Colts rushing vs the titans. While it's not awesome,it's alot more balanced that the BS "rushing" we get. I don't see where Wentz rushed for 1 yard lol

And all those yards have led to him only outscoring Wentz and Colts in one week vs one of the worst defense in the entire NFL

We cannot do that as long as we run the RPO offense. We would need Siri to stop the RPO and go with actual plays calls EVERY play. AKA make Hurts a pocket passer

Maybe because they have a running game?

We run for more

The fans and press have to tear Siri apart to force him to realize what a great running team we should be

He’s the main LB Gannon is using. Best known for missing tackles. Supposedly good in coverage but we haven’t seen that either. He’s very good at missing tackles so at least Gannon is putting in position to do that well.

So I assume it wasn't the 3rd rounder from last year, but the free agent who you all got excited about.

Baltimore and the browns might be to high a bar but I don’t see why we couldn’t be the third best rushing team in the league. Seemed like the obvious plan going into the season. Where did Siri lose this?

Quoting the wrong person. No excitement for me.

I was hopeful Wilson could add that extra dimension being in pass coverage LB when that specifically came up. Seemed like our missing part of our LB crew.

Late first early 2nd not a huge difference… Best pick we could likely hope from the Colts is them still being in the playoff hunt so won’t sit Wentz but still end up missing the playoffs.

But even still two top 15 picks on the first and two top 15 picks in the 2nd is a ton of ammo to work with

Right a middle second rounder is a nice pick... but the first isn't going to happen.... barring a collapse from Tenn.

Not sure why everybody was so optimistic about it being a first. Seemed like most likely a second rounder all along. What can you do though? Nobody really wanted Wentz.

Wentz ran alot last year??? I figured he was too busy tossing picks

Hurts after like 3 games had more rush attempts than completions.  Remember he played like 4 games... and ran the ball probably over 50 times. Wouldn't you assume his runs actually count toward the average?

Can’t do it enough obviously. As much as people attack Hurts we’ve scored more than the juggernaut Colts with Wentz at the helm.

This is true... thank you Atlanta!

I believe if we start feeding the RBs we would rush for more yards per game than Dallas and even Tennessee

Lol

Mack is 3rd string, doesn't play much...lol.  hardly a fire sale... lol.

We are fifth in rushing yards now coming off a terrible rushing performance. Seems easily done.

"In one cited example from The Athletic, the Eagles responded to a double-digit deficit against the Green Bay Packers with a comeback 34-27 victory in the 2019 season. Philadelphia’s rushing attack paved the way, with Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders combining for 159 rushing yards and the game-deciding touchdown. The following Tuesday, Lurie questioned Pederson for running the ball too much.

It happened again weeks later. Dealing with extreme winds in Buffalo, the Eagles’ duo of Howard and Sanders combined for 170 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 31-13 victory. When Pederson met with Lurie and Roseman days later, he was questioned for not throwing the football more.”

I don’t understand how people think we will be a running team with Howie and Lurie in charge it isn’t going to happen.

Lmao 7 teams make the playoffs last time I checked your going to tell me week 13 Indy is in the playoff hunt they are going to pull Wentz to save that draft pick????

I get it 100% if Indy is eliminated of course they will pull Wentz keep the first but that only works if they are eliminated early enough to do so.

YAY at 1-2 with a bleak future this is about as impressive as you will find. Forget the penalties and picks-not relevant. If 55 yards a game is 5th,then we should end up in post season

Maybe we can play the Colts in the "tank bowl". I always though this should be. The teams vying for the 1 pick should face off in the "Toilet Bowl". The WINNER gets the 1 pick to avoid purposeful tanking 🙂 It could be played on SB Sunday as the "early" game lol

The play calling goes to the strength and avoiding the weaknesses of the players.    The QB running... and you have th read option.  You just mentioned the WRs being good at the bubble screen... and to be fair with Hurts, while I doubt his arm on the normal NFL throws, it's nice to see an Eagles QB get that ball out on the bubble screens early and on target. As good as guys like McNabb, Vick and Wentz were at the top of their games, all of them struggled to get the ball out quickly and accurately on a consistent basis for screen passes and short crossing routes. Hurts throws a nice smooth short pass.    So I can't really blame play calling when my eyes see it play towards the players strengths.  I do agree in general that the offense is limited though,  but more so players than play calling.    We will see how this develops.... or how the players develop.

I always like your insight. We don't always agree, but your points are always well thought out. I appreciate that.  The point you bring up here leads me to question, if it (offense) is that limited, it sounds like you might need new players? I think this roster is devoid of talent. I am pleasantly surprised with Hargrave. Cox is still the best player on the team. I do think Slay is a good CB, but doesnt appear to play hard on every play. Johnson, Goedert, Kelce are core players. Ertz just doesnt appear happy to be on this team…cant blame him. The WR group is average, but may develop. I know some here dont like Jeagor, but I see him as a quality #2 guy. Beyond those…I like Mailata, but he is not PROVEN. I like Sanders, but I like Gainwell for less money. So really three on defense and three on offense that are real quality starters. That is a group devoid of talent. So when the guy that touches the ball on every offensive play is LIMITED, you have LIMITED chance of success. And the other players are not good enough to overcome those limitations.
Might as well go for it on 4th down every time….jk…sort of. 😳

By the way, somebody here REALLY thought this group was going to win 10 games? Whoa! I still have them at 4…..Jets, Lions, Giants (once). I jjst hope they dont have any more prime time games. Last night was too embarrassing!
