Stopped by a Liquor store here in AnneArundel MD. Another fan walked in with an older Eagles hat we exchanged greetings as Eagles fanatics do... McLauren plays many of his snaps out of the slot. Week one with no preseason games....we need the defense to learn each other. Put it all together. Man coverage is less thought for the defenders. Probably the surest route to take. But on the other hand we need to work on that synergy. The S instep with the corners. What to do on motions. On and on...,just dont think we want to try to be too fancy this first game. I’m thinking a bit of work in progress for everybody to start this season.

Backup role would be huge if we can land Glenn starting experience as both a T and G 

Bluff called with Peters ... miraculously he wants to play left tackle now...lol            

"The OL mess"     Is basically Brooks injury causing the proper backup Pryor to go into the starting lineup ... and Dillard;s injury to prolong Peters tenure at LT.    The real " mess" will be when Peters comes out of the game, then we will see what's up?     

The issue still remains to me, because it was never about Peters playing LT (that move was easy to see, regardless of the BS with his contract)... it's not having 2 guys we know can play it like we have had for the last 3 years with any combo of Peters, Big V and Dillard.  That is what occurred once we lost Dillard, the luxury that we have had the last 3 years is no longer there.  So hopefully Peters can play as much as possible. Hopefully when he comes out, the replacement does ok.  

My big concern has been and will be the DL.  The depth at DT to me is a must, because my confidence in the DEs at the moment is not there.  Graham still good, but who knows when his play slips... Barnett on the cusp of being almost on the cusp of being 2 years away ... that's how I see him until he actually steps up to being above average.  And not " per snap"  it's about earning the volume of snaps in the first place.    Sweat, is good for a backup... it;s still a backup level.   Curry is what he is, another backup.   It's not bad at all, it;s just really so so at DE for me, with potential to be bad just as much if not more that to be anything above average.     And big picture, the DL needs to play well for the defense to be any good.  To even have a  chance.   The LBs and DBs I don;t even concern myself with, they are in cleanup roles, without the DL playing at least at a " very good" level, it doesn't matter.

Skill positions on offense, I love the youth,  Can' t be any worse from where it was last year.  Just excited to see new young faces in there.

Yes in the 2021 draft... otherwise why would he say I'm preparing for the 2021 draft?      If your question is can he sign now ... For him, he doesn' t want to sign now, take the year off and get drafted with the guarantees. 

We also don't have a big RB, which is part of the reason Id like to see Mailata cross trained that way. Everyone knows JP's beaten by speed,  not power like Dillard. Mailata would help with that and be a weapon at the same time.

Sanders isn’t that small and can always call up someone like Warren or Holyfield

I wanted to see him cross trained as a TE.Hes a big boy and those rubgy guys don't go down easily.With our present TE's we would have the time to teach him.The next GRONK lol

Epps and James are both interesting. They have decent measurables (both are around 200 pounds and run in the 4.5 40 range) and both came from the Vikings, who had a very good secondary at the time. I am somewhat skeptical that they are anything special, but the team seems really high on them (Howie also talked them up) so maybe they are legit depth guys.

2-4m for an experienced backup that can play G or T on either side for us not a terrible investment. Getting Glenn doesn’t change for me though i had 3 scenarios for us getting him and getting him as a backup was one of them. 
 

But it is about what he will sign and play for and definitely it paying him top $
