Sadly, I think Hurts plays well enough that we by pass the QB position. Joe gets his wish and maybe it's for the best. Build the team up. But if we do that we will go to. 500 which will keep us out of a top QB prospect later, unless we sell the farm to buy a barn like we did with Wentz

Ham, This week will be a true test for the Offense. NO has the best Rushing defense in the league. This means the Eagles will have to win by Throwing the ball down the field. The good thing is NO doesn't have a QB so maybe the defense can keep this game close. For me, the performance of Hurts is most important this week. I need to see growth. He does not have to stand on his head, just make his reads and find the open WR. Make the throws when they are there. Let Smith go after a couple 50-50 balls like he did last week. If they lose 30-21I will not care as long as Hurts shows me promise. On the flip side, if they win and Hurts plays poorly, I will be disappointed.

   Hurts has shown glimpses of good play. This could be another step in the right direction if he can show up this week. Right now I think he is coming back next year based on his play to date. This game will go a long way for the front office on their decision making for 2022..... After this week, they have 5 games against weak opponents in a row. I can see them winning 2 of them, possibly 3....

We are down 4 with 8 seconds left. We are 57 yards away from the EZ. Can Hurts put up a hail mary? And although that's nothing to base a QB on, it's still a play an NFL caliber QB needs to have in his arsenal. SHOW ME the MONEY

OH that big blowout in Detroit worked wonders to pad those stats(lmao). Did we have the easiest schedule in the league? We dont play anyone after the Aint's. I'm sticking to my 6 win prediction. The last game where Dullaz kicks our arse again will be a nice reminder to Howie that he "needs to do better"

BTW in the '23 draft there 2 nice QB's already in Young (Bama) and Stroud(OSU).I think Joe gets his wish and we hit QB in 2023. Use all the picks to build up the team. if Howie ignores defense again this year I will be seriously ticked off. not to say we won't snag a QB for competition. The other hand tells me with this many high picks,the time to hit QB is NOW,so we shall see what we do. I think RBs matter...because I think players matter.    Where I differ from most is that I think you get 3 solid RBs and it's enough.   I don't think the stud is as important to winning as a lot of people do. 

Idk if they " stumbled " on the running game.  I think match-ups and game circumstances are a factor.  I also don't think that Sanders is a guy they trust...as far as anything significant.... they haven't for 3 years now.

Sizeable lead usually comes from BOTH the defense and offense having early success.     Acting like... OK, now we can tee off on the QB is not really a good way to look at it.   The game starts 0-0. You have to score, but also get stops at that stage in order to get your Dream Team philosophy lead.

My issue with you..and a lot of fans.   You waited 8 weeks for Wentz to make a big mistake.... yet Hurts could make a few plays and it overshadows his bad play.     The bar is the same in the end for all QBs.   We have to judge it honestly.  Good and bad in total.

So the problem is defense.   We won games where they held teams to 6, 6, 13 and 18 points.     Congrats to your boy at QB for outscoring those opponents.    To me, you won't win a title by only winning those games.  Doesn't even need to be a major shootout...  can he win a game when the opposition scores 3 TDs?     If you want to use the Saints game last year as an example... that's a bad one.  They didn't start playing until the 2nd half. He almost lost it at the end... a dropped pick 6 and his fumble. 

When he plays a complete game vs a team that is also competent offensively... and pulls out a win.   That would be the first.  Then we can start from there.

Have you criticized one thing about him since he started?   Like a tangible thing...nothing from a movie about same page, leadership,  getting a feel...etc.   like an obvious bad throw or bad read,bad decision?  One where you don't really need experience or intangibles.   I haven't seen it yet.   And there has been plenty of opportunities.
