IDK,it seems to me the skills are there, but the drive isn't.It's like he finds excuses NOT to play and we don;t need that BS.Toe stub? Oh yeah out for 7 weeks lol 🙄

Didn’t he tear his entire bicep seems pretty serious especially for a OL... Also have to take into account what the staff will and won’t let guys play through on any minor injuries especially during practice....Not always the players call

Still wondering why Dillard came back so fast from a shoulder injury. After some research found out shoulder injuries make you very susceptible to biceps tears.

Won't happen but would be nice to see Sanders and Fournette

I have not really read or heard much about Killins... Could be tough to hand onto him right now I already see us having 4 RBs and 6 WRs(7 I’d/when Alshon returns)

RBs-Sanders/Scott/Clement/Holyfield

WRs- Djax/JJaw/Hightower/Watkins/Ward/ Reagor

PUP-Alshon

The one thing that could be working in Killins favor is the return experience will be interesting to see how the roster plays out

This could be an out there option and could definitely backfire but should we consider Lane at LT????

I mean I 100% think he can handle the job as long as he gets reps possible downside will he be as good on the left as he is on the right???

only reason I bring it up is always possible one of our backup guys Pryor/Mailata/Driscoll performs better at RT over LT.

Also LT side is the blind side for Wentz at least if we have a so-so RT he can most of the time see the rusher coming....

Would think that if nobody wanted to take Fournette on a minimum trade, he'd take a reasonable deal and mind your attitude. Some players just aren't reasonable and don't understand your reputation travels with you, esp if you're a pita

Believe the best LT option is JP, so pay him. Sure he'll likely get injured or need reps off, Dillard gets injured too and he was supposed to be the starter. JP's still better. The way Dillard's looked, we'll be better in the long run with JP coaching Dillard up for another yr - he's still not ready.

He is possibly the best option but paying him LT Money hmmmm hard to do what if he gets hurt which is pretty common then what???? We paid him he is hurt and we back were we started

It’s basically both said a calling each other bluffs and who is more desperate at this stage for JP....

JP could easily say cut me then we have a hole at RG and LT

Right, which would be fine with me.   But my mindset is the big picture.  1.  I am 50% that we even finish the season.   2.  I think a long shot for the Eagles to win a SB.  3. 50% Peters would be able to play both significant amount of snaps while finishing the season.     4.   Got a lot of young guys who could use reps.

With that, I would agree to let him walk if that is what he wants.   Personally, I think he wants to squeeze every penny he can out of the Eagles or his NFL career, I don't think other offers were out there.  I would call the bluff

He signed a contract.if he doesn't want to play LT for that money, then he plays RG(as planned) Maybe someone cuts a LOT(although rare) or possibly thats where a trade for Alshon could happen.Interesting stuff to see how it pans out.You could probably find a 1/2 way decent LT for 10 mil(trade for Alshon).Right now the ever whiny Dillard is our issue.I'm really SHOCKED because he looked good in college, but it seems he doesn't want to scuff his nails in the pros

From the article I just read regarding Dillard....

The head coach confirmed that Dillard was injured last week in practice, and will eventually end up on injured reserve. Pederson said it’s unfortunate because the second-year player had a really good offseason and was having a really good camp.

So with the fact that he suffered a season ending injury, why do you get the impression he just doesn't want to play?   Seems to me the dude was playing ok and got hurt????  You have inside info?

The other thing is you don't have to worry about breaking up the chemistry with Brooks this year.

Everything I’ve seen and read Douglas is by far our best backup CB... James might add extra value as the STer but purely CB play I got Douglas

I've always liked Rasul as well but he simply can't play one on one against a fast receiver. Ball hawk, willing tackler but one on one against somebody like DJax or Reagor is gonna be ugly.

But as a coach you have to realize these things why they have such things as matchups in the nfl most teams don’t have all blazers all there teams. Plus again Douglas to me is in the backup role.

all how you use players

You'll get no argument from me but Schwartz is the one that makes those decisions.

Why I don’t get the hate on solely the player sometimes it is the coaches fault....

SO,we're back to soft tissue issues again?(Same as it ever was) How can we field a pro team,if we can't make it through practices uninjured? Pathetic

I just don’t think they need Wentz being a part of the scrimmage practice. But it seems better to say holding him out because of a minor injury than....saying too scared for him to get hurt.

LOL welp,if he's playing well you still want to trade him? I mean isn't the object to get WR's on the field that can play? We know he won't be an Eagle after this season, and if he plays well THROUGH the season, maybe he gets a nice shot at another team because A) He can still play and B) he made it through the season c)we can offer him a cheap BU contract  You know we lost WR's before and had no answer. The PS guys played ok(well Ward did),but really you want to put yourself in the position again of losing 2 WR's and having noone else to play? Thats the position you are putting yourself in if you trade Alshon. Alshon stays all year as long as he can play unless you are dead set on getting a 5th round question mark.Makes no sense to me

It’s not about getting a fifth round question mark....it’s about money. We have none...he costs lots of it. Trading him is a key component to salary cap relief. Things could go all kinds of ways once Alshon comes back. I’d won’t him to look good on his return...so we can get the best return. At this point I think we would almost have to pay someone to take him. But what if during your scenario he’s looking good, the trade deadline passes and then he gets hurt again? Sadly a very likely scenario.

Right now I say ZERO.   After he plays a game and shows he will be able to actually get on the field for sure .... then we can probably get that late round pick, but right now I don't see us getting anything until teams know for sure he will play this year.   I think we would have traded him already if we would have had that offer.  Don't think it;s there.

My thinking as well

Oh my god....how crazy would our backfield be? Sanders and Fournette! That’s a dream tandem back there!

Douglas has been given opportunities. Every year he’s played meaningful snaps. Feels like we know what he can do in this system....and that’s not much. James fits the mold here better. I think he’s shown some potential in his limited opportunities.

Lane apparently has resisted the idea of moving, and he may not be very good on the left. So you are taking the best RT in the game and moving him, which is basically weakening two positions.

We survived with Vaitai being a crap LT because it was the only weak spot on the line, and they could scheme around it.

If you move Lane and he struggles, now you have two weak spots.

I think the oline will be ultimately be fine. People make a huge deal about LT, but it's not nearly as important as it used to be when qbs were mainly under center and passing plays were almost always deep drops. It's one reason that a lot of premium pass rushers now line up over the RT.

Lmao he hasn’t resisted switching he never needed to switch. There was no point in moving Lane over to LT mid-season when we had JP at LT over the years

Also Big V was not a terrible LT underrated guy no he isn’t Jason Peters and might never be a top T in the game but definitely was not terrible

Your assuming Lane will struggle at LT that the funny part the man played LT fine when he was given reps to play LT leading up to the weeks... The one bad game he had was us trying to switch him mid game vs the Lions. So not concerned with him falling off if he plays LT if he gets all the reps there.

As for why LT is still the most important position it’s still the blind side for 99% of QBs they can’t see the rusher coming like on the other side.  And most premier pass rushers are still REs lining up over the LT though teams are more willing to move guys around for the matchups.

So if you have the weak link at LT it’s a guarantee they taking advantage of it with the best pass rusher
