Stuff happens. Like a late hit by Clowney. Or a corner being out. Any given Sunday!

Wow, I mean...this from the negative Nancy who was all about needing to get that #1 seed a few years ago.

You want this front office rewarded with a playoff appearance and a win now?    Has nothing to do with justifying Hurts as a legit NFL QB?

Holes everywhere

I think the O line is the best thing we got lol

I thought we traded back….and then traded back up to take Smith over Parsons.

I said "it put us in position" I never said that we got that pick outright. If I did,  show me where. Dang pick every word in every sentence apart LOL. We didn't have pick 32 or even 31, but we had enough firepower to make the moves needed to secure him

Like our 2020 WR's and O line?

Chase Claypool their first pick at 49 in the 2nd 2020.

Dionte Johnson 3rd round 66th pick 1999.

James Washington 2nd round 60th pick.

JuJu 2nd round pick 62.

Just interested me how they have been doing it.

GB does it also. We are good with TE's Perhaps we need a TE factory(since we may have one). We develop them and trade them off(Burton,Celek,Ertz). I'm hoping the staffing changes help other spots. TE is far more advanced than when I played the position. We seem to have some nice up and coming prospects again. We are pretty good at O line also(not counting the decimated 2020 line where all the good players got hurt which wasn't a coaching/staff issue) Pats good with RB's,they take no names and make them household names on game day

That's a reflection of the coach and his staff.

I think personnel is key also. Can’t control an Antonio Brown. Chase Clayppol kind of fell I think for a reason. A solid strong locker room can handle a ‘unique’ ‘me’ type player. Tomlin has shown a talent for separating  an handling tough personalities. Big Ben, Brown, Claypool, LeVeon Bell. He’s gotten these guys to be very productive. Had the team playing ball with incredible success. I think Pittsburgh’s coaches are phenomenal. Tomlin is a rock. Keith Butler understudied with the best forever.

Take a moment this morning to think of the tornado victims

When that front came through here earlier in the evening there was a small tornado to the north and south of us. No injuries though

LOL wait a sec, Brown gone, LeVon gone, Claypool benched. I will give you the last one,no real talent in firing people though, but they have a team people want to play for. They are going to need a new QB which will set them back. It will be interesting to see how fast they rebuild with a soild coach and staff already in place as opposed to our "trial and error" method. Lurie, I guess, doesn't want to spend the money for a top coach he would have to pay(if they would even sign here lol). Maybe that's why we get stuck with rook coaches, because the good experienced coaches know Howie/Lurie

I was just reading about how FedEx Field got rid of their crappy playing surface. They are going to use the same grass as we do. Being grown in Charlotte for them. Rivera probably got this done finally. So many bad injuries probably due to that old crap surface.

Mike Tomlin was a rookie coach hire by Pittsburgh.

Tomlin got the most out of these less than ‘football only’ type players though while Steelers. Impressive coaching ability. Guys that could rip the team apart.

Aren't all players football types?? LOL Why would I want players that are NOT "football only" types. I want them 1000% focused on their jobs. Maybe I am misunderstanding the post

True. This team hasn’t been great on that surface so far either. Hopefully getting used to it now.

Many of the best athletes aren’t necessarily all about the sport they are great in. They’d rather live that life of fame and fortune. Hobbies and interests are good. Strip clubs and automatic rifles not as much. Some of the best athletes are just thug also. Some guys are really great people and study, work hard at their craft. NFL players are still just people. I don’t know if most people love their job…or if it’s just a job.

It’s pretty easy to trust in players that live and breathe football. You know, barring injury, they are going to improve. Those are players you can rely on.

Wonder how well Siri can handle the diva type players? HC in the NFL presents so many different challenges. Even dealing with the Brooks and Ertz situations this offseason. Knowing the GM is trying to trade them but wasn’t successful. Ertz was fairly well played. Brooks needs to come back and finish the season for us here. Ertz and Brooks are smart guys to though. They know/knew that performing on the field is in their own best interest.

I'm not, I just want the talent first, then I could judge him.  He gets an incomplete until they get a legit NFL QB on the roster.

Of course for me, I was happy with the previous guy when he actually has the talent.
