more important is I feel the Front office will not mortgage the farm to grab a QB this year if we continue to win. We will have 3 first round picks and might trade back to grab another in 2023.

All will make for 3 solid playersnext draft, possibly 4-5 if Howie drafts well.... That is a big IF

13/24 for 147 is not good(that was yesterday)

He isn't asked to put the team on his back to get a win so he appears more comfortable

My question is still what happens when the game is going to be decided on his passing??? What happens when the run game doesn’t work???

Are we going to end up like Baltimore???

Well now there's the question, isn't it.

If we make the playoffs you don’t think the FO and howie would mortgage picks to get Russell Wilson???? Doesn’t have to be the draft to get the QB

I mean 2022 seems like the prime year for our FO to be aggressive and go for a QB if anything

I'm holding out for Young or Stroud in '23

I really don't mind the 147. We were running well,no need to throw, the 13/24 is what bothers me more

Maybe I think differently then most but I’d rather give up two first this year and still have a first over waiting a year then giving up our first sing he next 3 drafts.

Not sure what the FO does I personally and a huge fan of Kenny Pickett and think we could get him at whatever pick Miami gives us.

But really the move I think that should be most feared is Russ if he becomes available

That is the definition of the read option for sure… Hurts then has the control to hand off keep it himself or pass(if the pass option is part of the design)

And I thought an issue earlier was that with these plays where a pass is an option, it has to be done quickly before the OL gets downfield ( as they are basically run blocking)  and Hurts was slow to pass and caused the illegal lineman downfield?

I think with him, the fact he can run it himself puts that extra indecision in the mix when it comes to a decision to pass it.  This is the part that I feel can be the negative as far as the receivers not getting the ball enough and slow down their development.

Yeah we differ. I think Hurts is "adequate" while we rebuild the team. I would rather spend the round 1 picks on getting players we can have for the next decade especially on defense(although I would like Reagor replaced). CB,LB,DT DE would be at the forefront for me

Was an issue early in the season for sure… Be curious if we dumbed it down some now ie read option is runs and we do similar motion for PA passes but everyone knows it’s pass on offense.

Lots are variations could be used lol

Yep. Something changed because before they were holding for the RPO and now they are opening holes for the running game. This leads me to believe the RPO is OUT and running plays are being called in taking the decision making away from Hurts(mostly)

RPO-linemen count to 5(or 4,3 or whatever they use) then head downfield (as they assume the QB is running now) Those penalties have stopped because now they are opening running lanes and not staying back to pass block

IDK bro,you wanna sell the farm for a 32 year old QB that you're going to pay BIG? I feel that is going BACKWARDS. We have a young team going and we need a young QB to grow with them

Got nothing to do with what I’d want to do the question is what would Howie and Co. do

Yep.  Eventually, some team is going to play the run tighter and dare Jalen to beat them with his arm.  If they can do that, that will become the blueprint on how to stop this offense.

The Saints and Broncos knew what was coming. Top rundefenses….still couldn’t stop it.

Still used the RPOs. Hurts is still making the decisions. That’s why I said listen to the presses. Siri was very impressed with Hurts audible and reading defenses.

You mean to say Siri was happy Hurts was letting the running backs run. 13/24 is not a good passing day. If he can't hit 60+%( i don't really care what the yardage is) he is in the wrong business. 13/24 seems to say he made the decisions, but he cannot execute them. The defense made things easy for him yesterday. Hurts is a RB who can throw sometimes

I still feel the bigger issue is just staying behind Houston and Detroit who I think both would look at QB if one was there.  That means more than using one pick. I thought the Miami trade was great, didn't think they were going to be a playoff team.. they started worse than I thought,  but don't see them in the bottom 3 or 4... Eagles same.  So that means using more than one pick to get a QB if we gotta move up.  To me, that's the worst case.  So if winning a few games eliminates that, then great.   Really if we end up with picks 18, 19 and 20... I'm good, just want 3 first rounders and don't use any on QB.    2 picks and a trade back seem ideal.

And if you move on from Hurts, the decision has to be a clear one.

I have to be honest... I'm not seeing this at all.   I don't think the linemen were staying back to pass block on the RPO ..or they wouldn't have been downfield.  I just think the OL is blocking better with improved health and experience with the young guys, and the committee approach to the running, and losing Ertz poor blocking, the scores of the games and just running more...  all are factors, but I don't see the movement of the OL as being different?

Reason, they started downfield because Hurts was holding the ball too long, but yeah, they were pass blocking.Once the "clock in their head" went off, they started downfield because after that time they assumed Hurts was running

I think the FO would definitely go after Russel Wilson. Don’t think he has any desire to be an Eagles though.

This really comes down to how the league decided to really put an emphasis on officiating this much harsher this season. But you aren’t throwing but so quickly in an RPO. Usually reading the DE for RB or QB run FIRST….by definition, right? Pass being the third read.

Except you’re just reading the stats. Not seeing that he made several fantastic plays with his arm that were negated by drops and penalties and such. Huge offensive pass interference call and drop yesterday.
