to be able to produce in a game)

Sounds as though our back up QBs are doing pretty well have to give Suds even more of a. I’d for making plays behind what seemed like a terrible OL all day.

JJaw seems to be making some plays good to hear taking it with a grain of salt since he had a monster camp last year and we all know what he did but hopefully some of this success will transfer into actual game fingers crossed 🤞

Douglas making plays, James making plays, Robey-Coleman has been a making play all camp. Honestly might be time to cut out loses on Jones and try and get anything for him could be the best for both sides

Mailata has told reporters that he feels more comfortable on the left than the right. So I think him being serviceable on the right is a decent sign. I have no idea why the team put Pryor out there today, but at least they know now he isn't an option at tackle.

I am hoping that they let Mailata concentrate on the left side, Driscoll focus on the right and Pryor focus on guard. My guess is that regardless of what happens with Peters, we will need someone to play each of those positions this year. And bouncing guys around from spot to spot doesn't seem to be working.

Like I just finished saying before this happened in practice...Pryor isn’t a fit at LT. Probably LG, RG...even RT....but never seemed like he would be good at LT.

I have James over Jones...and Douglas at this point. And he’s a stud ST.

I have LeBlanc overJones and Douglas also.

I do think Sweat is ready to be unleashed this season. Thought he had a good season last year.

Derwin James got hurt...that sucks

Said soft tissue injury for Wentz day to day it is just precautionary so he will be ready for the season... Means hurts/Sudd should get plenty of reps

SO,we're back to soft tissue issues again?(Same as it ever was) How can we field a pro team,if we can't make it through practices uninjured? Pathetic

What I'm getting from all the line musical chair BS, is Dillard is a WASH and a wasted #1 pick.sounding more and more like an MS 2.1

To add my two cents to the discussion: Ideally when Alshon is healthy and able to play you use him. You want him to show enough to become valuable trade bait. So I’d probably try to force feed him a bit for a week or two to show he still has it to the rest of the league.

LOL welp,if he's playing well you still want to trade him? I mean isn't the object to get WR's on the field that can play? We know he won't be an Eagle after this season, and if he plays well THROUGH the season, maybe he gets a nice shot at another team because A) He can still play and B) he made it through the season c)we can offer him a cheap BU contract  You know we lost WR's before and had no answer. The PS guys played ok(well Ward did),but really you want to put yourself in the position again of losing 2 WR's and having noone else to play? Thats the position you are putting yourself in if you trade Alshon. Alshon stays all year as long as he can play unless you are dead set on getting a 5th round question mark.Makes no sense to me

IDK,it's a damn mess(again).I would say start JP at LT and spell him with Mailata ,and on those plays call a QB roll right or pitch out (just in case lol).Dillard is beginning to piss me off.At least using this approach we are "set at LT" and now can work on the RG spot.We need to make this call NOW with 2 left to go.It just makes the equation easier to work with
