Everyone looks like crap pass blocking when your QB holds the ball 6 seconds

Sure blame one guy for everything. Truth is the Oline wasn’t pass blocking well. I won’t even put it all on them. Siri calling pass pass pass had the D teeing off on us. Lane’s comments confirmed as much lately. It helps to let the Oline we have, they are really big guys, do some run mauling. Helps wear out the D and keep them guessing and on their toes. To me this is just football 101 stuff.

yes I posted that

Our 3 and outs have little to do with that too I'm sure 🙄

Sitting on the bench forever while the D is out there giving up long methodical drives doesn’t help the O. They come out cold with no momentum. That’s just basic football stuff there. Happens to everybody…. even the best.

https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-qb.php  Please note "deep ball" passing stats and "PKT"(QB release times). Also note the "ball in the air" time. This shows me Hurts has no deep ball and his stats are padded with YAC. Not rocket science here

Most times they are gassed(besides the lack of talent) because we keep them on the field so long(again). So you have mediocre players being gassed. Not hard to figure out why we lose

OK I will blame the one guy(as a player) that can't get it done. That is HURTS. Doesn't really matter what the play call is if you CANT execute them

Another BIG one is "times hurried" C'mon Ham ,you cant argue with stats(but you will)

Hurts 2.6 vs Wentz 2.5 oh wow ….that’s just horrible of Hurts. Couldn’t possibly consider he’s been with a first time HC calling plays for the first time learning a new offense.

Sure, when the D is playing prevent lol

That would mean the Oline probably didn’t block well. That would be in defense of Hurts all the way….that stat.

Why would they do that? Hurts willed us down the field to tie the game.

Wentz still better in every category and he played with 2 bum ankles for 4 weeks lol

Or he is holding the ball too long? How can you pass block when you have no clue what the QB is going to do in an RPO offense? Now that we are getting AWAY from that, let them change my mind that the issue is NOT at the QB position

That was Smith getting open. HE willed us down the field. Hurts had one dive play for a first down. Last drive was all Smith. I was glad Hurts got him the ball(improvement) Now that we are hopefully OUT of the college offense,I will see if Hurts improves, but he still has a noodle arm

Just feels like I’m arguing with somebody that isn’t actually watching the games. Dickerson hasn’t been good pass blocking. The whole Oline had serious issues pass blocking this season. That’s not holding on to the ball by the QB…..that’s the blocker getting smoked.

LOL nope, that is due to the RPO offense(aka no actual play called). So what do you do run block or pass block? When you don't know you, can't do either

You have PRO athletes trying to adapt to a COLLEGE offense. The COLLEGE QB(and rookie coach) need to get up to the PRO level.not revert everyone back to college. Siri is getting it(finally)

Actually Hurts converted two third downs with his legs on that. But getting everyone on the same page to see the Zero Blitz was well done resulting in the pass to Smith. That’s all we need from Hurts….be the leader. Chargers have a big time Defensive mind as their coach. Siri said he thinks Staley threw everything he had at Hurts. I think he deserves some big time credit on this. If the D actually gets a stop ever after we tie the game up….totally convinced Hurts does it again. He has short comings…sure. But why not focus and notice all the positives he brings. Guy looks pretty clutch to me.

It was a nice drive,we need more of them(their D sucks too and they had CB's out lol). Since we seem to have abandoned the college RPO(which I reco'd in week 3), we have been playing much better IMO. I was nice to see Siri exploting that fact(that their CB's were out)

I love Hurts.....as a BU which is what he was drafted for

I was saying the same. Too many here bought the coach speak that Siri was catering things to Hurts. He was really hampering him. I’m fine with SOME RPO. A playcall mixed in here and there. Hurts is an incredible weapon.

Ole miss and A&M are going at it-good game!~!~

I think Siri was catering to him. But Siri woke up and realized they needed to play PRO ball, the college gig wasn't cutting it. Hurts is fine as a BU/game manager(like Foles was) but we're not going over .500 with him

We are an above average offense with this "backup” QB under a first time playcaller. Imagine if we had a D that actually got the O the ball back occasionally. The D doesn’t give up big plays….they just let every offense control the ball and walk right down the field every time.

So glad you finally see it. Now get us a starting caliber QB and watch us "fly"

The obvious to me is that we have a bunch of young guys on offense. They all should easily improve. Give us any kind of legit defense and this is a top ten offense. Might become top ten just on this young core improving as the season goes on.(plus getting Brooks and Sanders back)

Who? How?
