Well maybe he would be worth a final pick so you have a future TE.He will probably play sparsely this year, but maybe he will contribute next year depending on what they do with Cook. You asked me about TE's ,so I assumed you were on the hunt for a rook one

GB, Yeah I was just asking incase there was one because I don't follow college.  No rookie TE's got drafted.   Here were my 10 picks (remember I had 20 keepers)

5 WRS ...Ruggs, JJ, Shenault, Mimms, Higgins  ...  RB James Robinson JAX, Perine NYJ and Bowden Jr. Raiders  ...QB Jordan Love ...  my one vet pickup was TE Vance McDonald

Looking ahead to the first game, here are some predictions.

On offense, I expect the team to be in mostly 12 personnel. Peters seems entrenched at guard, so the starting LT will either be a new face (Glenn) or a guy not really suited to the position (Pryor.) Neither is ideal. Sanders should be 100 percent, but I expect Clement and Scott to get a decent number of touches.

Hurts will likely be active, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him in on a few plays just to throw the defense a curveball. I think DJax plays a lot of snaps, with Hightower giving him a breather, and Ward and JJAW splitting time at the WR2 spot. One issue with Reagor being out is that, if DJax isn't on the field, we are back to where we were last year. It's one reason why they may re-sign Burnett, although he isn't super fast, but he has better wheels than Ward or JJAW, and can play the Z.

On defense, I expect Gerry and Riley to get the bulk of the snaps. We will see how that goes. One mystery is who is the sixth DB, with Epps probably getting the nod over LeBlanc and Wallace. The DE position is somewhat interesting. Barnett, Avery and Curry have been hobbled by injuries, and it's not ideal for Graham and Sweat to play a ton of snaps.  I think Ostman, if he gets through waivers, is brought back and then either he or Toohill sees the field the first week.

So if i had to guess, I would say that Avery, Parks and Reagor are put on IR, and are replaced by Ostman, Burnett and then either Holyfield or Togiai, depending on if they feel they need a fourth RB or a third TE more.

He's showing on Over the cap as on IR which removes his salary from the cap

GB,

First ... the link above is the overthecap page for the Eagles.       Second, a player on IR does NOT come off the cap.  That's not how the cap works.  Otherwose, Dillard and Brooks would be coming off the cap too.  As well as any other player that was injured over the years, then they would have came off the cap.... so that's not how it works.   Overthecap will update wit hthe final roster and any dead money from those that are cut,   but your IR players count.   You only save cap space with Alshon if you trade him.  That is the incentive to trade him and why they probably will as soon as he is physically ready to play.  It's not really a catch 22 because they need and want the cap space over anything he can do for them on the field for just this year.

We're also currently 43 mill over the cap for next yr. We'll handle it, makes it easier if we roll some over like Howie likes to do. At least we ain't the Aints - 70 mill over!

Seems like an annual event, doesn't it?

Howie usually likes to carry over around 25 mill

[9:13 AM ET] - The NFL’s official transaction wire shows that Grayland Arnold, Deontay Burnett, Travis Fulgham, Elijah Holyfield, Luke Juriga, Adrian Killins, Elijah Riley, and Michael Warren all visited Philly on Saturday. I’d think all of those guys will be on the practice squad. If so, that leaves eight open spots.

3 RBs have to image that played a massive role in us only keeping 3 on roster with us able to call up PS guys on game day now if needed... Wondering how that influenced a lot of positions like OL as well

See we're also in the black hole of dead money - 17 mill. Most in Jenkins and Bradham - 11.4 mill. I hate dead money! There's always going to be some, feel 17 mill's too much

AP to the Lions for a pittance

Peterson, who has stated previously he intends to play at least another four years, is set to earn a max of $2.3 mllion, which breaks down to a $1.05M base salary and up to $1.25M in incentives

If you hate this year you are in for a wild ride next year when Jeffery, DJax and others come off the books, and Kelce possibly retires.

I wonder how many teams are courting Cordy Glenn.

If it's not many you have to wonder why.

I’m going to go with probably not again going with the fact he is dealing with drug possession charges why he is still available....Sure if he becomes available and after suspensions he would sure face he would be signed for a league minimum of lucky

He flipped out on his coach, which is never a great way to garner interest from other teams.

And he hasn't been that good.

Personally I would hope that the team would just give in to Peters (assuming he is being reasonable and only wants bonus money converted to base salary) and let Pryor get some experience at a position he can actually play.

Cordy's had injuries - foot, back, concussion. That "flipping out on his coach" wound up w/ a suspension by the team and a $250,000 - sounds serious

It’s stated Peters wants starting LT money.... My guess he going to want around 10m maybe little more

Cordy's workout could be a smoke screen to get JP to reconsider the money he wants lol

People  were complaining about the Peters injuries lately and now want to sign someone with a similar injury history.

Sigh

Correct me if i'm wrong but he has a base of about 3 mil with 6 mil in possible bonuses.

That puts him pretty close.

If Peters would take the more incentive laden contract that could pay him north of 10m based on his performance/playing time/ playoffs etc. could be worth it but to flat out pay him nah he can stay at G

So 1 PM today is when we can sign people?

1 pm - yes

I’m guessing on the 10m part the avg for LT is actually higher.... But again don’t know what Peters is asking for.

Id think it hard to believe we wouldn’t add extra bonuses for him to make more money so thinking he not ok with that approach which means he just wants more free money.
