Pickett there when they pick, I would draft him first and go from there....

beats wasting 2 draft picks on him..... At least we have two more #1's and a #2

Depends how the draft plays out. Right now I think we have back to back picks at 12,13,so it wouldn't matter

Dolphins play Jets, Saints, Titans, Patriots - Figure 8-9 wins

Colts play - Patriots, Cardinals, Raiders and Jaguars - 9-10 wins

We play Wash, NY, Wash and Dallas - 8-9 wins

Not sure where that will leave us. Probably middle of the pack so 14-17  for 2 of them and maybe 18-20 for the colts?

Sorry Joe, I should have put "star" in quotes(as in planned potential #1). At any rate,we'll never know with a non passing QB.Pointless pick and a waste of talent for Smith

I'm with you there, I'm just more relaxed about it cause we have the kid for 5 years, and I don't see the QB lasting more than next year.

I think it's 12,13,17 now,so that sounds pretty close

A big game tonight for the Colts pick, we want Pittsburgh to win and stay ahead of them.   For me, priority would be keeping them out of the playoffs, because then you know all your picks are locked in at 18 or better.    If they get in a win, each game drops the pick 4 spots.

If any team were to make the playoffs, better that it's the Eagles.   Not only because it's our team, but let's face it, they aren't winning anything come playoffs and the pick would be 19.

If you give me choice of 3 picks under 20, I'll take it without hesitation regardless if it's 17, 18 and 19.   My guess is we end up picking earlier than 18 with atleast 2 of them though

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2022/consensus-big-board-2022    Concensus of 28 big boards,so if this holds Olave,a CB/LB and Pickett(looks like Wilson will be gone) But Olave is not much worse. Olave was my first WR choice, but watcthing Wilson,he is a tad better. Either is better than reagor

SO we are back to arguing/discussing which position we need the most lol. It's like an annual event. Ham wants a C early,I don't think that is necessary. But his op is as good as mine. O line is not terrible,I could see adding a nice propsect/BU. Whomever scouted Mailata needs a huge xmas bonus lol. If Dickerson works at G,that's fine.It was kind of iffy that he play at all this year,so I'm glad he sucked it up and got out there in real time. he was  beast at C in college. I'm not overly concerned about the C spot, you can always find one somewhere. I have to give kudos to the LS because be filled Dorenbos shoes day 1

I know noone else is bothered by this, but I still am. It's hard to trust Lane now at ROT. I am not an insider, but we can't operate on a game to game basis if he "feels like playing" or not. IDK what his issues are or how extensive, but maybe it's time to find his replacement? What are everyone's thoughts on this because it bugs me to no end. pass rush is not there like in the past, they are solid but not dominating and I'd like to have that back,so plenty of holes to fill. CB/LB we all know are annual issues

For me the age and the contract are thr issues with Lane.  I assume they may go OL, but would not bother me if they don't just yet.   A lot of young kids here that I wouldn't mind seeing get playing time.   Just get some players.

All of which are better than most team's #1

And all thanks to Coach Stout! No words can describe his genius with OL men and the job he has done for this org. Still here after 2 coaching changes.

Brooks has been dealing with this for years. I think it was when he signed his megadeal and Lane was out….he had a meltdown and couldn’t play.

Apparently he was hooked on anti depressants. Ped knew about it and got him connected with some help. Ped said he used to throw up before every game. The latest issues seem to be related to withdrawl of said meds, but it appears he is through the worst of it,so perhaps my concerns are misplaced. From all angles he appears good to go(barring physical injury),so like you said it looks like we have a little time there. I read/researched all this after my initial post on this subject. I'm g;ad he is getting the help he needs as a person as well as a football player

Hurts isn’t suiting up this week

Yes Ped also mentioned Brooks. He recovered faster than Lane

Yes, right now it is.

It's the chicken/egg concept. Need a QB or WR before the other. Remember this team is starting from near bare necessities. Hard to have a "star" QB and WR at same time. NFL is a revolving door since FA started. Not like the 70's when MANY players would be with the same team their entire career.

Maybe next year an NFL caliber QB that can get us on track as SB competitors? First we need the rest of the pieces and look only towards Division title for a start.

I'm hoping to find both in the next draft. Yeah "dynasties" are all gone lol

I would rather draft one than pay huge money for an FA with zero guarantees he succeeds. Maybe we do both lol(QB)

Of course one could argue the Colts did it(LOL)

He would have had to deal with it... but the physical injuries didn't give him the opportunity to even attempt to play.

Colts didn't pay the huge money, Lurie did

But he actually missed a game because of only his mental issue

Yeah the Pats, Failed to string together any kind of dynasty. That’s a thing of the seventies.

Watching Jefferson tonight makes me wanna punch Howie in the face

2016 was it?

Titans claimed Zach Cunningham. That means we didn’t put in a claim. Curious. It’s not that he can’t play. Seems more like a culture thing.
