The way this roster is shaping up, our Birds can no longer be accused of lacking speed . Both sides of the ball this team is fast.

Just don't want to get drawn into extracurricular stuff today. Having too much fun watching Huntleys' highlight reels! Guy can catch, sheds tackles, moves well and yeah - he's fast

Has fumbling issues but the team has been pretty good at cleaning that up. It was a flaw of Sanders coming out of college that was never an issue here.

No much is known about injuries, but Barnett hasn't practiced at all and Curry has been out since Aug. 25. So even if they make it back for game 1, they will probably be limited. And the team has tried to limit Sweat's snaps due to his knee issues. So I would expect Toohill or Ostman, if he is added to the roster, to get snaps week 1.

But even still one game isn’t going to equate to a ton of snaps on the year... Though I hardly believe if Barnett/Curry/Sweat even at limited snaps all play game one there will be much to spare

Philadelphia is signing 41-year-old QB Josh McCown to its practice squad and making him oldest practice squad player in NFL history, league sources tell ESPN. McCown will live in Texas, make $12,000 a week and serve as the Eagles’ emergency QB.

This isn't April Fools Day is it?

Your earlier quote was about focus on football. Yea, our new young LB crew... got some Burners, Team speed IMO overall has increased. It is a very different model in play with this roster for 2020 than what we're used to seeing.

We're also currently 43 mill over the cap for next yr. We'll handle it, makes it easier if we roll some over like Howie likes to do. At least we ain't the Aints - 70 mill over!

Where are they $70 mil over?

Heard that on NFLN and it was for next yr, which I see is now 32 mill over. Guess they've changed a few things- roster moves? -  and don't keep up with them unless it affects us. Then again was quoting someone on NFLN

I was really expecting this to move faster today

LOL... they made a few moves to lose $38 mil of cap space????   LOL    I usually follow the cap situations, glance a littel bit a couple times a year so I can figure out teams motivations for moves and how things will effect them.  The Saints cap #s have been consistent.  Probably either bad reporting or you didn't understand what they were saying.  S lot of people are confusing the cap " floor"  with the cap limit...etc.

BTW... the thing to really understand about the Eagles ... is that Redoing Wentz's deal is the biggest move they can make to save cap space.  Which means extension for Wentz and or more guaranteed in his pocket .... and also explains the value of Jalen Hurts over the next 4 years at peanuts!!!

"emergency QB"(read between the lines) that and a QB mentor for next to ZIP. Could be a pending move into our coaching staff later

Did a practice draft for my real draft tomorrow(7th pick snake).I picked up some nice guys. Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen,Theilen are my WR's,(Djax is a reserve) Hellaire, Mixon(RB's with Levon Bell as a reserve lol) Ertz is my TE. Wentz is my QB with Aaron Rodgers as a BU, 9ers defense.K is Lutz. I hope there are more morons in the real draft tomorrow With a team like this I could play the matchups every week

We should be announcing guys going on short-term IR pretty soon. That will tell us how we stand going into week 1. My guess is that Avery, Reagor and Parks will be the ones, and they will be replaced by Burnett, Ostman and Williams (I don't think we need another DB to be active, but we are light at DT.)

Edit, I guess it could be Trevor Williams as well, as we are light at outside corner. So a Williams either way.  And LBlanc will take a spot as well.

Doesn’t Avery only have a bruised knee???? Not sure we will IR for that listed as day to day... Parks is likely not 100% sold on Reagor going to IR either he has a 3-4 week injury already been 1 week will be 2 weeks before the first game... Could realistically be ready for game 2 definitely should be back game 3

It's tough to know with injuries since the info is so limited, so I am largely guessing. With Reagor, I would imagine they will be pretty cautious as they won't want to risk him getting injured again. Avery's injury seemed pretty serious at the time, so it's hard to tell when he will be back. But I think with the new rules they will be more apt to put guys on IR, especially if they have someone waiting on deck who is 100 percent.

Reading on Avery they are calling his injury day to day doesn’t sound like IR material but who knows.

Plus the new PS rules help keep guys off IR I’d image why make a guy miss quarter of the season if you don’t have to??? If he is only going to miss say week 1 can just call up a PS guy for a week

Sidney Jones joining Jags PS

Wow, we got Burnett back, nice.

So here's one answer to the IR question.

And the other.

My guess is that one spot goes to LeBlanc and the other to Cordy Glenn (if he's signed) or Burnett, since the team is thin at WR. Burnett could also get called up on gameday, which they will probably need to do with Jeffery and Reagor also unlikely to play.

Djax, Ward, Hightower start at WR?
