We waived Sidney Jones 

Looks like we are cutting both Jones and Miller. Not a great look for the recent drafts, although if Maddox and Toohill/Ostman work out, it's a wash.

#Eagles are still trying to trade WR Alshon Jeffery — as they have since early last season — NFL sources said. But his contract ($9.91M base) and injury situation (has yet to practice following Lisfranc foot surgery) make it improbable

Think miller has a good chance to land on PS.... Uphill battle for him with so much depth at DE.... Graham/Burnett/Sweat/Curry all we’re locks then have Avery/Ostman/Toohill 

Wow Released Douglas as well unfortunately he never fit with Schwartz would like to see him land in Seattle or SF think either could maximize his talents he not that different from Sherman

I have heard that Douglas wants to play safety, but the team refused to move him. So it may be better for him to get a fresh start.

I mean not sure if we want to count this as growth for Howie or knock him for it but he isn’t keeping guys solely on draft position guys have to perform....

Can say well we held onto Jones/Douglas to long but in all honesty we didn’t really have any CBS to replace them.... Now we have Maddox/Slay/James/Leblanc/Coleman

Mmmmm not sure about that just a numbers game we have 5 CBs we like more then Jones/Douglas... Douglas just didn’t seem to fit our mold and Jones couldn’t stay on the field.

I agree with this for whatever reason Schwartz was never a fan and he never really fit with what we wanted From our CBs

Jones was never the same after his injury.We gave him time,he just never made it back to his pre talent RD1 draft pick status.We took a shot on him in 2 hoping he would come all the way back,but he never got there

I mean overall,we dumped 3 RB's that got alot of looks in camp

He never stayed on the field long enough to say if he could return to form.... He had a decent stretch think year 2 was ranked as one of the better slot CBs but then injuries derailed him again. 

Ostman reportedly cut. Didn't see that coming.

Already what his 3 year for us don’t hate the guy but potential only goes so far and apparently he didn’t beat out a what 7th rounder in toohill

Some thoughts on the final roster.

The injury situation of Parks, Reagor, Jeffery, Hargrave and Avery bears watching. If those guys aren't back pretty soon, then it was dumb to roster them because they could have been put on pup and been out six weeks. So if they aren't playing by then, the team made an unforced error.

Eight linemen seems thin. I think they have to add someone, although it seems like the top 8 guys were pretty far ahead of the guys who didn't make it.

I think keeping Epps and Ford is not great, but I think the team was just ready to move on from Jones and Douglas. Realistically they won't see the field as the team has eight guys they like (McLeod, Mills, Slay, Maddox, NRC, Wallace, LeBlanc and James), plus Parks when he gets back, so it's fine to use two spots as fillers until they find someone they like better.

I like the decision to keep Singleton. I think he and Edwards are our two best LBs, and it's not really close. The team loves Gerry, but he simply can't tackle. If he isn't better this year, I think he gets replaced. I think Taylor and Bradley were wasted draft picks, but we will see.

I think keeping Avery was a bad decision, but I guess they want to give him a shot. I hope Toohill gets some playing time early on. He is a clone of Connor Barwin, and can be used in a lot of different ways.

8 is my preference honestly but I do think we sign someone ie cordy glenn

Think parks injury impacted this supposed to miss 4 weeks so likely first 2-3 games and really thin.... Only backup was a rookie Wallace if we dropped them

Wasn’t Bradley having a monster camp???? As for Taylor physical tools all there up to the coaches to get him coached up and ready to play 

Looking at the 53 man roster my main thoughts.

TE seems thing only 2 guys especially since we love the 2 TE sets 

WR- can’t see us keeping 7 guys reports saying we are trying to trade Alshon 

OL- think we will sign a vet thinking Cordy Glenn who we just recently worked out

S- think 6 is kinda heavy think one will be cut make room for someone else.

Lastly wonder how the new PS rules effected our roster decisions we usually only dressed 7 OL on game days so if we have say 2-3 OL we like on PS injuries happen before the week we can call a guy up on game day saves a roster spot
