I think they are trying to get him to pass more, so running plays are rare. IDk if that's a strategy, or just lack of faith in your O line opening holes. We even give up the running game when it's working. No smash mouth RB at the GL and our only basher is on the PS,so now teams have no fear of us running from the 2

KC defense dominated our offense...lol

It was rumored the Eagles, Giants and Green Bay were in on Smith.   So I think assuming we didn't try is incorrect.   I agree with the bigger problem... free agents don't want to come here at the moment.   But that comes with the perception of where the team is at and where it's going.

Yeah to be fair we can kill Howie all we want for not signing Smith but the reality is he's gone to a potential contender. We are definitely not a contender now and we probably won't be for another few years.

And the last part should be the only reason... which is all that matters... for being upset with Howie

Just hoping for some big injuries to contending teams so we can make some moves before the deadline….fleece ‘um Rosie

Of coarse it seems many here are hoping we pick up new players. We should SELL SELL SELL!

Ham, this is me in 2007 near Halloween with my best wide retriever by my side. I'm ready to go at moments notice when Howie calls my agent lol314177527_MewWerewolfMaskHelmet.thumb.JPG.1b053b7afba76a840fd72249b0fd326e.JPG

WHY? It's already  not enticing to play here, why would you make that worse? 🤣 Sell WHOM? And what are you doing with that money, adding a bathroom???

I mean yeah you could say that. I'm certainly no Howie fan but we did win the SB and the year after were very close to going back to the NFCCG.

We may as well let this whole thing go for now. It is what it is. I understand why no one would want to come here unless we decided to pay more than they are worth.

Getting draft capital for players may be an option, as long as we don't "Give" them away. I believe Dillard has shown he is a capable LT and I would think many teams could use a solid starter at that position. Whether or not they would be willing to give us at least a #2 pick is another story. Perhaps as some mentioned, an injury would force their hand? Anyway, laying low for now seems the best option...

I see a problem brewing. That is, if we continue to snub Sanders,he will ask to be traded because he wants to PLAY and he s getting no stats here

We need to worry a little about Lane(not because he is out). Mailiata was re-signed as a LT and was paid as such,so do you move Dillard or Mailata. Although I haven't been a Dillard fan, he DID play ok. So IDK what's going to happen at LT when mailata returns(if he does or goes to RT?) More mess with the Oline lol

I am upset because of his FAILURE after the SB to keep this team in contention. Most teams can rebuild to .500 in 2 years or LESS. Good FO ,coaching, good draft and FA acquisition keeps the pipelines open. Who the heck doesn't want to play in KC?? And they have wanted to play there many years. They have a waiting list and we have a bargain bin. It's like would you rather shop at Saks or Goodwill(and I have nothing against Goodwill)

You going to the Jets game Sunday in Londonville?

Not a huge difference for Mailata as a RT or LT either the 7th highest paid LT at the moment or the 6th highest paid RT. To me doesn’t matter I’m more looking at having two young good bookend Ts if that is having Dillard at LT and Mailata at RT I’m fine with it… If it’s Mailata at LT and someone else at RT fine also.

Hell maybe Dillard can be a RT he has been working at RT with Stout. That’s an option also.

Let’s face it….we are a few terrible games from having an all out mutiny. Fletch and Sanders but seem ready to abandon ship. Many more will want to follow right behind them. We need Rosie to try and stay ahead of this though. Don’t want everybody forcing trades so we don’t get any fair value back.

Brooks is the obvious trade option for us if he can prove he’s back healthy. Lane they pushed so much money forward on I don’t know what are options are. He hasn’t been looking good either. Giving up pressure and being penalized a bunch.

We have/had a pretty tough opening schedule. Of course at this point, with this team every team is tough. As far as lane, his "personal" time could be a death or family illness,or was it to go interview with other teams? Just interesting there was no word about what that personal time off was about and while I am all for allowing personal time not to be infringed upon,I still find it interesting there has been no word at all. Watch the vid again when we selected Smith,he didn't look pleased at all

It was said Lane drove to Oklahoma and such. So I do believe he’s dealing with something serious. It’s his play and pay I’m more concerned with.

IDK I just want to avoid moving players round again. If we keep moving Mailata I would find that bothersone, then again it doesn't seem like Dillard can play anything else. I wanted to try him at LG but apparently thats not going to happen

Well they(or even he could release a atatement) could say 'family issues" without really infringing on his privacy, but this team needs the players we pay to play and he's been out 2 games

Sadly, in fantasy I put in Darnold and the Panthers D this week. Teams have a quandry on which way they want to beat us, ground or air because they can do both. Caff's going to run  amok,so Darnold may not even pass much,so could be a bad decision for me lol

And when he has played he’s making mistakes. Think he’s one if the most penalized players in the league this season(well before he started missing games).

Darnold has been running more than I ever would have thought.

DJ Moore, Robbie Anderson and Terrace Marshall are a very dangerous triple threat. Haven’t really heard people talk about them like people talk about other teams. Not sure what we can even do about them.
