Better than Hurts has become a decently high bar now. Third downs conversion rate for him is astonishing. Very quality in the redzone also. Elite running. Really feel like him and Siri are of one. Both going through things together. Had several bumps in the road. But both quality…..even though nobodies first choice.

I can't wait for your take when Hurts is no longer the starter.   Gonna be even more entertaining if we back into the playoffs.   " they are as one, and may no man break this union"   like a preacher. Lol

You got a new coach trying to figure things out. New QB. New WR. New coaches in the trench with you. That Steichen, Siri, Hurts, Goedert, Smith pipeline is pretty crucial here. We might just be developing something here. Let’s see.

I think trading for Watson and making Hurts his backup would be a good position to be in. Watson is expensive however. So what cap relief money would they throw in. How many picks we gotta give up? That part is sounding steep.

Not like you…..Shew isn’t in any plans other than backing up Hurts. You can have your dreams of the great Shewmania. Glad he beat the Jets. Might need him to win this next one versus the…ughhh….Football Team? That’s still an actual thing, right? They legitimately think they are so great and superior. Worth sooo much money…this and that. But have no name. Love how embarrassing it feels.

No to Watson until his legal problems are resolved

While i'm not for benching Hurts because Minchew had a good game what do you do if Hurts lays an egg against the Redskins?

That would be 2 in a row and you could lose the team.

Don’t think losing this team is his problem at all. They all have each other’s backs. Even though he didn’t play great against NY. He still hit Ward dead in the hands on a TD in the first half. Lost Kelce that really cost this offense. Penalty negating another TD. Whatever that was by Watkins. Goedert took a mental holiday mostly I think. Was engaged blocking…I will say. Reagor just laid his huge stinker all over the game. Oh yeah….and running for 77 yards isn’t nothing.

But I’m not so sure Hurts will be ready for that game. High ankle sprains almost all take a month to heal from….at least.

Could get Faleelele our new RT and Lindstrom the BC Center on day two in the draft. Faleelele could even start at RG for a year or two. Swing G/T situation. Ideal to pipeline him to learn from Lane for a season. Might be too big of a luxury.

Kenyon Green Texas A@M

This is a top G in this draft. He could very easily be sitting on the board at 18 or something.

Would you take him with your first pick?

Was the point to GB... as to why he needed to see it this year.  We aren't seeing a legit shot.  Sunday didn't do anything for Minshew, it mostly put a bad light on Hurts.     So my original point remains, I would have played Hurts if he could have suited up.

Oh well for me I found my BU QB. if we draft another and Shew wins the job outright so be it. He stepped right in and played a nice game for us. Imagine after 6-8 games he would play even better.I didn't see how far Shew could throw it(with accuracy). I was hoping to see him unleash one deep(really deep) to Smith

GB wanted to prove another QB could play better than Hurts... I didn't need to see it... it's obvious.

True, I always like to see things in action, not just "assume". I saw coherent play, not the haphazard/indecisive we have seen with Hurts. Only 1 game vs a bad team, but he played better vs a bad team than Hurts. Would love to see him vs the Wuss where he would actually have to play and throw the whole 60 instead of laying back at the end. But with only 3 days prep with the 1's,I liked what I saw

I think that's possible... just won't be with that QB... for much longer anyway.

No to Watson because he breaks the bank, have we learned nothing?

He may have lost them already. I would love to see shew vs the wuss because it would test him more. What sad is Shady even sees it, but ham doesn't lol

Think you might find a playoff team. Maybe even a hot playoff team that’s dangerous with the way they can run. Especially if we are allowed an early lead….but just need to stay close enough into things to be effective.

Minshew is under contract next year for cheap.  We didn't find anything , he is going to be here.  Hurts will not be a backup here.   That's not how it works... he was drafted to be gimmick play , backup and the traded... you know factory style.    Long term backup is not someone you need to change the whole offense for.  With Hurts its starter or bust here.  Another team can get him for gimmick.

More importantly this idea that we need Hurts to run the ball .... FALSE!

I know but at the very LEAST we have a BU QB. Shew has started before,so it's not an impossibility and why I said to trade Hurts for whatever pick you can get. he would be a decent BU in say Baltimore because that is their style. Fitting a round peg in a square hole is not working here

The Colts also had Brissett, which required a total team changeover and they lost him ASAP because the team was built for LUCK. When Wentz became available, plug and play. Not hard to figure out

True I was shocked at this... probably because Shady played with the running QBs enough... but his guys could throw it with those strong arms,  so he's not really impressed much with just the running from Hurts.

Lots of questions. Is ARod gone from GB?  Who will be the QB in SF in 2022? Where does Watson land? Is Miami happy enough with Tua? Does Wilson stay in Seattle?
