What about Pittsburgh?

I honestly just picked the teams that were in the Watson trade market… Pitt could be in the mix but are they a better spot the us???? Cap strapped team meh OL, WRs are not special and Juju is set to be a FA. Decent D.

He is in the jumbo package, doing what he does best.... block!

yeah but imagine him running with the ball

Does anyone else on here think the DC wants to go 3-4? At least have the ability to do so.....

If so, LB will be a huge part of the next draft.

No I think he wants a 43 but I do think LB is key to what he wants to do just looking at two former teams he has coached under being Minnesota and Indy both having some stud LBs

I image a guy hitting him low the general practice for tackling big guys in the nfl

Loser mentality…..draft can’t help you

Maybe not with Howie, but if you turned me loose in the war room we'd get some good guys. Loser mentality is thinking we have a QB for the next decade. Loser mentality is thinking every year is a WIN NOW year instead of planning for sustained greatness. Loser mentality is striving to reach .500 and being happy about it. Loser mentality is page 1289

We seem to be drafting those "hybrid" LB's. IDK if that continues

Who blocks for him?    Can that guy knock down 2 guys with one arm each on the same play?

He doesn't need anyone blocking, he'll just knock them over.

Hard to hit a guy low from the 1 with blockers in front of him

He won't knock anyone over with the ball, they will already be diving at his knees.

I think this play would be the new "Philly Special" if we ever get to the SB again.

Didn't work on Perry much lol

Give it up. I suggested they try it just once as a gimmick and Joe went crazy.... There is no doubt that Mailata is a force at OT. But I doubt anyone could stop him from getting a yard straight up the gut. There is little chance of injury when running there as opposed to off tackle or outside, so I saw no issue. I was not talking about doing it every game. I just thought it would be fun to see it one time....  Anyway, It appears Joe is on the right end here. I doubt they do it....

It's easy to hit a guy low... he scores a TD before getting carted off.

I don't want to see this during the season, but would be a cool surprise play if we ever hit the big dance again.I would save it for that

Didn't work in rugby

I have never seen a RB get hurt in this manner running straight up the gut behind blockers. I am fairly certain we will never see it either. Those low tackles happen off tackle and on sweeps to the outside where there is no one to block in front of you.....

Thats all I wanted too. I was the first to mention that and got bashed back then also. But as a "philly Special" in the SB I would give it a shot. They can run this play 30 seconds a practice and have it saved lol

You know what was fun... watching a young OT block 2 guys with one arm each.  You know what is more fun... watching him keep doing it while the guys we pay to carry the ball run behind him.

If he is unstoppable, then he should be able to push guys in the end zone even better when he doesn't have to worry about carrying the ball.

lol sure they do,they do whatever it takes to bring you down

Neither have defenses. It's ONE play Joe in a special situation,we're not saying to do this twice a game lol

IDK I remember the fridge.everyone knew what was coming and still couldn't stop him. I think trucking some guys would put a smile on his face

When did you ever see anyone tackle diving at the knees in rugby?   They don't have pads, they tackle differently.
