QBs that Hurts is playing better than this year:

Zack Wilson, Davis Mills, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Trey Lance, Taylor Heinicke, Jacoby Brissett, Jared Goff, Big Ben, Mac Jones, Sam Darnold, Jameis Winston, Carson Wentz, Daniel Jones, Baker Mayfield and Teddy Bridgewater.

QBs playing the same level:

Matt Ryan, Joe Burrow and Ryan Tannehill

 Leaving twelve QBs playing better:

Matthew Stafford, Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Josh Allen, Derrick Carr, Patrick Mahomes, Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert and Tom Brady

Looks like a solid list of DBs adding up in the top of this 2022 draft class.

Yeah much better defense and lineman draft than offense

Tampa has to play Zone coverages. Can Siri find ways to attack that? Do Hurts and these young WR know what they want to do here? Be interesting to see how these guys go at Richard Sherman. Obviously he is good at being physical with receivers. He can’t come close to matching their speed though.

Bunch formations to draw safety.

I would imagine that arrangement is from a compilation of Comp. % & QB rating. (?)

Mmmm this is a toughie I don’t mind the aspect of making a play but you also have to know the play… most of the ineligible downfield penalties come off the RPOs gotta know the OL is blocking like a run play and you can’t hold the ball.

What’s the point of the big play if it’s just going to come back.

Right.  As time goes on... for now, or I should sat these first few games,  it his instinct is that there is a bigger play to make,  and he tries for it...while they are losing,  then I don't mind.    Eventually it has to be cleaned up as he gets more polished,  but I'm just looking at the gut instinct.  I have to give him that positive, since my main thing is the weak arm.   I think those a permanent aspects.... negative = weak arm, positive = looking for bigger play when losing.

I guess it depends on what rankings you look at. Below a ranking of QB's and Hurts is 20th.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32071373/nfl-quarterback-rankings-2021-how-all-32-teams-qbs-stack-weekly-big-takeaways

NFL.com has him at 20 also...

So not sure what you are basing your info on...

Yes I see scheme.  It's the Chip Kelly offense, except now we have a running QB that can throw short passes consistently accurate.    It's playing to the strengths of the QB.    Yes we ran the ball at the end of the game as a tired Carolina D that was on the field a ton at the end.  Congrats they got 25 yards.   They aren't going to win like the 1982 Redskins.   For me,  I want to see as much Hurts, Smith and Watkins as possible.  Mix in Gainwell for some key plays.      But I'm probably the lowest on Sanders on this board. I don't see him as an impact player at all... he can run a little,  but dude has zero football savvy.

Yep, Carolina's Defense was dead tired with 3 minutes to go. I mean Philly ran just over 50 plays all game! Had just over 20 minutes TOP!  LOL they were Gassed!!! Eagles need to run the ball, but not up the gut at TB's D Tackles. They are monsters so they won't do much there. However, Miles strengths are running wide... Run the ball a few plays then toss it over the top for some deep balls when TB brings up the LB's. Yes, TB's weakness is the deep ball. But you need to keep the front 4 honest or they will tee off on Hurts.

Anyway, we will see tonight. I highly doubt they run the ball. So we should see just how effective siri is passing against that bad Defense...

So WTH is going on with Lane? Any update?

Serious family matter. I read he may not return this year so must be serious.....

Yeah I agree with you here. For this game, with Goedert out,I would use Stoll on a few plays since they will be keying on Ertz and he should have a nice match-up on a chip and go route. I would like to see alot of Smith and Quez on mid range crossing patterns. I'm already tired of taking "illegal man downfield" penalties,so Hurts better get this dang ball out. I think this will be a close game if we execute. Brady is surgical at those mid range passes,Hurts needs to do the same, although I am not expecting him to be Brady yet,but we know that's always been his bread and butter with his former TE's and those sure handed slot receivers he had in NE. Siri needs to emphasize to "MAKE THE CATCH" before you try a football move. In a close game those type drops will kill you. Interestingly TB runs less than we do. I think they will test that early with our O line to see if there is any traction there, but I think ultimately, this will be the "shootout game" that I feel we would all like to see. In this case the 1 read and run we have done before could actually be an advantage. Getting the ball in stride to Smith will be a big deal in my view.Hurts needs to stop the late passes and get thses guys in stride because we know they can fly

I heard it was HIS addiction issue? If you enter a serious program, that takes a long time to complete. But it's your life and that's more important. Maybe he beats his addiction and comes back better for the few years he would have left. or he decides to retire and not risk it again. I just wonder if the Eagles org could have helped him earlier if this is true. he could have spent alot of offseason in rehab. But we shall see

So I assume we will see the same O line as last week? I would, because we need those guys to gel

We can use Reagor and Quez on flares, screens and pitch outs and I would like to see Gainwell play a bit. Gotta give Hurts time to make his one read lol, but he needs to let this ball go tonight. They need to be quick, tight and accurate and even though his arm is weak he needs to laser those 12 yarders. Brady will try to grind the D down and he's good at it and we can't be stupid with clock management,so I'm hoping to see us coherent on all those little things and stop the stupid penalties

The main issue I have is Mailata didn't look comfortable on the right side. he played ok, but you can see he is best suited for the LT slot(or is it just me?)

I do not see a close game tonight. Hope I am wrong, but unless they run to keep TB honest, this will be a wipeout. Yes the defense played great last weekend. But you cannot compare TB to Carolina without McCaffrey. Like night and Day. Brady has already seen the tapes of our defense and knows how to beat us. Darnold played poorly. You cannot expect that type of play from Brady.....Slay can cover one WR. Who covers the other two? How do we stop Fournette?

Well it would be close if we could execute all those things. I question if we can,so I assume we will lose, but I would like to make a game of it. I hope we can pressure Brady or it will be a long night. We really need this offense to fire on all cylinders, which we haven't seen yet,but this would be a nice place to start that

Based of what exactly l????

You know the actual throwing QB aspect Wentz has been clearly better. Right around same passing yards same passing tds and fewer ints

Daniel Jones 4-1 TD to int rstio vastly better QBR then Hurts

Jared Goff could argue been just as good on a worse team

TB game will come down to Hurts sounds bad but he will have to make the big time throws consistently…. Defense will have to slow TB down but we aren’t going to shut them down.

We shouldn’t expect to keep pace with TB with the underneath stuff expecting us to break plays all the time so will ultimately come down to Hurts ability to make the intermediate and deep plays

I thought Darnold would kill us Sunday(especially without Caff), but he didn't, so IDK what to expect tonight. We are so inconsistent you can't predict anything with this team

IDK bro,I thought Darnold would light us up(especially without Caff),so I have no idea what to expect from this inconsistent team

Still don’t get this since he really isn’t… Sometbing like 7th highest paid LT and 7th highest paid RT really not a huge difference in todays nfl from the LT and RT

Whatever,he doesn't look comfortable on the right side no matter what he makes. Once again, Dillard whines his way to what he wants while Mailata manned up because Dillard "can only play on the left"(wuss)
