I think RBs matter...because I think players matter.    Where I differ from most is that I think you get 3 solid RBs and it's enough.   I don't think the stud is as important to winning as a lot of people do.

Idk if they " stumbled " on the running game.  I think match-ups and game circumstances are a factor.  I also don't think that Sanders is a guy they trust...as far as anything significant.... they haven't for 3 years now.

I agree, look what happened to the Titans(and my fantasy team) when their entire offense was ONE GUY. We usually had a nice mix of different RB styles, this is the first year I saw 3 clones and a guy on the PS that should have hit the roster immediately. And BTW Howard is not an "old man". He seems ok as far as resiliency goes, so why not sign him to a 2 year deal? I suppose we won't IF we are going to re-sign Sanders. But Joe ,I need to see Sanders more behind a decent O line. Last year he was behind a pathetic 4th string line and this year the running game was abandoned for 8 weeks straight. SO really I'd like to see him play NOW to know what we really have there.if he is no better than Scott and Howard we can trade him or just turn him loose

I don't need to see it and I'll explain why.   It's not that I doubt Sanders is a solid RB.  I just don't think he will make the big difference in winning and losing to where it's worth paying him.   I don't think it's coincidence that 3 years now they haven't made him a work horse.. and also 3 years he has been hurt.

For fantasy football,  I could see people needing him to get more touches,  for winning games for the Eagles the argument is more that the entire RB group needs the ball more.  We've seen success without Sanders.  My assumption is that same success would be there,  I don't think they would be worse.  Just don't see how they would be better than what they showed the last 3 weeks in terms of running the ball.  It's been good enough, the big factor would be how the passing game would improve to match the running game.

In my view I feel it's more important to sign Howard than Sanders. He is that 3rd and 2/goal guy you need(Gainwell will be fine later)

All of the above. I had a win over the Jets though. Gotta move my meter to 5 wins now. Hey, it’s AWESOME to watch them win. Can they beat ANY of the good NFC teams? NO. Then what’s the point to win a few more games? Fun for us. I guess that’s enough.

Beat Carolina and Atlanta the two teams we are battling with for a playoff spot

And then there was the 2nd half.

My issue with you..and a lot of fans.   You waited 8 weeks for Wentz to make a big mistake.... yet Hurts could make a few plays and it overshadows his bad play.     The bar is the same in the end for all QBs.   We have to judge it honestly.  Good and bad in total.

Sure there is….30 mil vs 1.8 mil. That bad part is you’re judging the 1.8 mil guy based on the team effort while we are paying the thirty mil guy to play in Indy.

Have you criticized one thing about him since he started?   Like a tangible thing...nothing from a movie about same page, leadership,  getting a feel...etc.   like an obvious bad throw or bad read, bad decision?  One where you don't really need experience or intangibles.   I haven't seen it yet.   And there has been plenty of opportunities.

Sure have. But you don’t want to hear my honest criticism. I’ve been most critical about him setting his feet, squaring snd stepping into his throws. Fixable fundamentals. What I see going wrong on many of his worst throws.

No need to go crazy on Howard. Ask him back after this season if he makes it through ok. About all that’s needed. No need for a big contract or anything. Sanders we have fir another year. Then can decide on that third season from now whether to resign or tag.

Sanders is an elite weapon. Need him being complimented with Howard and it should be fantastic!

Sanders should have tons of tread on his tires. Most underused starting back I’ve seen. Howard we are just going game by game with to see what he has left.

St Louis is really battling the NFL. They might win back an expansion team. I’d expect if the league expands they’d add two teams. Who else would be on deck? My first thought is London.

Davion Taylor was wearing a huge leg brace at practice today.

I'm judging on the field... always judge the play on the field... it's all that matters.  All the plays not just some of the good or bad.

Because he doesn't have the arm strength.   In the 2021 NFL you have to make throws where you don't have the time or space to get all the footwork correct.   It's not " big arm"  it's average arm now.  51 yards in a full wind up isn't good.

That's good trade bait for Sanders IMO.  He won't ever wear himself out because he gets hurt every year without carrying a load.    We could probably swindle a 2nd round pick from some GM.  If not, I would think a 3rd.

There is nothing elite about Sanders.    A pinch  hitter goes 3 for 9.... doesn't mean he is an elite hitter because of the. 333 average.   The results of the last few weeks should show you this.  They can have good success without him.

Shouldn't Brooks be coming back soon?

Gotta say Chamtheman yours was one of the ONLY voices supporting Hurts and this coaching staff when most of us Myself included ...knowing we had a TRUE ROOKIE Coaching Staff and Rookie QB...my expectations were that we unrealistically STILL should have beat teams like KC...TB...that Hurts and Siranni were gonna take the league by storm...those losses were hard .I should have anticipated Growing Pains but I got greedy...Thanks for reminding me to recognize the team building process in play...It STINKS ... ALL the NEW SHAMELESS ...Hurts supporters ...ALL National Media lovin Hurts ...stinks. He last 5 weeks he was nothing but a BU...NOW we MIGHT be a playoff team...Still tooooo early IMO.

That's interesting we have NOT heard much about Brooks...OL has been performing...with the rook Driscoll....Hell does Howie even want Brooks back..Maybe...if we are positioned to get a playoff berth? Hmmmmm...money, money, moonneeyyy.

He's already paid for this year.

Even if he's a backup it'd be nice to have the depth

Avg. 5 yards a carry isn’t elite??? Think Sanders if a very good runner given the opportunity could be up there

They haven’t activated his practice window yet. I’d think he’d be a huge boost to this Oline down the stretch.
