Antonio Brown…can be the best receiver in the league in a given moment of time. Gronk can be the best TE. Fournette is so talented in a big moment …there isn’t too big a moment for his talent. There D needs to figure things out. But a one and done winner goes home…tough to bet against those guys.

Brady mentioned the drop in the SB. Probably one of the biggest things eating at him in an incredible career. I’d say that sack fumble is right there also. The best of all time is tormented by the Eagles. I’m obviously a sick **** for enjoying that like I do.

Hard not to feel that way for me after suffering for so long waiting for the Eagles' day.

Think we both agreed on him. Loved the pick. Guy is basically a slot receiver. His versatility will be so useful going forward.

Not all day. Early goaline playcalling failed. Not too much else though. Just penalties hurting us.

The play call where Ertz was open for a TD was nice, settled for 3 due to poor throw, but the play call was good.

Didn’t really see Hurts miss on much of anything today. So you just never going to give him a fair shake. Guy has to be Dan Marino for you to accept him as a starter.

I agree, if the coach can keep this top notch play calling that fits the QB perfectly and keeps the punter off the field, I think he will do fine.  Gotta hit the guys when open in the end zine though.

I want to know why the D looked ok until 1/2 time, and what caused the breakdown.

???????    KC had 3 drives for 21 points in the first half?     How is that ok?    It could only be worse if KC went for and got 2 point conversions after scoring every time?

TB D got gashed last week, they look better tonight

Pouring rain and a rookie QB can help like that.

Hurts had three TDs called back by penalties and Ward let one TD slip through his hands. Still scored 30 points.

Great play calling

AR first coach with 100 wins for two teams. Great coach. Hold that Bronze trophy high

Bronze was his time in Philly.   What did the article say during the Superbowl  " Andy Reid had to leave Philly to find his success"   Like I said, at what point does the owner ask himself why????    Be curious what the big picture looks like in a couple of years.

I think this goes to show running that crappy RPO offense with no straight rushing is just limiting Hurts. They go more to just letting him distribute the ball and he answers. So let’s stop buying the coach speak of building the O around Hurts. That O was hindering him.

Yeah...he seemed limited.... what wee his stats?    The offense is perfect for him.    A missed throw to Ertz, Smith stepping out of bounds, dumb penalties on 2 other TD passes... idk what calling a few run plays would do... the plays were there.  They didn't punt and 4 TDs were there...easily to be had.

No you cannot! If not an IMMEDIATE pass, you MUST RUN. End of story. Otherwise you will have an OLinemen downfield because they are run blocking. But i know you know that. So should Hurts. It is his freaking job. I better not have to point this out again Hurts! Dillard gets the penalty and it is 100% Hurts’ fault. It is very a simple and basic concept.

First of all

I see what you're saying but in this instance I think that throwing it was the heads up play. Not sure if that was on his mind at the time but it's true. The play was figured out immediately and Hurts was about to be run out of bounds roughly 5 yards (or more) behind the LOS. By throwing it and making KC accept the penalty Hurts took roughly the same 5 yard loss but saved the down. If the penalty is declined then it's just an incomplete pass and the ball is placed at the original LOS where the play started saving those 5+ yards.

edit:

Something that I forgot is that none of this really mattered anyway since on the same play KC was called for a 15 yard penalty for pushing Hurts when he was going out of bounds

Our D was terrible. Paying all that money to Cox and Slay and they did nothing shows the direction we need to go next draft. The offense was good but KC's defense is terrible so you really cannot take too much from that. I heard a rumor that the reason they were not running Sanders too much was they are pushing to trade him and Goddert for Watson. I thought Watson has a no trade clause so not sure if that has any merit. Sounds like some writer is just throwing something out there to see if it sticks....

I have never seen 3 Td's called back in one game for the Eagles. I guess it has happed before but I sure cannot remember. Of course I can't remember allot these days.....

Ignoring the LB position for the past 2 decades needs to be corrected. Look at all of the better defenses in the league and you see all have an dominate LB. We need to grab one next draft along with another DE and CB in the first round. Would go a long way to helping this unit improve. Add in another DT and S later on. Maybe we would have a decent unit next season... Still a long way from a top 10 but at least we should be able to stop other teams occasionally...

Obviously the play calling isn't doing Hurts any favors

It's not hard to play D when you only have to defend against the pass.

LOL where ya gonna run to when we cant open holes for RB's? Yeah try running through a wall, you'd get the same results

GB NC, do you really see this team winning 6-8 games still? Last place schedule which helps a LOT. Jets and Lions. Redskins will get their stuff together and beat the Eagles twice. Giants? Eagles might get one on them. AFC West…forget about it. NFC South…already beat the worst team there. Eagles would need a poor day by one of the other teams in that division to win one of those. It could happen.

I hate seeing Dallas good again. PAINFUL!

Bucs don't look like a team that will repeat. My NBC coverage is all jittery and hard to watch. Fix the freaking cameras already!

If we pull off 6 games,I would suspect it would be in the back 1/2 of the season, when this young team has had some time to "gel"(if they do) and other teams could have injuries we could exploit. That is if WE stay healthy and we are already seeing re-runs of injuries plaguing us again

Don’t think us winning much helps at all. We need that infusion of quality youth. Been really behind on this. Also while clearing cap space. Yes, still think this is a crucial part of the equation even though I stand alone. Infuse the team with good young players then we can use money to fill the holes through free agency. That the way to do it. The more cap cleared and the less relying on overpaying free agents the longer the window for greatness is open.

Once again you don't "stand alone" please. NOONE enjoys cap issues. When you have injuries pile up you go hire players, when you have little development from draft picks, you go hire players. When you think you are 1 QB away from a SB,you GO hire one. If you make stupid moves, you have to go HIRE new guys. ALL teams caps fluctuate, this isn't specifically and Eagles issue. After the Wentz debacle what cap issues do we have????? What helped is we started the pipelines which I have been harping about for years and years!!!! Now we have ROOK WR's,we don't need to go buy any!!!!. We have rook RB's(or under rook contracts" we don't need to go BUY any. When you find stud players, they need to be paid,or do you plan on putting limits on their income? You can but they will walk the first chance they get

Bucs are tough. Didn’t look great last year really. But when it comes time they are clutch. Brady makes everybody believe also. Goes a long way.

Belicheat knows how Tom ticks and what his weaknesses are. So no real surprise he was limited last night. means little for the other 30 teams, unless Belicheat writes a book about it and sends it out

But at least the offense was keeping pace with them. It's not like other teams haven't done that before (remember play 30 last year?) Our defense is "bend don't break",but they did yesterday especially in the 2nd 1/2.. Missed alot of stop opportunities, but it was against one of the best offenses in the league,so I don't feel we did much worse than any other team does against them. IMO that makes our defense "average" and I was trying to view that as a bright side. At the 1/'2 we were still in the game?? yeah we were!!! We all want to pitch a shut out every game-not happening. I thought the first 1/2 we held our own and were still in the game. The D did about the same the second half(another 21 scored) but the O failed to stay on the field. We invest little on defense,so why is it a shock we get points put up on us??? They key is(like the Manning Colts) is to outscore your opponent and we failed to do it

I thought the call against Jjaw was BOGUS. he had to "complete his route".So how(or why would you) do you DO that when the ball is ALREADY in the EZ???? Super bad call IMO

OK draft(not great) for C's and linemen(O and D) next time. VERY weak at the skill positions on offense, so hopefully we take what D is around when we pick because there are few O players worth thinking about. Early yet, some stars my emerge, but right now I see noone worth moving up for. In fact moving down ALOT would probably be the play unless we find some DITR that hasn't surfaced yet(I still love Olave at WR,so far nobody else trips my trigger)

Anyway, I wish we had never talked about a "QB factory". When have we ever cranked one out? You can stock 25 truckloads of wood, but if you have no hammers, you ain't building a house. We can't develop QB's or WR's, although I feel we are making progress with WR's now. Some teams are just good at it(GB and SF) We are EXCELLENT at TE's,we never seem to have an issue when it comes to replacing one(for whatever reasons),but that's as far as we go. I'm hoping we can get this development at other positions moving. Remains to be seen

Carolina loves to run the ball so we are doomed to fail next week..... We have no LB's that can fill holes..... Dbl Team our Tackles and just run up the gut. Get 6-10 yards a carry...

That was my question yesterday. Where are the damn linebackers?
