Right.... players make the difference, not the uniform.   Can't take for granted players like Graham and Cox.

Going to be a top priority this next draft. I’d say going to take an Oline and two Dline with our first four picks. Kind of leaves one wild card. LB or DB you’d think.

Hit a bump in the road. Feels like the Giants had a good scout and plan on us. Gotta adjust….again. Got the Jets and the bye. Just focus on getting the Jets. Think then you can really self scout properly and adapt. Always a constant. We just aren’t overtalenting anybody. Howard and Sanders out made our backfield limited by mediocrity. Gainwell could have been used more….but he’s more just complimentary. Scott just isn’t special. Pretty reliable and near serviceable. Hurts ran for ten yards a pop. He’s a first down converting dude.

I’m questioning whether Quez is injured snd not really having his wheels. Not sure if Reagor can overcome this. Ward is only good for that one repairable catch. His drop makes me wonder about his roster spot. Hurts trusts him. But think I’d just bump up Hightower at this point. Nothing to really lose in that exchange. JJAW gaining some relyability credibility. Make that catch. Block and ST…..dog duties he embraces. Good message for  others. Stoll really fits. Guy is solid with his grasp and positioning. Could use him to get a catch or two also. Not in the scouting report….so should surprise and be there.

What’s up with Tyree Jackson? Really feels like an opening for him here. Team is carrying noncontributors. Herbig came in at C. Came back in at G. Wasn’t all great but was very involved. He’s got to clean things up though. Need him technically sound. He’s not destroying people. So need him just doing his job.

With Sanders we had 64 yards on 9 carries.

Scott we lost the special and got 64 yards on 15. Just didn’t get it in the passing game either.

With Howard out we are in need this next game with the Jets of something. Hopefully Sanders can contribute something. Think it’s his same ankle so…..just came back to early. Can’t blame the guy seeing what he was seeing once he went down. Really puts us in a tough position.

Sanders had one big run where he wasn't touched... Scott could have done that.. not really special.  Didn't lead to any points.  You could argue the best run of the day was Scott getting his TD called back on an unnecessary penalty. That was the best run as far as the RBs doing something.    QB is an outstanding runner, that was on display again, along with the lack of NFL arm.

Should be priority the next couple of drafts... and a free agent priority in 2023.   This isn't a one offseason fix.  And your post is my exact issue with the drafting of the last 3 decades or so....   yes they need these positions, and yes they may be  theoretically more important than other spots... but do I pass up a playmaker on offense or LB or S in round 1 if they are the best player?   You have holes... plenty... take the better player so they get filled.  The order of positions shouldn't be a priority, take it as it comes.

I think this draft lines up well with it. Got Milton already in the mix. He’s shown versatility to move around the line. Drafted a run stopper in Tuilopo. Both these guys needed that year of NFL bulking. Got the Coastal Carolina edge rusher. Seems like they use Kerrigan flailing instead of him right now. Just can’t see us not getting Dline early. Edge rusher is all but guaranteed. We just paying Goedert, Mailata, Sweat, Maddox….hit that core. Got this past draft going forward. So yeah….think this team adds some quick contributing talent the first two days and we get dangerous. Add in a FA or two.

So yeah….I think we are on our way with the youth movement.

I mean, you can't get older without spending money... the " youth movement " isn't really a choice at this point as much as it just has to happen.    And they will absolutely draft DL early....it's what they do.   Just don't want them to force it instead of getting a better player if one is available elsewhere.

That's cause he is  a RB who can throw a little, but you STILL don't believe me lol

I would be fine adding him to the RB room when we find a QB

I would have NP replacing Reagor. He is an unreliable slow learner with a STILL limited route tree. he was overhyped in the draft and I know it. I had him in mid-late round 2. Wilson from OSU is an excellent route runner as is Smith. I would love to have those 2 together so when we find a QB he has tools already in place. Reagor and Quez can be rotated. If he is the BPA when we pick I snag him or Olave. I hate spending a high pick on another WR, but that would complete the WR corps IMO.If either is gone then defense all the way with our first 4. I'm wondering if we'll ever see Dickerson at center as that is his natural position, although he is tall for a center

Not likely this season playing well at LG. Depending what Kelce decides in the off-season  I could see us moving him to C(or possibly Semaulo)

DeVonta Smith and Quez Watkins were easily top 2 WRs yesterday in snaps. Smith played 61, Watkins played 55. Both over 80% of total snaps
Reagor played only 45 snaps (67%). Issue is he lead the team in targets

Would seem to indicate Reagor wasn't big part of game plan going in

My take from that tweet Smith and Watkins weren’t getting open Reagor with less snaps was getting open(wasn’t catching the ball though)

Ultimately the QB decides who he passes the ball to.   Last year the QB got blamed for everything except the Kennedy Assassination.... this year it's unbelievable the extent the media and some fans go to other places for blame.

Staring down Reagor on the weakly thrown long pass,  not understanding the clock on the INT at the end of the half ( classic "HERO BALL" ) , A flat out awful read on his first INT where he should have easily seem the defender.   Every time we all thought they should have kept running more, the idea was that the former QB changed the run play to a pass play.

It's the same sport,  same position, Ultimately they have the same responsibilities.  Race,  religion, height,  political affiliation, whatever their favorite cereal is... none of that matters, in the end, they all still have to do the same job.

I said about week 3 I believe, that I saw ZERO growth from Hurts. I still don't see it. I think this is the best Hurts we will see. If we surround him with enough talent we can be a .500 club like we always are. Drafting pass dropping WR's seems to be one of Howies strengths. How is it people on this board can locate the TOP talent and Howie cannot?? They DO well with LATE picks, guys I have never heard of and alot of those pan out to at least solid depth players, but Howie really has issues seeing top rated talent. I had Hurts as a mid-late 3 BU pick. I think that's where he ultimately ends up(at our expense). I still think if Wilson/Olave are there when we pick(probably our 2nd round 1 pick),I would go there. I know we need defense, but getting one of them would complete the WR corps(aka check off that box). Then in '23 we find a QB who can actually throw to these top ranked WR's(still imagining JJ ,Smith  and Quez with a decently accurate QB with an arm)

What was impressive to me was the fact we WON the battle of inept 🙄. We gave that all we had 🤣 Truly a stunning display of how bad this team is .I now have serious doubts about Siri. It seems he is in over his head and the water is rising. you can knock Hurts INT's(and I will) you can knock Loser Reagors drops(and I will) and the spin where he just brushed them off as "oh well maybe next week".This shows me a coach who is clueless and is allowing mediocity and even CR*P to be blown off as "oh well we're new". That BS only goes so far and we are 3/4 into this season and they still have no clues. Nice hire Howie/Lurie(you IDIOTS). I don;t even watch pressers anymore. it's the same BS over and over. Hurts sucks, Reagor sucks, Siri sucks and Howie is too egotistical to say "I made a mistake and I will fix it". Maybe some refreshing TRUTH and humility would do the fans good. I know it would me

I’m giving benefit of the doubt he was throwing to the open guy which was Reagor lol didn’t do a play by play breakdown to see it.

Of course the QB decides who to throw to but like to think the QB would throw to the open player not a hard concept.

I'm calling Hurts "Noodle-roni" from now on. Just sad. I'm wondering what vids Howie was watching. Could he not see the weak arm? Or is the FO SOOOOO into college ball they want that here????(Chip,Ped,now Siri). I think it's high time we hired a professional coach

They really seemed to have those guys doubled. Refs let them get away with a bunch of grabbing in coverage also. They had a real good idea of what our O looks like.

I’m not overreacting to this one game. Beat the Jets. Then get a chance to really self scout again and adapt over the bye week for the home stretch.

And??? If the refs let them play who cares that exactly what playoff football looks like if the WRs have issues getting open with some grabbing and jockeying for position we are in trouble

Serious question do you sit hurts depending on the ankle??? His biggest asset is his run ability if he is hobbled even little it really hurts him(pun not intended)…

Also risk him injuring the ankle more if he try’s and guts it out. Not sure how bad the ankle is but they talking already him questionable vs the jets

Absolutely!  Let's see what the O looks like with Stache.
