I was reading how Pryor sets very shallow and Lane sets very deep. This is the issue I hope they have been working on. Heck practicing T maybe made Pryor hyper focus on getting back in his pass drop.

I think this is why Peters never liked playing with Wiz, and basically told the team to start Seumalo. I think Pryor will be okay, and if not they have an option with Driscoll. Personally I think Driscoll will be a better option eventually, since he can do more in terms of getting to the second level.

Vinny  Curry was ranked 17 best pass rusher last season. He fits Schwartz system better than you guys are giving credit.

I have always liked Curry as a 3rd/4th DE. He will never be a 16 game starter but he has a role here and does it about as well as you can expect.

I don’t know. Kind of was thinking Herbig is the next man up.

Herbig has the same problem as Pryor (he's big and slow), so if they want to get more athletic at RG, Driscoll is the best option.

Elite? Is Brandon Graham going down in the Eagles Hall of Fame? I think he is. I also think he could pull out his career season this year.

Is graham going to the hof I don’t think he is.... Very good player definitely not elite though

4 protections in place Opeta, Burnett, Ostman, Williams

Kendall Fuller and Fabian Monroe areboth questionable to play. Could mean Darby is their guy.

Depends what type of OL we want at which place.... Brooks though a great athlete in his own right for his size is still a bigger slower G compared to many guys. Many even questioned his fit in our OL because of it....

The Football Team named McKissic their starting Tailback

I’m really kinda excited for our secondary for the first time in a long time.

I really like what we have at Cb right now Slay is a legit #1 CB, Maddox has always flashed and at least to me was always better suited as the #2 or slot guy... NRC underrated slot man.

Mcleod has always been a solid deep S has some history with NRC to I believe didn’t they play together for the rams????

Mills might be the guy im most interested in seeing we been calling for him to get moved to S for awhile and they seemingly have had some high praise for him....

Not sure why it is shocking to see Suds as the #2 QB I knew that how it was going to be... Though I see him as Chase Daniels unfortunately if knock on wood nothing happens Wentz were to go down for serious time... Believe Hurts would jump Suds and become the starter

Eagle fans....football is BACK! Watched BYU absolutely destroy Navy last night. Whoa!
Not going to lie, I am concerned about how the racial protests will play out with NFL players. I LOVE the NFL, but the players need to be conscious that they could EASILY turn off the casual fan by making a huge deal on gameday. I wish they would put their money to HELP educate/train the police departments vs cancel a game or sit out a game. Those Two things do NOTHING to help the situation. Just saying.

Back to football. Boy the TV analysts have the Cowboys winning everything and have the best roster in the league. Say what?

The Eagles O Line is a BIG concern. ZERO depth if they lose anyone else.

The DEs are very average outside of Graham. The LBs are who? The DBs, outside of Slay, are uhhhhhh ok. Cant wait to see them play and show me how good they can be. Depth looks very iffy everywhere. Too many missed draft picks lately!

I sure hope everyone out there is healthy. This covid thing has been.....frustrating. Pray the medical world finds a vaccine quickly and gets our lives back to somewhat "normal” again....whatever the new normal is.

I didn't go back and read anything. Hope to read posts from Cunningham, Joemas, BG, Trini, Bleeding Green...Woody...I miss Woody...and all the rest of my Eagles friends from the prior place Going forward. Does everyone post on this site now?

Don't sleep on Marcus Epps. He wasn't great last year, but the coaches have been really high on him and he is a much better athlete than Will Parks. I can easily see him being the third safety next year and the starting SS after McLeod leaves (with Mills moving to FS), with K'von Wallace playing the slot. He is going to get a lot of playing time until Parks comes back, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him move up the depth chart.

Our salary cap situation makes it pretty unlikely that we re-sign a lot of our free agents in the secondary other than Mills. I can see LeBlanc, NRC and Parks moving on next year. But I think we are pretty set with McLeod, Mills and Epps at safety, and Maddox, Slay and James (who was getting a lot of praise from Schwartz) at corner, with Wallace floating between both positions. They like Grayland Arnold (who was working at free safety) and Elijah Riley (who was working as the third-team slot corner) as well.

Hey Senhor! Yes, most of us are here. You are missed. On my phone so this is short. Hope to keep hearing from you. Stay well

Was just listing the starters though I guess I should count the 3rd S expecting they will have a fairly large role as well

Mjk! Awesome!

Don’t really have any key FA next offseason really I could see us keeping mills make something work with NRC im

not as stressed over the cap as many are on here Howie always makes it work

Is Curry the 17th best DE in the NFL?   See here is my issue.   You talk up Barnett, Sweat and Curry.    I've been a fan since Carl Hairston, Charles Johnson, Claude Humphry ... then Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Clyde Simmons  .... Kearse and Burgess with Douglas and Whiting off the bench I thought was good... 2017 group with younger versions of Curry, Graham with Barnett (who seems the same for 3 years) and Long .... those are lines that I have seen as an Eagles fan.       Right now with Graham, Barnett, Curry and Sweat  .... I see a good starter in Graham (who I hope can keep up his level of play) and 3 guys who I would say are " average starters at best, but good bench guys.    Barnett has potential I guess, so far he seems to take advantage when teams make mistakes in protection, not too much as far as just beating a guy, especially any quality OL?    Curry and Sweat, they show good production in the pass rush using a relatively small sample size compared to what a normal " good"  pass rusher will have via a higher snap count.   Sweat and Barnett seemed to get injured, while Curry and Graham are both 32 years old.

Again, I'm not concerned that our DE group will be bad .... I'm concerned that they won't be anything special ... which means IMO that our D won;t be anything special, which could mean our typical season as a bottom rung playoff team that may or may not make the playoffs and may or may not win a playoff game.   We've had a lot of those type seasons over the past 2 decades, yet at this point we know after this year we are at a crossroads.     Fast forward to March for a second ... if we have a 9 or 10 win season with a 1st or 2nd round playoff exit ... with our DEs being so so ... Barnett is up for big $$$, Curry and Graham turn 33 ... what do we look like as far as being able to improve that DE situation going forward?

They will be fine with the cap but the team is basically the team for the next two years to three years. I don't think they will be able to bring in any prominent free agents, and will probably lose a bunch of depth pieces, so the young guys will have to step up. This draft class and next year's draft class has to yield 15 or so useful players, so they can't afford any 2017 catastrophes.

They have to be right about guys like Maddox, Mills, Epps and James in the secondary, since there will not be any more Slays and Will Parks to bail them out. The young wrs have to be decent. Those are my biggest concerns, along with oline. If we get decent play from those three positions, I think we will be fine this year and the next couple of years. If not, there's not a cavalry of free agents heading over the ridge to save us from bad drafting.

Sanders and Lane may be out for Sunday, or Sanders might be really limited.

Even if Lane plays, I don't see him being in there for the whole game due to all the time he has missed.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the oline. They have a few options, Pryor at RG, Driscoll/Mailata at RT, Herbig at RG, Pryor at RT. Certainly it is not ideal that Lane is missing time. Mailata has gotten the most reps at RT, so we will see how much they trust him. If he is behind Pryor/Driscoll on the depth chart, I would just cut him.

Interesting tidbit on Get Up this am RE: Daks' contract. No QB has ever played under the franchise tag and then gone on to sign an extension w/ that team.
