Week 5. I am officially giving up on Jackson on one fantasy team,he sucks

yes better rating tossing 3 yards to RB's and TE's,then they run for 8 and he gets the yardage as "passing yards"

Yeah Wentz did have that nice pass to his RB that he took fir a 76 yard TD to start the game

Wentz track record tends to speak of him protecting the ball well but your looking at one year when Wentz had nobody and tried to win games for his team and knock him

It wasn't just one year though. Sure he was especially bad at it last year but Wentz hasn't been very good (for the most part) since the ACL injury.

Hurts does that like every play after his ONE read

Hurts doesn't play hero ball. Say what you want about his failings but he doesn't play hero ball.

But I gotta ask .. when he crap around him in 2019 and was playing the " hero ball " instead of relying on practice squad guys , did it bother you when they won?    But because last year it was so screwed up beyond.

Wentz in 2019 was not good. He got it together at the end of 2019 and yes that was impressive given who he was doing it with. But ultimately he was impressive against 3 bad teams. That masked what was overall a pretty poor season for Wentz. Because Wentz isn't a franchise QB.

It's early yet

By this time last year we were already on 5th stringers.

That's right. Hurts has WAY better receivers than Wentz had last year. He needs to get the ball to them instead of taking off by himself. Instead of "putting the team on his back" as one college coach spoke of Hurts. Not taking away the kid's heart and will to win though. I respect that about him.

I don't mind Hurts running at all... it's his strength.  The longer he waits to throw the ball, it's to his disadvantage with his arm.    I think it works for him.  Now if that works for the team in the long run,  that's a different discussion.

And yes the WRs seem better... but a big thing that I can't understand why people don't get.... the WRs have been the same guys... last year was a different starting group every week.    Players need practice time and game time together.  Wasn’t there last year at all.

But why does it matter how you fail.  You should fail trying to do everything you can to win.   Wtf is this " hero ball" thing?    You prefer the year Rodgers threw twice as many passes away as the 2nd highest on the list... and led GB to a 6-10 record?   You lose, you better leave everything out on the table.   Especially at QB.

Foles won a SB... vs a New England secondary that was missing a starter and a poor pass rush, then beat a Houston team with their entire secondary out....  which masked the fact he sucked in most of the other games in 2017-18.

But I'll take it any time when winning masks anything.    Again, a concept you seem to miss... maybe you never played the game, but teammates matter...especially at QB.

And answer the question.  When your team is the inferior one.. do you prefer your QB to play like a conservative b@tch... or to try and do everything to win.   I prefer the latter.   And it's why I don't mind Hurts running, at least it shows he's trying to make a play, when he thinks he has to.  I also don't mind the ineligible downfield penalties on plays where he looks to make the bigger play.   Especially when they are losing.

Dude threw for 4000 yards with no WR having over 500 on top of 27-7 td-int ratio in 2019…

Mmmm this is a toughie I don’t mind the aspect of making a play but you also have to know the play… most of the ineligible downfield penalties come off the RPOs gotta know the OL is blocking like a run play and you can’t hold the ball.

What’s the point of the big play if it’s just going to come back.

I know it’s crazy QB get all the credit for plays like this but let’s not talk about Hurts getting most his yards from these type of throws

Hurts has had good games and bad games. Let's face it, no one knows what we will end up with come January. My fear is the coach does not seem to be helping him develop. This could end up hurting both him and the team. If he ends up having a "Average" year mostly due to bad play calling and we spend two first round picks on a QB, only to find out it is the coach would be disastrous.....

I’m not fond of the play calling but Hurts is also missing to many open throws… the deep undeethrows are a concern also.

But again been saying it for weeks now and it’s on both Siri and hurts we have to be able to attack the intermediate and deep areas if we want to open the underneath yac stuff

With Hurts right now I’m watching the throw more then anything else.
Vs Carolina I highlighted two big throws that I liked from Hurts the ball to Quez was slightly under thrown but big play good read

Pass to Geodart for like 20 yards on the final TD drive

These are the throws I want to see Hurts but more consistently I don’t care if we are a short behind the line passing team fine let that be our bread and butter lot of those plays are extensions of a ground game(we all know howie/Laurie won’t let us actually run)…But for those plays to work Hurts HAS to hit the intermediate/deep shots when they are there.

Right now it just seems like teams sit and wait for the underneath stuff no real respect for our intermediate or deep passing attack and that is a problem.

Please don't confuse the Wentz haters with facts.

LMAO so why can't WE do that? Oh yeah because Hurts won't give the ball to his RB's(either passing OR handing off). DO you see the ERROR of this yet??????

Huh> He is scrambling an awful lot and I doubt that was planned,so spin it how you want, but he has to force ALOT of plays,so put whatever word on that you need to

And we were 1-3-1,so one tie vs win difference. Big deal

Yeah we built this team for WENTZ. The Smith pick was a no brainer regardless of who your QB was. That's why we have 3 speedster WR's because Wentz had the arm to hit them

Agreed. I keep saying I see NO PROGESS, but I am ignored. Progress to me would be seeing Hurts go through this checkdowns (at this point I would even take TWO instead of the 1 read and run). He hasn't matured/grown beyond this point. Now, I have no idea whose fault that is, but am have been pointing that out for awhile

Vita Vea is a monster. Really tough job for the interior of the Oline.

Looks like a solid list of DBs adding up in the top of this 2022 draft class.

Tampa has to play Zone coverages. Can Siri find ways to attack that? Do Hurts and these young WR know what they want to do here? Be interesting to see how these guys go at Richard Sherman. Obviously he is good at being physical with receivers. He can’t come close to matching their speed though.
