At any rate doesn't matter what others do or can't,what matter is Hurts. If he can't toss the long ball(in my estimation that is a min of 50 yards in the air-preferably 55) we are wasting our WR's on him-WORD. I still want Olave(OSU) in the next draft. I am from Akron,Ohio. OSU played Akron, the score was 59-7 OSU but Akron scored first lmao. I don't know why they schedule these stupid over matched lopsided games.it's a waste of TV time. When I went to Akron U,our HS could beat them

He can throw it 51-52.... a couple throws I payed attention really close, the one to DeSean last year and there was one this year that was in that range...  the issue is, in 201 50 yards in the air isn't good enough in the NFL... unless you release it quickly.  He can't look around , move a little and then heave it 51 yards. We are already seeing it come up short multiple times.   The quick ball ... that's considered a deep pass, that goes like 40-45 yards, I think he throws that pretty well.

But besides the deep throws.  The throws where he rolls left.  Balls he needs to fire in traffic. 25- 30 yards downfield.  Those are tough for him.   Really anything where the timing is off that is a 3rd or 4th read downfield, they will be tough for him.   He needs to keep the offense on time.   He's young,he could end up doing it really well, I'm just seeing it's going to be tough for him without the stronger arm.  Like the average arm of a 2021 NFL QB.

They get away with smoking weed.

Now if you are a dumba.. and try to bribe yourself out of it that’s another story.

That said, did he finally get tested after? Maybe the weed is a cover for ped?

Never thought Sanders was going to get a 2nd contract here.   He runs nice when there is a hole, which most RBs could run through.  Doesn't offer much in terms of carrying the workload, situational football, hands,  blocking... although he did have one nice block vs SF.    Good committee RB, just don't see them spending the money on him.  But who knows.  A lot of young guys here including Sanders,we'll see.   But I like this Gainwell kid.

I agree Joe. RB's have such a short career span that offering a high second contract can only hurt your team. Gurley for Rams. Elliott for Cowboys. BArkley for the Giants. Dallas has  Pollard who is better than Elliott now. I am not sayin Elliott is not effective, just that he is not worth the cap hit. There are exceptions, but most RB's last around 6 years....

How early are you going in the stadium?   Prior to warm-up?    In gym class did you stretch prior to warm-ups?

We were in the Stadium when players were still in their gym shorts.....

Weird season for sure. 9ers had zero defense in the first 1/2 and zero offense too. 2nd 1/2 GB disappeared and was only saved by a last min FG. Play 30 lol

Heard on the radio that only 7 teams have given up less than average of 20 points per game. That has never happened before. Eagles are at 11.5.... KC is over 30. TB is around 29.....

If the Eagles can somehow keep the Dallas WR's under 3 scores and Prescott under 300 yards passing, this would be one heck of a feat. I mean we should extend Gannon on the spot.

Very well stated Joe and I agree 100%. This is his season to prove it, and he needs to do what you said convincingly and consistently. He is still kind of a rook in a way.Hard to count last years 4 plays a game. So let's see if the focus and chemistry kicks in. The players like him, that's a plus.but that needs to transform into physical chemistry and timing as you said. Right now,in my view the WR's are outpacing his learning.I was pointing out and questioning why we got flat out speed burners if he can't hit the "long ball"(We all have our own idea of a long ball. Mine is 50 yards min,but as others pointed out,I forgot about "velocity". That is another "touch" A QB must learn. I think this game against our arch rival in a hostile stadium will really make him grow up. You know the absolute worst criticism comes when we play Dullaz. I'm hoping that Hurts can grow into throwing it farther and what I hope more than that is that he was not selected for his Houdini ability alone. Having a running QB is great, but then you should lock onto more possession type WR's(I think Jjaw was drafted for this). Smith and Reagor can flat out fly, but if we can't hit them that is a waste of talent. If the WR's keep progressing, then I believe we may need to look at a QB with a bigger arm. Not against Hurts it just seems the team we constructed around him, isn't a perfect fit. If Hurts cannot throw lasers then I hope the WR's can cover and learn shorter routes for him. That will help the team, but does not excuse the fact the QB needs a bigger arm. We shall see how all this plays out,but Joe that was a very good explanation

IDK but this isn't a great sign here(the sign that says jail entrance) lol

Welp, at the rate we use Sanders, his career should approach Bradys' lol. I'm glad we got Gains. The RB class next year is weaker than last draft. ,WR's are weak also and a weak draft in general. A few nice CB's and OL. We'll see if any RB's emerge, but I don't see a Zeke,Bark or Gurley in this draft anywhere. Hard to know in alot of these early college games. I mean OSU played Akron, how much can you learn from beating up a team that shouldn't be there. 59-7 and Akron scored first, so what are you going to do tout your "comeback ability?" 🤣

We need to get in their backfield. Sacks are not mandatory, but we need to get there to disrupt. If we can do that I think we'll be right there at the end. I think we can get through their O line on the ground, but not their LB's. If we do a slow grind and get 4 yards, that's fine with me. We need a guy like Howard dressed if we want to wear out their O line and LB's. 3 "finesse" RB's aren't going to do that, we need that banger.I will be interested to see the plays call at the GL If we get into that position. I'm sure the LBS would be holding the edges spying Hurts. Sanders has always done well against Dullaz(when we used him),but this is a new LB group

Miles Sanders, nicknamed "Boobie Miles,” is an American football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League .     Knock 'em out Boobie 🤣(I wasn't even aware of this nickname)

You guys are coming off sounding a bit like the media and partial fans….put everything on the QB. I’m looking and judging our HC more. Nothing amazing about our offense so far. Hurts is delivering his part mostly from I’m seeing.

You guys sleeping on Boobie. Dude is really really good weapon. He’s going to show you. He doesn’t fit in with traditional RBs that were overused in college. He’s just getting started. Mark it down who called it.

Patrick Mahomes don’t grow on trees. I’d say Hurts looks better than any of the rookies this year.

Ham, I don't really think there is any great QB in this year's college draft. That means we need Hurts to improve. He does not need to play like a Rodgers or Mahomes. He just needs to show he can control the offense and not make mental errors we see from people like Winston. If he can do that we should be OK. At least for another year of growth. Maybe we will see that he can be close to a Brees type QB. Not a strong arm, but an accurate one who anticipates his throws...?

Good news is that we may have 3 first round picks to draft players that can start. Not sure it matters where at this point. I think we need help in allot of areas so we should hit on a couple by default...

Isn't that the job he took???? He is the team general. Teams win or lose on their QB play

OH you call everything under the sun lol. SO which game exactly is he going to go off???(we're still waiting). Maybe you are right, but you won;t ever be right using him 14 carries a game

That's a low bar. Technically he got some game time in last year, so he's not a rook, but "inexperienced". I suspect Foles may get the start this week in Chicago. The NFL welcomed Fields by making him eat dirt

This is his 3rd year. Yes he probably has one decent contract for 3-4 years for the right price. Not worth more than 10 mil per IMO. Aaron Jones is making 12 mil per year, but is putting up much better numbers than Sanders...

The is Sanders "break out year". So far I am not seeing it. But WHEN Sanders has a big game, even if it's week 14 Ham called it!!!!!

Sure Coaches don’t matter

Execution matters and I'm sure an NFL coach is not going to punt on 2nd down. IDC if you run 8 plays.If you can execute them you don't need any others
