He threw to Reagor eight times against the Giants. Reagor crapped the bed. Wonder if Hurts throws were to Godwin instead of Reagor what the results would be? Hmmmmm…..I don’t think you’d have much ammo to complain about hurts is what I think.

One game, One game smith had no stats to speak of. That is a waste of talent. There is no consistent play from Hurts,he just wings it every game. Smith had a GREAT game-one game, then disappeared because of the QB play. You think Godwin would stand for 1 target in ANY game?

Obviously you and I have a totally opposite view of how to rebuild a team. You want to buy a team(like the dream team we tried once). I do not

Yea we are very different. I want to use every avenue available to me.

Maybe….but not what I’m seeing. And when Kelce goes down our team falls to crap. I think I can easily make a case for trading  up for Linderbaum being the wisest move of all. Maybe we’ll get lucky and he’ll fall to us.

Interesting to see what the Eagles plan is for C we have Semaulo who we seemed to have been grooming to take over at C and we have Dickerson who was a college C

We keep throwing money down the WR draft hole it’s hard for me to have any trust there. We can draft Oline. Can draft TE. Probably even RB. As lost getting to where I’d rather just run 13 personnel and keep drafting TE. 1 WR and 3 TEs we can draft well at.

I think to build a team you have to use both effectively FA and the draft…. I mean 2017 doesn’t happen for us if not for some good FA additions and some good draft picks.

Agreed. But when you have the draft capital we have this year, you HOPE to fill most with rookie picks. if you see a need on your draft board you cannot cover,I am fine with a FA or 3. I try to fill from the draft IF possible

And go back into the debt/cap space issues you always complain about. can't have it both ways

Have Toth taking backup C snaps also. Of coarse he’s been taking backup T snaps plenty last year. Backup G snaps a bunch also.

You talking about how Smith did nothing against the Jets?

BTW when we chose Smith he didn't look very happy. Why is that? Because we had no QB. These rooks want stat lines, they want to be stars and get paid. Put Smith in cincy or on any team with a QB and watch him go

he doesn't get targeted consistently. Personally I don't think Hurts has the accuracy to hit him in a small window

I can agree we have lacked WR development. No arguement there. new staff,so far I see no improvement as far as calling plays for your star WR and/or the QB can't hit him,so we have 2 problems, but that should not stop taking the top WR's if we find one. eventually we will find a QB,just questioning how long that takes. maybe more staff shake ups

Wilson.,Smith and Quez would be formidable going forward if we can find a passing QB

Ok gents,I am out for a bit. Nice banter going

We’ve had Oline issues all season also. Seumalo out. Brooks out. Rookie Dickerson was terrible all that pass blocking early. Run blocking he’s killing people. Helped him settle in pass blocking also. Lane been out a few games. Mailata was injured. Driscoll been on IR twice. Our pass blocking was questionable for a good amount of the season.

Detroit did that too. Draft WR in the 1st round 3 years in a row. Look how much it helped them!

I think Detroit had other issues ... we can't focus so much on one position.   we have 3 picks, gotta get the best player each time so that we can build something.   The mindset has to be that this is going to take time, if we worry about " oh we can sign a free agent here and put a bandaid on this etc.... its not going to work.   At this point for me, no position is off the table early (and please nobody say kicker, punter long snapper etc...you know what I'm saying)    Even if there was a stud TE, pair him with Goedert wouldn't be the worst thing.   We need OL, we need DL, we need LB, CB, S, WR, could use help at RB since Sanders is in his last year next year.  Etc

Our OL has been playing fine we have had injuries sure but not that many issues big difference it is nothing like last season

Yeah, I don't get the idea of OL issues?????  Has to be one of the top OL in the league by far this year.  The product on the field has been really good... last year we jhad more guys missing by far, but the product on the field was brutal.  Regarding the OL play?    For an Eagles fan to complain about OL issues this year is hilarious?   You will never see anything even close to last year ever again.   The # of line combos ... all 5 positions having players take their very first ever NFL snap ...  and using like 5 and 6 deep at each position (except only 2 or 3 at C)   You won't see that again.

Both proven themselves as NFL LG

Jameson Williamson….is he in this conversation? He lit up Georgia’s defense. All pretty much NFL talent there. His next matchup he faces top prospect DBs in Cincy.  I think he could move himself into the top dog WR draft spot with a big bowl game…..if he didn’t already with that massive SEC Championship Game.

Like your boy Wentz? Well that already failed to develop any receivers.

Fulgham was pretty good... then he fell off the cliff with the next QB.   But big picture, the WR issue has been one for a while..  2 decent ones with Maclin and Desean...  decent ones in 2017...  but other than that...we have T.O in 2004... one guy.   Irving Fryer in the mid 90s... one guy.    For a few decades ... it's really hard for me to blame any of the QBs for this.

Last year was as bad as it gets. Bad players and tons on injuries. Terrible combo. Still…..you’ve had to notice what they’ve gone through this year. Kelce went fine it was disaster. Lane wasn’t playing that great….then takes games off to get his mind right. Driscoll on IR twice. He had two games he was pretty abused in.  I like him overall though. Seumalo out. Brooks out. Mailata got injured. Came back at RT and didn’t look great. Basically has three down weeks. Dillard did well. Herbig has struggled this season….let’s be honest. But he’s all we have left. Dickerson had no TC or PS. It showed when he was forced into action at RG. Then moved to LG. Was terrible pass blocking early. Flat out terrible. But then we started running the ball. Get him, Lane and Mailata run blocking and they’re hurting people. Not surprising when you wear down defenders they are a step slower on the attack. So the pass blocking has looked better. Kelce the only constant here. Every other guy had several weeks of struggles or injury combo. They flat out mauling people run blocking now on the big picture. So things have been worked out. Get Brooks back/Herbig settles and no more injuries and things look good.

Who is the " star" WR?   We don't have one here.    Good, pretty good... potential... that's a long way from " star"   lets not get carried away.

I agree. Developing a quality receiver in DeVonta. DeAndre Hopkins he isn’t

The line has been playing well on the field.   You can credit that to 3 things.

1. Their OL coach

2.  Everyone already has NFL experience

3.  They are more talented simply because they haven't had to go to 5th string yet.

I don't understand what you are trying to get at here?  Are you really reaching to make a point that the OL play has made it difficult for your QB this year?   I think you have about 30 other QBs who would disagree with you.
