Eagles ignoring LBs in the draft and FA came back to bite us big time last night

Cowpies double teamed Cox and Hargrave every running play up the middle and the LBs couldn't plug the holes.

How do you hand the ball to your rbs 3 times for the entire game?

That should be the question that EVERY reporter asks Siri all week

Seen a tweet said we had 9.4% designed runs last night 4th lowest rate in the last 15 years

Being good at it and running it all game especially when in Dallas game they are sitting on the underneath stuff knowing it coming are different things… It’s fine that it’s the staple of our offense but until we find a way to make team respect us attacking them at all levels they are going to keep sitting on the underneath stuff.

Watching that Dallas game the CBs weren’t even backpedaling they had zero fear of us attacking them deep

I agree with the fact we can'tdo it all game long... but I just disagree as to the reason why we are doing it.   I think it's player limitations.  321 yards for the QB,playing to his strengths.  It is what it is.

Again my issue on the RPOs things that are Hurts strength is him holding the ball leading the OL down the field before he throws. And it’s been a pretty common penalty for us want to say it was called what 2-3 last night few times in the games before that.

If your Hurts and your going to pass you have to be decisive when you make that read.

Again... I get criticized for not being modern when I say I hate the RPO.   It's college gimmick stuff to me.   A couple times a game on short yardage maybe... otherwise it's gimmick for NFL.   But how do you take it away from Hurts?   Running is the best thing he does on a " tangible" level.  The second thing being the short quick passes.     The rest of his strengths are intangibles, that don't really help expand the playbook.

321 yards looks great, except when you add in the total rushing yards all game..... Then it looks terrible. Add in the INT's.....

How many of those 321 were in the 4th quarter when the Cowpies were laughing too hard to care.

Wentz changed the run calls to pass plays.   Lol.

Wentz wasn't playing QB last night

So in reality the Eagles O scores 7 points last night

The second TD came when the Cowpies no longer cared.

Sure blame Hurts. I’m not with you here. Looks like Siri is way out of his league. But he’ll train the receivers. Get some DBs for Gannon to train next year. Then get serious about the coaching.

You ask why we run the same plays alot? It's because we cannot execute the easy plays. How are you going to introduce more complex plays when you can't effectively run the simple ones?Ped had growing pains too,but Wentz was 1000 times the QB Hurts is and arguably this set of WR's we have is far better than Wentz had. I saw a few bonehead calls, but mostly it was lack of execution by Hurts. he looked like a HS QB

Siri is a rookie. Hurts is basically a rookie. All of his assistants are young. I get that. But there has to be some sort of plan. There has to be a back up if that plan doesn't work. All of this needs to be addressed and soon. Because the competition is getting better. Kc is probably licking their chops. Add to the fact they just lost and we are in for an old fashioned whopping...

The D just gave up first downs after first downs. No idea what you saw. Embarrassing.

LMAO what do you expect when we are back to 3 and outs???? maybe you can run a 5 mile marathon, but maybe you CANT run a 20 miler? Yeah. We're back to the same BS where the D is on the field far too long because we CANNOT MOVE THE CHAINS. I thought you were smart enough to know this

Minshew not the long term answer, but IMO we have as decent a shot as ANY other team in NFCE for Div. title with him at QB.

Noone said he was. From what I saw last night there was ZERO growth from Hurts. Same BS mistakes, same indecision or same BAD decisions. Quez caught that pass that clearly should NOT have been thrown, and there were alot more like that one. I see ZERO progress on going through his reads. It's 1 read and run and it's very predictable. Siri is a rook,I get that, but they/we cannot execute simple plays. If Hurts can only do 1 read and run, defenses will be all over that as it's as vanilla and predictable as it gets. In the term RPO, I guess than means no hand offs to the RB. IDK if Sanders is a stud or not because we never use him. This team is now built for a drop back pocket passer(like Wentz). The RPO looks like what high schools run and thats not going very far if you have a 1 read QB who won't hand the ball off(ball hog) and yeah this was a totally embarrassing display of inept football

Maybe we all are  missing the real issue. Lurie and Howie....... They put this team in the mess we are seeing. I am starting to think this will not get any better until both are gone. I doubt I will see this in my lifetime

Old age and trechery will beat youth and talent every time.

We've been saying that since AR left

Maybe before

So... jump ball to Watkins.  Dump off passes to guys who ran 20 plus yards and the bubble screens.    How many of those yards were due to great throwing?     Stats can be deceptive.   The stat that counts..... how many points did he put up.    That one is the only one that matters.

I posted it because it surprised me lol From my point it looked like he was at around 150 lol

The Brandon Graham injury is key.  He is underrated in his all around game. Now all these part time players have to play more.  That has been my issue that you all have been criticizing my negative outlook for the future.  We are seeing what the lines look like without Brooks and Graham... the glimpse of the future.  You have Kelce, Lane and Cox that aren't going to be around forever either.

The good news is we should to see Dickerson, Herbig play and develop now.   Much better being on the field than watching.    Sweat... we may have jumped the gun on that contract being his part time #s looked good. We'll see how he handles more snaps and if he was worth the $$.  But still need a dude on the other side.

The punter is a stud, and our WR group is young and decent.  Eventually you put a true #1 with that group and it can go to the next level really quickly.  Still 14 games of development ahead.

Welp this is all true here, but at what point do the players give up on Hurts? We know they liked him in pre and I guess he is a likable guy,but I see no progress from when he was inserted as a "gimmick" last year. Only now the "gimmick" is full time. No point in drafting barn burner WR's to catch 3 yard dink passes. it's a waste of THEIR talent. Everyone saying how great out O line is. Doesn't matter if the QB holds the ball for 6 seconds, you're going to look like trash. They are opening NO holes for a RB. The RPO means they are constantly in PASS PRO(because you know that's an option EVERY PLAY). I don't see how you can succeed doing this. It's HS concept, not even college and thats what we looked like a HS team(go watch a few and you will see the same plays)

Next 8 games:

Chiefs - Loss

Panthers - Most likely loss- if they have McCaffrey

Bucs- Loss

Raiders - Loss

Loins - Win probably

Chargers - Loss

Broncos - ??

Saints - Loss

So we are looking at most likely 2-9 - 3-8 record after our next 8 games..... Does not look good for our season. Who said we were going to win 8-9 games?

Panthers- LOSS even without Caff(Chubba Hubbard should do enough). Darnold is getting better with this team every week. Now I believe they have found their future TE in Tommy Tremble. I was fairly shocked we didn't see more deep balls from Dak,but no need to,we couldn't stop Zeke,Pollard or anyone else. They even gashed us with former Eagle Clement(yeah lets rub salt into this wound). I saw ONE(and only one) decent series all game long from us. I'm not real sure we beat Detroit either, not if we play like we just played. Swift will run amok all night

Apparently RPO in our case means ONLY the QB RUNS. I hope we don't EVER pay any RB's with this BS offensive structure because nobody is worth 8.25 an hour even. Just keep drafting rooks,no stud needed. SO tell me again how many TD's does Sanders have through week 3?????

Yeah before I read this I said the same thing,it's a GIMMICK offense that cannot execute

Eagles set a record.

Most penalties through the first 3 games

Lack of discipline=lack of leadership.

52-3 is not out of the question. If the spread is under 14 mortgage the house and put it all on KC. Hill/Kelce will run amok and their RB's will too. I suppose we are trying to imitate Mahomes with Hurts and it's failing miserably

We drafted some nice WR's(finally although I wanted JJ). Quez has turned into a great addition. We have nice TE's and Jackson looks to be ready to step in whenever. Mailiata was an outstanding value. This team was built for a Wentz type. It's like fitting a square peg into a round hole. Just ask yourself(when Siri was in indy how much different that team looked with Luck vs with brissett? ) Night and day and we chose NIGHT. This team is built for a drop back quick decision pocket passer(Flaaco is this) and we don't have one. Gains was a total steal in round 5,so it's hard for me to blame Howie. We have our share of fails like everyone else, but overall the last 2 drafts have nbeen pretty good IMO
