The line has been playing well on the field.   You can credit that to 3 things.

1. Their OL coach

2.  Everyone already has NFL experience

3.  They are more talented simply because they haven't had to go to 5th string yet.

I don't understand what you are trying to get at here?  Are you really reaching to make a point that the OL play has made it difficult for your QB this year?   I think you have about 30 other QBs who would disagree with you.

Seumalo, Brooks, Dickerson, Driscoll….Herbig we are on our third and fifth G right now

No Carter/ Moss or Bruce/Holt

I'm curious to just look across the league since Lurie took over... compare WRs.    It's pathetic.    I mean, since Jaws and Carmichael,  we haven't had a QB/ WR combo where both are good at their own position,  play together for any length of time.

That's pretty pathetic.    It's why I'm upset at the big picture....instead of following the gossip ... I'm seeing an organization that made the same mistake with Wentz as they did with McNabb.    Even the next QB that comes, they need to give him better than Smith.    It's been a F#$%ing lifetime already,  let's give the fans a good combo they can enjoy for 7 - 10 years.

????   5 and 6 deep at each position last year...  Brooks didn't even play at all, so that's not counting him.

Go across the line and tell me when a linemen 15th on the depth chart has played?    It's not close.  On top of that, just like I said.... Dickerson more talent,  and the other guys more experience now.   Not close to last year.

Lol... you are using 5 guys at 2 positions.    Trying to make it seem like 5th string.   Awful argument

But what is the idea?  Is it trying to say Hurts has had to overcome bad OL play?   You got any beach front property in Kansas you want to sell?

I agree. Developing a quality receiver in DeVonta. DeAndre Hopkins he isn’t

He is going down the shop path good WR producing with no QB

Think we are down playing how good a season Smith is having especially with our lack luster passing QB.

Smith has 50 catches 701 yards 4 tds in 12 games

Now is he going to become that true #1 idk but can’t ask for much more from the guy as a rookie

It’s not all about last year. But recognize our difficulties this year. Lane can be a beast…. But wasn’t until he came back from hiatus.

Fifth G as a starter is far from ideal

He’s doing fine. Is he the envy of every other team? Not thinking so.

Tell me how many rookie WRs were the envy of other teams lol 😂

You can say Chase but I’d be willing to bet Smith has similar numbers with a QB like Burrow.

LB Zach Cunningham was waived by Texans. Supposedly late for a COVID test. They signed him to a lucrative deal last season. Reworked the deal so he’s super cheap to be picked up off waivers for anybody else.

Exactly. Let’s not act like we have the most envious WR room in the league. I like DeVonta.

Did I say we had the most envious WR in the league please tell me where I said that???? I said you are down playing how good a season he is having as a rookie

Godwin, Smith and Goedert would be formidable

You are trying to go to the SB when this team is rebuilding-not happening,so go ahead and spend 14 mil. It's not going to help

Jameson Williamson….is he in this conversation? He lit up Georgia’s defense. All pretty much NFL talent there. His next matchup he faces top prospect DBs in Cincy.  I think he could move himself into the top dog WR draft spot with a big bowl game…..if he didn’t already with that massive SEC Championship Game.

You take ONE game. all you posts are about ONE game. Look at the total body of work. I think they need LOWLIGHT vids along with the highlight vids. You site ONE game where Hurts shined-ONE. The overall body of works STINKS(and you know it)

Last year was as bad as it gets. Bad players and tons on injuries. Terrible combo. Still…..you’ve had to notice what they’ve gone through this year. Kelce went fine it was disaster. Lane wasn’t playing that great….then takes games off to get his mind right. Driscoll on IR twice. He had two games he was pretty abused in.  I like him overall though. Seumalo out. Brooks out. Mailata got injured. Came back at RT and didn’t look great. Basically has three down weeks. Dillard did well. Herbig has struggled this season….let’s be honest. But he’s all we have left. Dickerson had no TC or PS. It showed when he was forced into action at RG. Then moved to LG. Was terrible pass blocking early. Flat out terrible. But then we started running the ball. Get him, Lane and Mailata run blocking and they’re hurting people. Not surprising when you wear down defenders they are a step slower on the attack. So the pass blocking has looked better. Kelce the only constant here. Every other guy had several weeks of struggles or injury combo. They flat out mauling people run blocking now on the big picture. So things have been worked out. Get Brooks back/Herbig settles and no more injuries and things look good.

So people getting hurt is not an issue? I wish we could draft 4 deep starters at every position-again not happening-keep dreaming we have starters on 4th string

You have no idea what he is capable of because we dont have a QB. BTW Who was throwing to Hopkins???

Who is the " star" WR?   We don't have one here.    Good, pretty good... potential... that's a long way from " star"   lets not get carried away.

Hard to know. smith can be a star, but we have no capable QB, so we have no clue what his staus is until we get one

You dont know what he can do because your boy Hurts SUCKS as a passer. JJ would suck here too with the lame QB we have

More draft fails and hanging on to guys that suck

Smith could be that,we don't know and we won't until we get a QB

I'm not downplaying at all.   By asking the question if he is going to become a true #1, you just made my point.   He isn't a star.    I'm more than fine with him though.  The point is more toward the organization for not finding the stars ... or for that matter, WRs as good as Smith... for a long period of time.   I think for the future success of the organization they are going to have to put a WR next to him that's at minimum, just as good.   That should be the goal anyway.

Add wilson and you might. At least you have improved the position?

Ham, the OL is playing well this year... do you disagree?     So lets not ask like OL is a problem.  Last year it was, this year it's the best part of our team.

Joe tell me when have you ever said a rookie was a star…. I thought fletcher had a great rookie year didn’t call him a star until probably year 3…. Wentz flashed wonders as rookie didn’t call him a star until he broke out year 2.

Was Devante Adams a star WR his first year??? What about Rodgers did we know he was a star his rookie season did anyone thing he was going to be the player he has become???
