To me that’s the QB being the voice of the playcalling HC. So yes,..,,that’s huge! Half a season in…..let’s see how things evolve. I expect some bumps. But can these guys adjust and overcome?

LOL no what's HUGE is Siri taking away Hurts running this team on the field. When running plays started actually being called in as opposed to "ok take the snap and decide what to do"(aka RPO college ball) from Hurts we looked ALOT better!!!!! Last 3 weeks have looked like a totally different team

It’s the vision. QB and offensive playcaller. The QB executes what the coach sees. They gotta learn that communication. Takes years usually. Same with WR and QB. Think we seeing all this blossom. Expect some bumps in the road coming. Can they overcome them? That’s the real question.

A 1 read QB doesn't give you much "vision". Hurts is still doing it, difference is with the establishment of the running game guys are now getting throwing windows for Hurts because we aren't 1 dimensional anymore. As soon as teams figure out to load up the left side of their D line to contain Hurts(because he runs to his right and is ineffective running left),he's going to have to progress to the next level(but he still has a weak NFL arm)

Something is going to break in SF. Garappolo won't be happy playing BU and Lance will want to play next year. So one or the other is going away and could be a good opportunity for us. If I'm SF I keep Lance and work a deal for Garappolo, but Jimmy had a great game last night vs the Rams. So SF will have to make a call. I think Jimmy here would fit nicely with our offense since he is used to decent WR's. I'm still not a Reagor fan ,sometimes he does ok,but he is certainly no impact player. I really like Olave from OSU,but that would take our first or 2nd round 1 pick(depending where we end up). Smith and Olave with Quez in the slot is a great set up IMO

What happens when we cannot run the ball?

We saw what happens for 8 weeks lol. It's the "Jalen Hurts show" Now if Sanders is even a semi-stud,I'd like to see him play now that we figured out the running game works like we have all been saying since day ONE

Is this Sanders conteact year?

If so we need to get a good look at Gainwell. If he's good i say let Sanders walk

Everyone needs to relax. Hurts played well last week. Did we see him come from behind this season? No. Did we see him carry the team on his back when needed? No. He played great when we were able to run the ball. I need to see more. I need to see him pass to the 2nd or 3rd option more often. Smith is open on almost every play. I need Siri to give Smith at least 10 targets a game. If the Eagles can win 3 or more games, maybe we keep Hurts another season. That may be a good thing because it will allow HR to have the opportunity to draft some starters. N.O. will be a good test for this team....

Yes we have seen him come from behind. He did it just last game against the Chargers.

That's fundamental...like a point guard being able to dribble.

Can the QB play at an NFL level...that's the question the rest of us have.

And that is the key right there

The key to me is....4 wins when the other teams offense was horrible.   The one win last year when the Saints couldn't do anything offensively in the first half.

There will need to be wins when the other team has even just an average offensive game.  Now it's 14 games so far... really only 9 opportunities to win a game where the other team's offense wasn't brutal.   So I want to see probably double the sample size... either way DONT SPEND BIG ON QB yet!!!!

Correct ASG. That is why we need to see more. What happens when we cannot run the ball? What happens when we need a score at the end of the game? Those are key situations we need to see Hurts in. How does he respond? We know he can manage the game if we can run the ball effectively.

What happens when the other team can actually score too? Biggest question for me.

Well the Sixers have one who can't shoot

Oh you mean the game we lost?

Agreed. There are also some nice RB's who will get pushed WAY down in this draft,so it would not shock me if we drafted another one LATE for the pick value

No, that was the defense

Pity I can't laugh and "like" this post at the same time

So you want that from your QB?

Aren’t we like the fifth best rushing team? If we can’t run the ball we are in trouble.

Already has

More like a point guard running the offense the way coach wants it done.

It’s amazing the pressure having a sizable leadcreates. Let’s the defense tee off!

Hurts still did his part. Near flawless. Converted two third downs with his legs. Completed four passes downfield. Got everybody in position, read the D….and boom scored the TD! Hurts can’t play D too. The D just couldn’t get off the field. Hurts is a Gamer! No doubt in my mind there.

We are the 11th ranked scoring team. Question solved!

You guys cry cry cry about the QB….this will be a top ten scoring team by the end of season.

Our problem is defense. Some of that seems to be getting sorted out even.

I guess you're not into sarcasm

Rushing per game perhaps.

It's a shame they didn't realize that until the season was half over.

Linebacker makes an appearance in the needs section this week. It only seems right for a team that hasn't spent a top-100 pick on the position since 2015.

I knew it was bad but not this bad.
