The old Ham wouldn't think this way... Basically making playoffs due to other teams being bad...  2018 and 2019 come to mind

I’m thinking it’s a young team getting on a hot streak(if they can do it they’ll have to be).

Started the season so very poorly. But mostly playing a much better brand of football trusting the ground game now.

Is there a team that can stop us running the football? Only ourselves.

It’s also about judging the talent we have.   The judgement gets better the more meaningful the games. Everything on the line….how are we going to play Washington?

Boston College Alec Lindstrom is a good fit for us. Day three starting C that’s known for experienced polished hand placement.

I guess Draftek has him at 69 overall now.

Probably puts us out of the Hutcheson, Thibodeyx, Stingley, Hamilton, Neal, Katlaftis, Wilson, Olave and Linderbsum crowd.

Why I din't want to win anymore(and got bashed)

Derek Carr wound up and chucked it about 55 yards. Two yards short of the end zone. I think there is a myth about all these seventy yard throws happening in the league.

It's a myth in Philly,thats for sure

The defense doesn't seem that young .. Cox, Hargrave,  Barnett, Kerrigan, McCloud, Slay, the other starting safety and CB... Maddox has made the playoffs before a few times along with Sweat.

Lane, Kelce, Goedert all have multiple playoff appearances,  Scott and Sanders made it before.    Seems like the idea is getting Hurts and a couple young WRs into the playoffs just so we can say we made the playoffs is the idea.

I say team that hit a patch in the last month where the competition was pretty pathetic is the difference.   But that is where the Washington games will come into play.  They are pretty much the team you describe... hitting their stride winning 4 in a row with 2 of them being Tampa and LV.     Looking at the Eagles wins.... none of the opponents have 6 wins, all losers.

I think good shot at getting the 8th seed, good thing the draft works opposite though, the opponents record will dictate the order, we should have an advantage there.

I’ve been explaining for a few weeks now. We just needed a split with the Giants. Beat the Jets. Then sweep Washington. It’s not that crazy a thought. Cowboys might not have anything to really play for the last week and rest guys. Seems very likely.

uh......WHY????? Is there a point to losing draft position and going out in the wild card game? HOW do you rebuild by being .500 annually????? You are striving for bronze again????

Vikings were in the way. They actually lost to the Lions. Hurray. Pretty big.

In the way of????

Washington is key.. although if they lose to Dallas, they would also be a sub .500 team when we play them.  Minnesota loss today was hilarious... the fact that it put us as the 7th seed for 5 minutes gets this idea going.  They win, we go to 9th seed and pretty much still looks up hill.

Gotta be willing to slide from 12 to 20 and gain playoff experience finishing on a high.

Oh boy....................

You mean vs the trash D lines we have faced?

I think Bronze would be quite an accomplishment for this new team with new young coaches. Some years that might be an insult. For this team taking on record setting dead money…..it’s a pretty incredible feat.

I would feel this way if it was 2016. The team was younger.  To me right now it's not a young team.  Too many old guys still holding key spots.   But I'm not looking at it as the end of the world if the pick goes from 12 to 19 either.

At this point just curious to see, really it's more telling for Washington, SF and Minnesota than anything with the Eagles.

Right, and then with all the STUD draft picks you lost, you remain .500 for the next decade(like was usually are). Gotta set that bar at .500

Number one run defense in New Orleans. Broncos. I’m not even acknowledging this. We will run the ball on anybody. But we are the only ones that can stop ourselves. If we don’t commit penalties and play disciplined without stupid mistakes.

Are you saying Ham that there is no difference between picks 8,9,14(where we started the day) as opposed to 15,18, 20?

LMAO but they had NO OFFENSE-at ALL. With their D line on the field all game not real hard to run on them when they get gassed. Denver was a nice win,I will give you that one

Sweat, Maddox, first for Slay, Edwards, Taylor, Milton, Dickerson, Mailata, Smith, Gainwell, Sanders, throw in the young backup TEs I hope continue to grow. We are seeing these young DBs starting to contribute or get involved also. Too hard for me to sort through right now. Maybe Epps, maybe Chachere…..who ever works for me.

So out of all the games we have played we played TWO good D lines right?

8 or 9 wins in the pathetic conference is an incredible feat?  With the great timing they had vs their opponents?   Idk. I don't see it.  They have enough vets...but if it will get you to shut up about the coaching that's a plus.  When the idea will be having to pay Hurts $ 40 mil after next year,  we may get normal Ham back

Avery, Tarron Jackson, Patrick Johnson count? They’ve been involved.

Playoff football is different.
