If you're going to have a shootout, you need a gunslinger not a kid with a cap gun. Siri just got schooled and I hope he learned something

Siri is collateral damage in the fiasco that is the current Eagles.   At least it seems the WRs are doing some fundamentals much better with him as coach.    He's set up to fail though with this roster.  At least in the short term.

Everyone here, rightly so, is saying Hurts is a rookie.

Thy would you give a rookie QB unlimited audible freedom?

The last one had it, everyone loved that,  then all of a sudden " why is he changing things "    But this is where I disagree very strong with  GB, I think this offense is built for the current QB... plays that avoid the weak arm, plays that involve his running,  plays that involve easier reads/ decisions.   I also think it's for the younger WRs who are used to the coach being in control.  It's part of why I think Hurts fits better for this group ( along with the unsaid obvious) than the previous guy.   The 2017 team with all the veteran weapons,  was better suited for the QB being in control and constantly tweaking little things pre snap.

But yeah, they need to run the ball more. Especially with this QB.  The less he drops back to pass, not only the less he needs to use his arm, but also gets the defense less plays of seeing him run.  The more a running QB runs, the defense gets better prepared for it.   You could tell Dallas... his first opponent that played against him twice,  was very well prepared for his running.  Be curious to see the Saints and Washington handle that?

On Pro Football Talk they were suggesting that Lurie and Rosie are forcing the situation for Hurts to throw and prove himself more in that area to decide on trading for Watson or not. Not giving Hurts a season or two….but instead get it all out there before the trade deadline. So maybe Siri isn’t all to blame. He might just being puppeted by the FO.

He's not a rookie and who said I said it was unlimited?

RG4 lol. I'm sorry Lurie got a hold of "college offenses in the NFL for dummies" (Illustrated by Chip Kelly)

So, I am done with this. I don't like the RPO offense and I don't think Hurts is our QB

Didn't I say this before??? (I said Siri was,but maybe they are right) I really don't want Watson here either

Howie needs to be HC. He won't so that because then he has no scapegoat

Think he’s proving that everybody is questioning Siri’s playcalling that heavily. That the pass pass pass playcalling doesn’t make sense so much that people are even coming up with reasons for it. It’s that illogical.

Can it be that we are just not that good? Sure, running the ball would have helped on the final score. Maybe we only lose by 8-10. But we just do not have the players on Defense. Offense maybe they play better as they get used to the system. Rushing the ball would help and I am sure we will see this happen now that Siri saw the result of ignoring it. At least we can hope.

We need D-Line, Linebackers and at least one more CB and S on the defense. We need to draft O_line to help refresh the aging vets. Sure Hurts did not perform well. But it is only game 7 so we do need to give him some slack.

I think we're good, just inexperienced in need of a "sharper" QB. I DO feel they are taking my advice and started the "pipelines". It's frustrating early, but pays big dividends later. But we all want to "win now". I never EVER again want to see a game with 3 RB carries. Sanders rushing YTD TD's=ZERO

I agree with this. We know Hurts can run,we want to see him develop as a pocket passer. And while I am all for that, that can't be your only play call. I'm sure Sanders enjoys his well paid "vacation"(aka getting paid for doing nothing) 22 guys, they ALL need to be involved

Lurie and Howie have been forcing the issue for the QBs to throw for years now… Again the articles talking about them completely ripping into Doug Peterson for having a running game plan in WINS mind you. This team will never be a run first team not with Lurie and Howie…

I just want Watson to be dealt I’m tired of hearing the speculation on him at this point.

Watson has a no trade clause and has already said he did not want to come here. Not sure why this is still being discussed................

Because the validity of him saying he doesn’t want to come here has come into question… On top of reports saying him refusing Philly has more to do with trying to get Miami deal then actually not wanting to play in Philly.

Also recent reports stating Lurie has given the green light to make a deal for Watson.

Lets look at it.

The D line is good but not deep. Losing Graham highlights that.

LBs. Uh, what LBs. The eagles have neglected that position for so long it makes me sick.

Secondary, while better than last year the bar is set pretty low

On O  QB is what it is. He's gonna improve or the Eagles will be celler dwellers.

RBs. Who cares? When you onlyt hand the ball to them 3 times you might as well cut your RBs and sign some more receivers

TE and O line are the strong points but the O line can't stay healthy. Is there a reason or just bad luck?

Put all these together and IMO the Eagles are a bottom of the league team. If those stories about Peterson getting dumped on by Lurie and Rosie after a win for not passing enough it's not gonna change in the near future.

Glazer reported, twice, on Thursday night that the Eagles are not currently in pursuit of a Watson trade:

I want nothing to do with Watson until all of his legal peoblems are resolved.

Yeah but if we had a QB and those YOUNG STUD WR's get going and Gains pick up the pace and Sanders gets the ball more than 5 times a game we could go somewhere. Hargrave is a keeper. Slay is fine, Epps shows some things at times(I have NO more comment on the LACK OF LB picks FA's). IDK,what would this team look like with ARod under center???(you know a guy that can accurately pass for more than 8 yards and has NP handing off to his RB)
