BG, not that I disagree with you but 9 winning teams yesterday averaged 164 yards passing. Or close to that... Eagles were not the only team limiting their QB. Wentz passed for much less than Hurts... Of Course their RB was Mr universe yesterday!

Jonathan Taylor yesterday…he’s been that every week. Taylor is having an amazing season!

This offense screams Baltimore to me and as flashy as the Ravens can be and dominate when the ground game falters and it does and they are forced to rely on passing the team seems to crumble hoping the same doesn’t go for us

Yep.  Eventually, some team is going to play the run tighter and dare Jalen to beat them with his arm.  If they can do that, that will become the blueprint on how to stop this offense.

And just like the Eagles running game has made Hurts better the Colts running game has made Wentz better.

This trade just might turn out to be a win  win

2017 didn’t we only have Celek as a blocking TE the other TEs were Ertz and Burton neither guy were strong blockers.

Burton was like the FB piece...  Celek the guy on the line.   With Ertz, you didn't get any of that.   He works best in that 3 WR set, really causing a mismatch in the passing game.  Which worked when they had to go small to defend that package.  We could run either way... 2 TEs with Ertz though, never worked running the ball.

Any team can have a let down my friend. All it takes is for them to take the next opponent lightly. Your opinion that they shouldn't be taking anyone lightly bears merit. Question is, Will they?

Or will they just not be good enough?   Also possible... very much so at this point.

As the weather gets worse... you would think that happens.  Also when it's lose and go home, teams focus more than when it's just one out of 16 or 17 regular season games.    See Baltimore the last few years.

I was thinking AZ was heading down that path, but the team they built there,  and the way their QB has emphasized his passing over his running, certainly makes them more of a threat come playoff time.

Boom!!! Remember when I said last year Reagor sucked, but I would give him another year? That's NOW, his time is UP. Get me Olave/Wilson(and as I said before lose this one trick pony loser). I would actually rather see Ward play

Was RPO city yesterday

Are you sure,or were running plays called in without letting Hurts make the decision? I believe it was PLAY ACTION. I,however did not see the game

Sure, but when you MUST pass, our QB is "average" and nothing to go insane crazy over. Wentz can launch them, deep, with accuracy,Hurts cannot,so lets not confuse "the running game took over" because that happens but with our QB cannot make the deep plays when NEEDED,and yes that difference matters. A "little thing" that matters. I can't see Hurts launching a hail mary from 60 yards out. Wentz looks good and comfortable in Indy.Another eff by Howie. Imagine(if you will) Wentz with Smith, Quez and JJ

The Game this week screams out to me "Let Down"! We just beat up on a solid NO defense. NYG are reeling so we may take them lightly, which would be a mistake. They are getting Barkley back. They always play us tough. IF the Eagles keep to their game plan and run the ball like they have been there should be no problem..... Should be.......

Look at the scores every week. Teams that should be beating up on others are not only losing, but getting smashed! Tennessee lost to Houston? Indy kicked Buffalo's butt!

Here is hoping the Eagles keep on the path.

Bark may not be 100% and their WR's have been beat up since week 2 and probably are not 100% either. We used to always have Eli's number. Our pass rush always got to him,now I would like to start the same tradition with Jones. SO far I am disappointed in our pass rush for the most part and I am wondering without Slay(if he is out) what they can do to our secondary

He runs right,he can't throw going left. if teams forced him to run left he's done

I love a balanced attack, and while I love a good RB,that cannot be your whole offense. We see how the Titans fall apart without Henry(that killed my fantasy squad too lol). At this point you could say the same about the Saints not have Kamara, and while it was a nice win vs a decent defense, they could never get anything done offensively to put any pressure on us without Kamara. Add to that a 3rd string QB and it's not hard to see why we won this one. I'm still thinking ARod ends up in New Orleans

The last sentence is key to your post!

Mailata great pick, Quez great pick, and I'm going to assume that Dickerson and Gainwell will be also, and we know Smith was(he was my first round 1 pick) offsets some of Howies bad picks a bit. Still, using people on this board we would have a nice team built by now

So Siri turned Hurts loose to make the calls?(RPO) or was he executing PLANNED running plays?

Play action would be for passing right?  You saw the passing #s.   I'm not a college football watcher, so  don't know the exact lingo....etc.  but to me when the QB is in shotgun, puts the ball in the belly of the RB for a second and then looks to " read" the DE, I thought that was read option?    Hurts did it beautifully yesterday.

That is the definition of the read option for sure… Hurts then has the control to hand off keep it himself or pass(if the pass option is part of the design)

Be curious if Siri and Co. took the pass out of some of the option plays though… So designed run all the way but still Hurts control as to whether it’s to the RB or him keeping it… Pair that with the usual RPOs defense can’t just assume it’s a run even though it is completely

Reminder to all:

Siri's Presser at 2:45 today. Don't forget to watch this eye popping report! Rock paper scizzors......

Will be curious as to what this team does if they sneak into the playoffs… I mean I don’t think we go anywhere but how would this change the FO opinion of the team???

Could be the worst possible situation for the no QB group on here I mean we make the playoffs can’t pass seem to be an easy sell for Howie to then go all in on a QB whether that be a rookie or a vet like Wilson

Passing is an option. Just curious as to if the running plays were called in or if Hurts made the choices. I guess we'll never know

If it's me, no go. I will wait for the '23 draft for Young or Stroud. 2 possible "franchise" QB's. I don't see one this year

Idk about Hurts " emergence"  he was a great running QB from the start.

But I would add... is it coincidence the running game stepped up after Ertz was traded?   The 2 TE sets now have 2 TEs that can run block.

2017 was the last time we saw this kind of running.   Two things in common... a solid committee approach at RB... and blocking TEs.

Maybe emergence isn't the right word but since they started running the ball Hurts completion % has gone up abput 10%

He isn't asked to put the team on his back to get a win so he appears more comfortable

13/24 for 147 is not good(that was yesterday)
