I have zero clue why you are gung ho to get into the playoffs. I want to lose out for a better pick(at least the one thats ours we control).; We win just enough too stay .500 for a decade and get mediocre draft picks which results in us staying at .500. Rinse and repeat. We need to suck rocks and get better picks for this year and maybe next.By THEN you should have the talent to talk playoffs and be able to back it up

To me it’s part of just being a fan. I want my team to win and get better. If we had only one win on the season….then I’d say tank out. Siri and Hurts getting to the playoffs this year would be huge for them. That playoff atmosphere in the opponents stadium. Good stuff there.

It seems to me if we finish around .500 in Siri’s first season then you’d expect us to improve from there. Shouldn’t the 2022 draft class make us better? 2023?

Growth of our young guys we already possess.

We are the tenth ranked offense. Top rushing team in all the land. Top ten in third down conversions and redzone TD percentages. Have been 4-2 over our last six. IF we get in…..we obviously finish these last four positively. We started our year so poorly after week one that we have to earn our way in the playoffs. To me….that’s good. If these guys respond and win crucial division games to make the playoffs….how is that a negative????? I think it would be fantastic!!!! I think they can do it! Beat Washington!!!!

Yes I would if we get an actual QB that can pass with a top ground game and help the defense should improve drastically

Siri is a good coach, he has shown he can adjust. I have to wonder if the run approach came with Lurie/Howie backing off him to let him coach. Because we all know Lurie/Howie like to be involved with the coaches.

Feels like he has earned or gained some traction on that front.

Tank Game to finish last season I was fine with. That’s about it though.

Is he a good coach because he stopped failing? We(most of us)came into the season thinking we were going to be a big rushing team. He was kind of really dumb early. Howard on the PS, trying to pass so much and plenty of examples. Gannon also. So I have to factor that into the evaluation. Got us out of the gate quick with a win week one. But poor coaching after that. Team played undisciplined with tons of those kind of penalties. Top ten offense your first season is hard to argue against.

Again how much was Siri and how much was Howie/Lurie…. Like it isn’t all that out of the realm to think Lurie/Howie told Siri to throw which they did….

You also have to ask how much was Hurts him not handing off the offense still has the same RPO concepts as early season difference is Hurts handing off more

Siri was going to go through growing pain that was a guarantee dude is a first time HC and play caller but he has been coming into his own… He has looked far better then Doug as a rookie HC granted he has a far superior roster then Doug outside of QB

Might be factors of all the above

He has his plus and minuses. Pedey was so good early on with calls. Seemed to know when to go for it and accept penalties and such. Siri had some early failures there much more. Pedey staff was older and wiser on a whole also. Now everybody has tape on our offense to really break it down. Divisional foes are usually first to break you down. So I think a ton is on the line here going forward. Need a strong finish to get a quality grade.

Not his rookie year he didn’t in 2017 yea he was great masterful but wasn’t a rookie HC then

Ham we aren't even at .500 with the easiest schedule in the league

WHy i want Wilson or Olave. I guess noone else sees this as a "hole" but I sure do

Holes everywhere

I’d rather the Eagles take who they perceive is the best player rather then filling the hole… I don’t want to go WR round 1 but I’m also not going to pass one up if he is clearly the best player either

See Dickerson...  was my favorite pick of the draft.  But I don't watch college,  it just seemed to me the obvious reason they took him was the idea he was the best player.  Position wasn't the top need, he was clearly a stud.   Team could afford if he needed time to recover from injury, pick was made for all the right reasons.

I'd like to see the same with this year's draft.

This is why the matchup could be evened up. Injuries happen. COVID happens. Could be a real wild playoffs this year. Week 18 ARod goes down….look out. We are going to run the ball on anybody.

I gotta be honest.   I love your imagination.   If I had like a movie or some kind of publication company that dealt with fiction or whatever... you would be in charge of the creativity department.   You have a talent for seeing a plain sheet of paper as a rainbow covered poster board.

Your talking team of the decade. I was more thinking dynasty style. Chiefs right on that doorstep right now.

Yeah,  if you read my original post, it was wondering who would be the dynasty of the 20s?    Tampa is first team to win one.

Yet he still stopped and signaled first downs again wasting time with thirty seconds to go. That’s what some here are missing. It’s not just about being talented. We have a good solid team in this locker room. This team has come off as blue collar and hard working. Real good practice and meeting room work spaces.

That's a reflection of the coach and his staff.

Seen an interesting one would you guys trade a 2022 1st rounder to secure an extra 2023 1st and some????

100%.   And I think it's exactly what happens.  And why my main concern was Indy staying in playoff race to get that 3rd first rounder.   Make 2 nice picks, trade down to get an extra 1st next year, plus more.   Absolutely what I think will happen.

With this formula, if you didn't draft QB this year, you are still in good shape to get one next year if needed.

My guess for us in the draft is QB,DL,CB in no real order just the 3 spots I think we will snag round 1

If the QB turns out to be franchise guy, this would be absolutely the best scenario and possibly scene as our best draft ever!

Imo, I think you are full of spit here.  This is 100% trying to justify Hurts as a legit QB....absolutely nothing else.

I thought we traded back….and then traded back up to take Smith over Parsons.

Stuff happens. Like a late hit by Clowney. Or a corner being out. Any given Sunday!

I read what you said. We also were talking dynasties. So I made my own statement.
