We sucked because of all the injuries. Seems we are repeating that now also, alot hurt today,so I guess we will find out if any young guys have talent

We pretty much haven't been a playoff team since the SB.  We backed in twice... due to brutal conference.... but also why I am annoyed at the organization in the big picture.

1 The GM put the talent on the roster that had to back in...  2.  The coach had to get his team to fight their way in.   3. The QB had Travis Fulgham as his best WR since 2017.

Yet the GM is here, but the coach, QB, DC ( who had to play with 10th string DBs)   the RB coach ( who had injuries galore since 2017) ... they all want to leave.   On top of that you have key players like Jenkins and Ertz wanting out and not leaving on great terms.

But yeah, let's focus on a guy everyone wanted fired a month ago, if he can develop a DB... lol

Next year’s team is at a major advantage to this year’s has been.

We sucked because we signed bad contracts and didn’t use our picks wisely. Plus injuries. Got a new core of our team going forward now. Really got a chance to boost the youth with this next draft. Five players in the first two days is going to infuse this situation. Cheaper…got several fifth year options involved. So freeing up money for FA investment as well.

Wentz wasn't a bad contract, Howie didn't give him crap to work with and forced him out, plus all the injuries. Wentz looks ok in Indy???? Howie has egg on his face about now and is 30 million poorer

Ahh, I think the Eagles are one of the healthiest teams this year. If you want to talk about injuries, check the Ravens’ roster. That is a mash unit of 2nd stringers.

Oh we so disagree on that my man. Big time.

Well we all know it's a top down issue. We can only pretend it's different than it is

Ham is talking about the other contracts... of the guys who were the crap

LOL we don't know that. We have tons of holes to fill(still) and one is at QB

OH ok,but I know he wasn't happy with losing 30 mil on Wentz(neither was I). I think the JP signing and his subsequent stiff arming Howie for T pay(after signing him as a G) was the worst in football(not by amout of money,by the amount of STUPID that entailed)

Yeah they lost a boatload of RB's for sure

because we STOPPED signing old men(aka the pipeline I have been hammering on for YEARS). I'm glad we are doing it. it takes time but nice to see us using the draft and not the FA wire

I mean... you go look at our schedule and tell me how you can get more of an advantage?   Week by week ....

ATL.... new offense.  SF travel Cross country back to back.... Carolina without CMC, Saints without QB,RB and WR..  the Jets as the extra game..  lol.  Even going forward,  we have Washington playing Dallas the week before both times.    Idk if you can have any more advantage in schedule.   Both CA teams coming here.  Lots of advantages this year for sure

We don't have the money to sign old men... it kinda had to stop.

I'm just happy we put up REAL points today, not on fluke plays or pick 6's or slop,we played solid all game

Forced interventions work, I hope Howie learned

Out of 32 teams we had THE easiest schedule

Plus traded for The WR for half a season. Avery maybe getting some  traction in that trade deal. A few other small deals haven’t worked for us either.

Currently the best record teams in the league have the easiest strength of schedule.

Arizona, New England, Green Bay, Tennessee and Tampa Bay….those are the weakest strength of schedules so far.

So Mosely indicated the Jets didn’t prepare for Minshew.

First three drives he was 11 for 11 for 182 yards and 2 TDs.

Hightower is NOT better than Reagor.

Bud I'm not trying to say Hightower is good. But he's made plays in the NFL in his rookie year. At this point he's better than Reagor. That's not hard I'd say there are no worse WRs in the NFL than Reagor right now.

Idk... depends how you look at it.   Dropping passes for one QB vs the other. One could look at it as no big deal if a WR drops a pass for a QB they don't like.   Hightower was pretty bad, dropped balls from the hero.  Reagor did the same for Hurts.   Idk if one is better than the other at this point.  To say so with any confidence seems foolish.

Reagor flat out stinks though. I mean we know this. Id probably say Hightower has a greater number of bigger yard plays but I don't know for sure.

Part of that is because they do not have to play themselves....

So we don't get a top 10 draft pick. Maybe not even a top 15. That means Howie has o do a better job listening to his draft people and less time listening to Lurie (which will be hard).

You can find QB's after pick 10. Desaun Watson - 12th, Lamar Jackson - 32nd and going back further Rodgers.... They do fall. The trick is to draft the best one available and hope he turns out better than what you have at least.

If no QB is there we draft whomever is best at that spot. Just draft starters with the first 4 picks. That will help the team out and make us happier next year....

SO where the hell is the defense?

He's busy hitting that BLOCKING ONLY guy 6/6  NO PICKS!!!!! Hurts SUCKS!!!!

Hurts doesn't suck...he is Different...it's a good thing for him to watch The Stache run this offense.

In a rebuild year(IMO) you need to see these guys in game time environments. It's fine to label them as BU' in practice, but since you suck anyway, why not really analyze what you have so you can replace the ones that aren't going to cut it? This is why I wanted to see Stache play. I want to see more of Gainwell and the other young guys, because playing in a game with pressure is different than practice. If reagor can't step it up,he needs to be benched

Interesting perspective....I still think we are in the playoff hunt..This OL is if not the best definitely one of the best in the game today...historically this is first Eagle team...1st NFL team to average 185 YPG rushing 6 straight games.... Think about this Without Howard, without Scott and NO Jalen Hurts we still ran for over a185 yds. Tops in the league . The Staches performance yesterday puts him in the mix next year Allbeit his outstanding game was against THE WORST team in the league ... The offense seemed to run smoother...Hurts has a better arm IMO. Though the Stache is a better passer...

I would agree that this Coaching staff has not hesitated in the Next Man Up approach putting in the young guys on the field...I like it... our OL is showing the benefit of fresh blood . Idon't think Howie will allow Reagor to be benched as a #1 pick...whatever the role I expect him to be on the field. I feel the young guys are getting more playing than I have seen from any previous Coaching regime. These young Coaches are playing the young guys.

Good post. One thing I disagree with is Hurts arm is not better than Minshew's. They both cannot throw a long ball. Hurts accuracy is much worse. Niether is a starter in this league IMO based by what I saw so far. I think Hurts has better legs and Minshew has the better passing ability. He saw the field and made the throws which we have not seen consistently from Hurts.

80% completion rate is impressive no matter what team you play. Also consider he threw 2  away on purpose...
