How quickly can Tyree Jackson get up and running? Stoll we have a solid reliable blocker. Would be a nice boost to have Jackson contribute some receiving.

Gotta figure they’ll put Jenkins on Goedert if he can suit up. Tough matchup for us. Not one I’d rely on heavily.

Don’t see this matchup as a shootout with the Saints. They have a tough D. Well coached. Allen and Richard both have big experience. Gotta respect their capabilities. I expect they’ll have some wrinkles we haven’t seen. Hopefully they don’t completely expose our offense. Need all three phases to contribute and we could pull out a hard fought close win.

Didn't he play last year when the Saints came?

This is what I would be concerned about if I were you.   To keep it simple,  the Saints already played against Hurts, do they take away the running to the right?   Can their offense not be putrid like the 4 teams that lost to the Eagles.     I wouldn't make it rocket science... these 2 issues are going to be what matters.

https://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2021tlance.php   Garappolo looks fine. Would you trade for Lance???(or Garappolo lol) This would be a move I would consider strongly

The more tape you have on a QB the great Defensive minds will figure out weaknesses. I’d expect they notice a few things. Not just on the QB…but the offense. Line blitz pickups. Tendencies….in so many ways. Formation, down and distance….maybe they figured out an audible pattern. Or the plan of Siri attack. Basically what Siri is reading and having Hurts read. So they show something to force us into a predictable play call. Always going to be bumps in the road. Looks like Siri and Hurts are ready to face these and grow going forward. Nothings a finished product. Just hoping they can recognize and adjust quickly.

Richard and Allen are potentially lethal for a young signal and playcaller. They’ve faced some good ones already….so we’ll see how it goes. I expect one or two terrible outings for the offense ahead. Not good enough to Romo all over everybody. Going to be some ups and downs. Siri really preached hiding his offense from the league. Well now that cat’s way out the bag. Dc will adjust. Siri will have to be ready to adjust to the adjustment. Never ending game of the NFL.

He hid it so well even the team couldn't see it. He hid it for 8 weeks!!! 🤣🙄

He got his welcome to the NFL moment. Responded pretty well though. I wasn’t a fan of the hire….but am willing to give him a chance to show more. I can be a little patient.

IDK did he turn the HC job over to Hurts for 8 weeks while he studied pro offenses? The first 8 weeks was college baloney. I mean if Siri is that far behind,we have along way to go

It's not the tape... it's the experience being on the field with the player that is different.   Dallas was the first team so far... that didn't work too well.  Let's see going forward as we will have the Saints, Dallas and Washington twice ( even though it without Young)

LMAO, what's he supposed to say? "Howie was an idiot for drafting this guy?" Gotta spin while the spinning is good .

If you were smart you’d say no thank you to the job if you can’t succeed. OC in the NFL is a great job.

The experience is a bonus. Everybody has their weaknesses. The tape is huge. DeVonta has his things that somebody will figure out. Then can he adjust. Playcalling for the OC and the DC is always adapting and changing. The ebb and flow. You selfscout and surprise and then somebody shows you things you didn’t even know about yourself. The can you adjust? That’s the hardest part! Overcoming….or at least covering up for your weakness is what makes you starter  NFL level. Coach and player!

It’s always the tape. You see percentages of what works. Figure out chinks in the armor. Whether it’s how to attack the audible, the blocking scheme….the QB….the Playcaller. It’s a constant battle. One thatBellicheat tends to win on. Adjusting quickly makes you a pro. Having your weakness exposed as a player takes a bunch of hard work to overcome. Very few elite studs that can overcome everything with athleticism. Most have to face their weakness snd adjust….or even overcome. Feeling like Siri, Hurts and Smith about to be exposed to this. Great D minds they about to face. These guys going to test all in the O. QB, RB, and yes…coaching.

Again... before we make a simple thing complicated to try and make ourselves sound smart.... let's see the simple result of how teams that have already experienced the running ability of Hurts play against him.   There are things that " tape " doesn't really give a true feel for.  It's obvious you want to take the responsibility away from the QB....  omg he can change out of a play call...QB 101 stuff.... when they have to talk about the basic stuff and act like it's unique, that's a red flag to me.

To me that’s the QB being the voice of the playcalling HC. So yes,..,,that’s huge! Half a season in…..let’s see how things evolve. I expect some bumps. But can these guys adjust and overcome?

It’s the vision. QB and offensive playcaller. The QB executes what the coach sees. They gotta learn that communication. Takes years usually. Same with WR and QB. Think we seeing all this blossom. Expect some bumps in the road coming. Can they overcome them? That’s the real question.

Everyone needs to relax. Hurts played well last week. Did we see him come from behind this season? No. Did we see him carry the team on his back when needed? No. He played great when we were able to run the ball. I need to see more. I need to see him pass to the 2nd or 3rd option more often. Smith is open on almost every play. I need Siri to give Smith at least 10 targets a game. If the Eagles can win 3 or more games, maybe we keep Hurts another season. That may be a good thing because it will allow HR to have the opportunity to draft some starters. N.O. will be a good test for this team....

And that is the key right there

Correct ASG. That is why we need to see more. What happens when we cannot run the ball? What happens when we need a score at the end of the game? Those are key situations we need to see Hurts in. How does he respond? We know he can manage the game if we can run the ball effectively.

What is "success" taking a 4 win team to 6? Now that Siri is here I want to see if the FO actually listens and gets him what he wants in the draft and off season. But knowing our track record that is a pipe dream because Howie knows it all

Amen to this line here. Been preaching it a long time. You can't wait until 1/2 time to adjust. By then the game is becoming out of reach. Must adjust on the fly. Ped sucked at this. Jury is out on Siri

LMAO you are right Joe. Rather annoying that the fact we have a running game was ignored and it seems almost like Siri "Stumbled upon it" rather than KNOW a good running game has always been the key to winning. I also find it annoying when people say "RB's don't matter".They don't until a few go missing??? Your passing offense is freed up by having a running game.It took 8 weeks, but Siri figured that out now? (jebus)
