Roseman said Eagles have players to put on IR, so they have moves to make in next 24 hours. He clarified they cannot claim a player with a spot opened by IR. So IR moves need to come after all waiver claims.

Some thoughts on the final roster.

The injury situation of Parks, Reagor, Jeffery, Hargrave and Avery bears watching. If those guys aren't back pretty soon, then it was dumb to roster them because they could have been put on pup and been out six weeks. So if they aren't playing by then, the team made an unforced error.

Eight linemen seems thin. I think they have to add someone, although it seems like the top 8 guys were pretty far ahead of the guys who didn't make it.

I think keeping Epps and Ford is not great, but I think the team was just ready to move on from Jones and Douglas. Realistically they won't see the field as the team has eight guys they like (McLeod, Mills, Slay, Maddox, NRC, Wallace, LeBlanc and James), plus Parks when he gets back, so it's fine to use two spots as fillers until they find someone they like better.

I like the decision to keep Singleton. I think he and Edwards are our two best LBs, and it's not really close. The team loves Gerry, but he simply can't tackle. If he isn't better this year, I think he gets replaced. I think Taylor and Bradley were wasted draft picks, but we will see.

I think keeping Avery was a bad decision, but I guess they want to give him a shot. I hope Toohill gets some playing time early on. He is a clone of Connor Barwin, and can be used in a lot of different ways.

I hope he's not a Barwin clone. We lost Barwin when we changed defensive schemes

Wasn’t Bradley having a monster camp???? As for Taylor physical tools all there up to the coaches to get him coached up and ready to play

I think Bradley (and a few other guys) really benefitted from a training camp that was largely without tackling this year. I hope I am wrong, since he has all the physical tools, but his college tape was pretty bad at times. He would flash on some plays and then make a bad blunder the next.

To me, Taylor should be playing the SS position in our defense. He has all the tools to do it, and it's the position he played in college. I don't see him as a LB in our defense, which requires him to fill gaps on running plays and take on blockers. I would rather see him be in a position to use his speed (he is faster and bigger than Mills) to be able to react to what is happening and fly around the field. But the team only sees him as a linebacker, so I think his skills will mostly be wasted.

We can put guys on IR now, but we can't fill their spots until the waiver window has closed.

He was definitely listed as an OLB for Colorado not sure where you getting the idea he played S in college.... As for Bradley again he was having a monster camp from what I have heard and was a tackling machine in our live practices....

OL- think we will sign a vet thinking Cordy Glenn who we just recently worked out

Glenn hasn't worked out yet since he has had to go through covid protocol. I am not a fan, but I think he will get signed pretty quickly, as the team is unwilling to try Mailata at this point and Pryor is not a LT.

Even watching Taylor’s tape at Colorado played WLB... With us loving to play 2 LBs and them having such a huge role in coverage for us thinking Taylor can definitely thrive at LB here

Think your way to high on Mailata who has had reps at LT so clearly hasn’t impressed much just saying

I watched film of him. He was almost exclusively matched up on the other team's tight end, which is how we use our SS. He wasn't one of the team's two linebackers. If you watch his tape versus that of Bradley, who was a linebacker, the difference is easy to see.

We have I believe 18 mil cap space remaining(with Alshon now on IR-if I'm reading it right),so I would not be against spending some of it.So even if Alshon comes off IR,that still leaves us about 9 mil to play with.I would not spend it all,but like 1.5 mil for Lamar Miller would help and maybe a few mil for another decent lineman.I am not a lineman guy, maybe y'all can find some guys we need to acquire

Lmao lots of teams line up there Lbs vs TEs not uncommon it doesn’t change the fact that Taylor was a LB in college

Alshon isn’t on IR pretty sure we just took him off the PuP list also

League min. I’d guess or not much more then that would be my guess

You can call him whatever you want. The position he played in college is the one Mills plays in our defense, and the one Jenkins played last year. So it doesn't matter what you call it, the role he played in college is vastly different from the role he will play here.

Jenkins also played slot CB for us last year and covered numerous WRs not just TE and played deep along with being a quasi Lb in our 2 LB sets.... As for Mills we can’t say he will be used the same as Jenkins yet because we have yet to see it.

He's showing on Over the cap as on IR which removes his salary from the cap

Going to go with they just have not updated it....

.... I mean not like he could say yes I’m trying to move him all he could really do was deny it.

For those who have asked, Alshon Jeffery is not eligible to go onto Injured Reserve for three weeks and then be activaed. You can't be cleared off PUP and go onto IR because once you're off PUP you're not considered injured anymore. So he's on the 53

Everyone is for sale lol Just depends what offers you get.I don't see anyone paying the salary for an injured player, who will miss at least 3 games.Like Joe said, any trade would come after he is back and has shown he can play, but if he can play why trade him? Catch 22 lol

Minus the fact that he is seemly unhappy here and the whole leaking things to the media stuff possible fracture between him and Wentz??? The fact that if we can trade him we free up decent amount of cap while gaining any kind of value for him over likely just releasing him next offseason.

Welp noones gonna trade for him right now

That wasn’t the question of when or if he will get trade just answering why we would trade him if/when we get an offer for him
