I moved on from Wentz to the guy that took his job in Hurts. Maybe I’m the only one here to do that. Wouldn’t be the first time I stood alone on this board.

My only concern with Wentz is he get his 75%

One more game should do it

Seems like plenty here are fine with Trey Lance situation. Third overall pick that needs to be developed. Yet can’t stand that a much later second round pick QB needs to develop. I can’t really understand this logic. If the second rounder wasn’t showing signs of putting in the work then maybe I would be much more hesitant. It’s just that obvious he’s going to work snd improve though. He’s already a middle of the pack league starter. Leading the tenth ranked scoring team. This team has soooooo many things to complain about. Not sure why Hurts is so far and away the top thing for most here.

Sounds good to me. Get MY team that first round pick….get his money off our books. Then we can really move on. Right now we haven’t gotten anything in return for our massive investment in him.

Think it feels like Hurts is being judged for the 35 mil we are paying Wentz. Hurts is being judged for our history making dead cap this year. I don’t believe this is fair. Short sighted agenda based arguments. The funny thing is Hurts might even still overcome ALL this to get us to the postseason. Don’t envision that changing the agendas here though. They’ll say it was all Shew’s doing because we beat the Jets…..or whatever spin they try…and they will try.

I guess to me this feels a bit like the Brandon Graham situation. Seemed like I stood alone preaching patience with him. I could see some of the qualities that would translate to this league. BG was a first round pick however. Seemed like if most on these boards had their way BG would have been tar and feathered and declared a bust. Now he’s under consideration to have his number retired here.

Do we have any SB victories without BG? I don’t think so.

I’ve never called Hurts the best QB. That’s others trying to put words in my mouth. I’ve more spoken of him as a middle of the pack starter that will continue to improve. Brings a unique skill set that DCs are struggling to deal with.

Watching Kupp out there leading his team. Guy is so crucial to them. Out there communicating to everybody what’s going on. 69th overall pick. Not the most athletic phenom athlete. Guy is oozing in the intangibles though.

Boom has a huge block in the sweep right on time

Nothing says pushing an agenda like trying to hold a game the entire organization was purposely losing against Hurts. It’s stuff like this is why teams can’t purposely lose out to get better picks. Because people like you will always hold that against them. We tank the game….you blame Hurts. Pretty much sums up everything you say against Hurts. All agenda based. Let the guy play. Give him a chance. With you: never.

0 for 4....4 games... that's not one game.    Right now he has to win his first division game.   That's the first step.  As a Stan of his, you should appreciate if he achieves that accomplishment.  That would show some growth.

Seems more like what I’ve heard of these Wentz lovers. The guy cried and left our team because he got benched and lost his job to Hurts. Wentz was obviously scared knowing he’d have to earn the starting job against Hurts. That happened. I don’t think Hurts is Montana at all(unlike Wentz apologists). I think he’s a great hard working quality leader. He’s a work in progress QBing in the NFL. Not doing too bad for his first season at the helm. I’d rate him around the middle of the pack in the NFL starting QBs(right around that Colts guy). His intangibles for the team have been great. I really like how he’s very even keel. Never too high or too low. See it rubbing off on all those around him. He’s delivered the most explosive plays of anybody. But he’s also been consistently converting on third downs and in the redzone. That’s a great combination for me. That I can work with. Kids only going to get better. Not sure how that could even be argued against.

Again...and one final time.   If Wentz does not win a SB, his career is a failure.  If Hurts gets a 2nd contract in the NFL, that's success.     But step one for me, I'd like to see him win a division game, by any means necessary is good enough at this point.   Going 0 and 5 vs 5 different QBs, and throwing up another low score, it's not a good intangible.

Siri owns the loss versus the Cowboys. Gameplan was completely against who we are as a team. Arguably Siri’s worst game. Let’s throw throw throw to keep up with dallas. Stupid. Run the ball. Control the clock and TOP. Only positive is that now we are playing more towards our identity. It took such a horrible gameplan to expose and highlight this for Siri. So there is that positive at least.

GL running against their top LB's. What should you do on those 3rd an 7's??? If you want to beat the pies, you gotta use the TE's and speedy slot receivers (Quez)

That’s our QB1. Looking for postseason victories from Hurts. Why he took Wentz job!

Here's your post, You figure it out

LOL he doesn't understand Hurts did not take Wentz's job,he inherited it after we railroaded Wentz out of town

I'm sorry my sides hurt from LMFAO

You preferred the QB just holding on to the ball all day and taking sacks.

I'll take sacks over picks all day. But see Stache threw the ball AWAY when the play wasn't there. That is an NFL QB. A college QB will force the play(see Hurts and he hasn't learned a damn thing)

Parson's has been an absolute beast! So upset we couldn't draw him. Vander Esch is dominant himself when healthy.

BTW, Watkins and 1 other (?) on covid protocol.

I found a pic of Ham. He is out standing in his field. This is the "Hurts farm for the unaware" 🤣

Putting the work in doing what? There is no developmental progress as a QB. Same guy we saw last year running gimmick plays, it's just we moved him from part time to full time

I believe he is already there(17 games @75%=12.75 games) every team has played 13 games

so the 5-7 record Hurts put up is a winning record? You lowered the bar from .500? That is sub bronze

We only have 1 anyway?

Tough kid, great player, does the dirty work too

Yeah ,that's why Ham's "run the ball" theory isn't real effective Vs Dullaz. Those 2 together when healthy are brutal Our O line is good, but the RB's would never make it to the 2nd level IMO. Gotta toss little boop passes over the LB's

SOOOOOO, if Hurts sucks next week through 3 quarters and we stick Stache in and he is better, is Hurts done? Would Howie even allow siri to put stache in now???(barring injury) Not that I really want to win any more games, but if we discover stache works with this team what do you do? I posted Shew vs Lawrence stats(first 14 games). If we let Hurts lose this next game without trying shew,I see the media cranking up the spin/ QB controversy threads. For me this game decides(for me at least) if Hurts is even worth keeping. I guess I am not yet understanding how Hurts beat out Shew in camp if the jets game was any indicator. Howie's ego needs to go

Start with a playoff victory before you get  all SB happy for the Colts. Just one playoff win. Six years no postseason success isn’t a good look. Who wins a playoff game first? Hurts is clearly on the lesser team…..yet it’s really neck and neck here.

August 28th was the trade, he didn't have camp.   No battle, the battle would be next year.
